Cancellation
I am currently having problems with your customer service department via email. I booked a trip with you in Reykyavik, but our travel plans have changed.
I only booked this trip because on your website next to the booking it says 'free cancellation'. So to me it means I can cancel. Your customer dept keep quoting 24 cancellation to me. Now they are either stupid or incompetent, maybe both.
The trip booked is on 18th August 2023. I tried to cancel on 18th March, merely 5 days after booking.
Unless I am miscalculating, that is far more than the 24 hour cancellation policy isn't it? So I am far in advance of this. By nearly 5 months.
So why are they quoting the 24 hours all the time to me. I am not within 24 hours of the trip!
I will be discussing this with the legal dept of my travel insurance on Monday.
I have also made a complaint to the ASA about your misleading 'free cancellation' on the booking. We were going to book you for our rearranged trip, but there is no way we are going to book you until we have our refund which we are entitled to.
