No connection

AI Highlights
  • City Fibre didn't connect the wire from the pole due to leaves.
  • No contact options for updates from City Fibre or the 4th utility.

City Fibre came but didn't connect the wire from the pole to the line because of leaves next to the pole! (Health and safety) No way to contact and talk to someone, either 4th utility or City Fibre.

So no idea when they will get the job done as I need a tree surgeon, then contact the city council to get traffic control as it's far too unsafe. Where are these poles usually placed? According to this, not near any roads?

Really unhappy about these companies. Phoned up the health and safety of City Fibre and was again fobbed off before the girl put the phone down on me!

User's recommendation: LEAVE THEM WELL ALONE!

A communication company that doesn't want communication.

AI Highlights
  • CityFibre would need to dig up my garden.
  • Vodafone claimed BT Openreach wires; CityFibre partners with them.
  • The AI bot on the site was unhelpful.

I put up with the digging up of the road and pavement believing that once the service was available all would be good. Cityfibre informed me they would need to dig up my garden to complete the installation and connection to my home.

For this reason I chose NOT to use them and look at the alternative broadband providers. I telephoned Vodafone who assured me they use over wires provided by BT Openreach. Now I discover they have partnered CityFibre. I want to speak to someone at CityFibre to discuss the installation BUT!

Every number I telephone gives me an automated message and then cuts me off! Use our Artificial Intelligence BOT on the website. Tried that and no intelligence there.

I asked a simple question it didn't understand and it ran home to Momma with its dummy flailing behind it! Absolute waste of time.

User's recommendation: Insist on a voice communication with a CityFibre employee or use a different service provider THAT IS NOT PARTNERED WITH THEM!

Find alternative ISP with higher moral standards

AI Highlights
  • Protecting children from online content matters.
  • Cityfibre Entanet head posted inappropriate material on a forum, linking to the company.

How can we expect to protect our children from online *** when even the people working in the industry are posting *** on websites easily accessible by children?

Cityfibre Entanet head of marketing, recently used a KTM motorcycle online forum, not to discuss motorcycles, but to share his large collection of degrading *** and discuss his sexual preferences. Surprisingly he used the same forum to boast about his job title, even providing a link to the Cityfibre Entanet website.

Unbelievably, Cityfibre Entanet seem happy to turn a blind eye to his behaviour as he maintains his position in the company. In my opinion, these people are only interested in making money and have poor business morals. This is the behaviour of a company that's been awarded government contracts to lay parts of the UK's fibre optic network, therefore partly financed by UK taxpayers.

Surely these people should be setting an example and not allowing this kind of behaviour.
