Lead Safe Roanoke is a HORRIBLE program!! I have NOTHING good to say about our experience!

It’s a program designed to remodel homes in Roanoke that were built before 1975 & have children under age 5 in them.

They are NOT professionals.

Just a bunch of random dudes showing up in personal vehicles. No company trucks, nothing professional about them at all.

They bent our gutter, I watched them bend it back by hand & put a 2x4 in the gutter!! Are you kidding me?!

Every day there is 3-8 guys smoking all day, NOT taking smoke breaks, they smoke all the time and throwing butts IN OUR YARD!!! We do not smoke & now our yard has butts & in our home smells like smoke

I addressed these concerns with the lady who runs this program but at the end of the day she does not care & can’t control these men.

She literally told me “construction isn’t pretty”. Is she stupid or ignorant ?! She’s both! It’s not about being pretty, it’s about being respectful of people’s homes & property!

Its about being professional. It’s common sense! Don’t they teach you not to lean a ladder on a gutter in builder man school? Like wtf?!

Construction 101, don’t break stuff you are not there to fix!

Makes me sick to my stomach. This is someone’s home, not just a job site, like wtf?! I hate this whole process!

I definitely regret doing this. I absolutely wish I would’ve known everything we had to do before.

I would not have done all of this for the little bit of work that we are getting. It’s absolutely NOT worth all the trouble that we had to move stuff inside and to only be getting the outside painted is absolutely NOT worth it. I wish I would’ve just left well enough alone. I 1000% regret ever dealing with this whole stupid Lead Safe program!!!

They offer safety items as well but I don’t even want the safety stuff at this point just forget the smoke detectors & fire extinguishers.

Outlets in the home. I don’t want the handrails.

I just want them out ASAP!! And for no one I know to have to go through this bull.

So if you hear about this program, consider yourself warned, it’s bait & switch, they promise a lot & deliver nothing but headaches!
