I am glad City Sports is closing in the Mosaic Center. On November 29, my husband and I went into their store since it was closing.

We looked around and saw their ridiculous prices and headed out the front door. The alarmed beeped and immediately a young female worker came after us and asked us to come back into the store. We were shocked at being accused of stealing. When we walked through the door again the alarm did not sound.

She looked puzzled and said nothing.

Horrible Customer Service

What a horrible company. It has been over a month since we placed an order and have still not received the shoes.

The only resolution the company keeps providing is to track the package via the tracking number. Well we have been and the package is still sitting in the same spot in Massachusetts for the 21st day. I ordered this for my husband on December 14th, 2014 for his birthday on the 27th.

It is now January 21, the shoes are still sitting in the same location and he is still shoeless. This is such a *** show and customer service is out to prove us wrong rather than help us.

City Sports took my money, but didn't send my shoes

Seriously City Sports is the worst company ever. Ordered shoes 12/14 with guaranteed delivery of 7-10 days, and STILL have not received them after being 30 DAYS LATE.

They sent shoes to wrong location, have not apologized, or even offered to make it right. Jason was originally responding (slowly) to emails, but not doesn't respond anymore and I still don't have shoes. Tracking says they are still in the warehouse.

These were supposed to be a gift for my fiancés birthday, but we're now 3 weeks past that and I still have no communication, no shoes. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!

Poor treatment of sales staff for customers

Nothing happened, that's the problem. The "sales staff" in the Bromfield Street store was totally disinterested in selling anything, smiling, or even looking up from whatever it was they were doing.

It was so depressing that I headed for the exit, whereupon the girl @ the checkout counter looked up from her IPhone & said "have a good one". Every other store @ downtown made an effort to be polite and welcoming. Why is this store open for business?

I could have spent a good deal of money had I been encourage to. Too bad, as merchandise was interesting to me.

Avoid City Sports on Boylson St, Boston

I have a problem with City Sports on Boylston Street in Boston. I went there to buy a tennis racket, and I was ready to purchase one! The staff was nowhere to be found, though. Then finally, I went and found somebody who said he was the "tennis guy" but he hardly spoke, you had to drag the words out of the guy and he was extremely *** The reason why I ask for help is because I need it! I pushed everything out of that guy, the worst salesman I have ever seen and I have seen a lot! Like I show him a racket I liked and asked for similar ones, he had no idea and there were a thousand rackets there, then he just goes "that's the only one". I'm not convinced because you don't seem like you know what you're doing!

They didn't offer to sell a bag, they didn't offer to sell tennis balls. It was like "don't buy if you don't want to, we don't care". I wonder, is that the official mentality of City Sports? Then they tell me the stringing would be done the next day, ask for my phone number to contact me but then say "just come after 8 pm, it'll be ready!" Why on earth, then, do you want my number if you're going to dictate the time yourself. And 8pm is a horrible time, you close at 9 anyway, what's the point of offering next day delivery? Besides, how long does stringing take anyway? You should tell the customer that you'll call them when it's ready, don't tell people "just show up one hour close".

Avoid City Sports! At least the one on Boylston. There are many stores with people who actually want to help you get the best you can in a way better manner. A sports city like Boston deserves a better sports chain!
