I shoulda stayed with Wells Fargo...

I opened a checking account at Citizens Bank back in June. I had my direct deposit set up, and everything went well.

I want to buy real estate and need a mortgage, so my name is out there. I had a phone call on Sept. 19 - a very well-spoken gentleman who was very convincing, especially to me, who has a healthy skepticism. He had all of my information, and I was relieved that things were happening.

Well, of course, I was scammed. I didn't lose a dime, but at the end of the conversation, he asked me to do what scammers want their victims to do. I phoned Citizens immediately and spoke to their fraud department, who said they would have to investigate what had happened.

Furthermore, I had no access to my account for over a week, so guess what? These wretched people closed my account.

They implied that I was complicit when I was the victim. I am spitting nails and immediately opened a checking account for my direct deposit.

Jaw-dropping, unfair, and blood-boiling — they are a fifth-rate institution whose employees are a bunch of cold-fish company men. I hope they go under and urge everyone to avoid these automatons!
