CITIBANK ATM THEFT

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
To whom it may concern, My husband went to make a $1,570.00 in his CITI BANK checking account at 8:00 AM on 3/23/18 through the ATM before heading to work. The ATM spit out a receipt saying "I'm sorry. Because of technical problems, I can't return your cash right now. This piece of paper doesn’t specify the amount that was just deposited at the time. When he checked his account the account stated $0 dollars. He waited 2 more hours till the branch open to speak to the branch manager. During this time he had to miss work. When 10AM came around and the branch manager REINA HERNANDEZ arrived she simply told him that the branch has nothing to do with the ATM and that this happens often. Completely wipe her hands and wanted nothing to do with it. She didn’t lift a finger to try and help. She went inside the bank and went on about her business; she didn’t even provide my husband with the customer service number. My husband called the number on the back of the debit card where he was told he was going to have to wait 10 days and they couldn’t do anything about it. I consider this THEFT from CITI BANK. NO ONE WANTS TO TAKE RESPOSIBILTY AND DO ANYTHING ABOUT RESOLVING THE PROBLEM. My husband told the branch (#518) "MANAGER" he was going to call the cops and she simply answered "okay called me when they get here" as my husband waited outside the branch. The police made a police report and recommended to my husband to file a CIVIL LAWSUIT against CITI BANK which we have already contacted our lawyer for this matter. Our bills are complety on hold due to this and we are being charged late fees. We have contacted every number we could find and search on the internet and everyone has given us the run around and told us that we have to wait 10 days and that a investigation has been open. As I did some research I read that a lot of other CITI BANK customer have has the same problem several times and no one has resolved their issue either. This is THE MOST UNPROFESSIVAL BANK AND INCOCIDERATED PEOPLE TO EVER TRUST WITH YOU HARD EARNED MONEY. As per the branch (#518) "MANAGER" REINA HERNANDEZ once I came to the branch to get an explanation why couldn’t she just open the ATM and withdraw our money that was in LIMBO and we need ASAP to cover out due bills, she was the most UNPROFESSINAL BRANCH "MANAGER" we have ever dealt with. She refuse to help us with anything and actually threaten us with having to close our account. She just repeated that this happens all the time and she can’t do anything about it. She mention that they have a company called BRINKS that comes once a month and she knows nothing else that she can do for us as she walked away smiling and got back to her personal call in her office. She said to me that she would have the cops drag me out of the branch (#518) if she had to. The NASTIEST person I have ever come across in my life. I thought MANAGERs are there to help the customer and see if they can reach a solution to the problem at hand. This woman didn’t lift a pen to help instead made threats, claimed this happens all the time at this branch (#518) and she smiled to me and my family as she walked away. My husband spent an entire day trying to resolve this horrible matter with ZERO RESOLUTION. He had to miss work which means MORE MONEY LOSS DUE TO THIS HORRIBLE MATTER.Today is 3/26/18 MONDAY and we still have not gotten our money back. Again this is THEFT from CITI BANK. We have called Customer service and we have been hung up on and given the run around over and over. We have yet to cover our pass due bills no one is willing to help. I have some family members that have CITI BANK and THEFT will be closing their accounts due to this DISSASTER and DEFT.As I mention we have contacted our lawyer and will take this to court since we feel some one is go to answer for this MESS and THEFT.

Way to treat a widow

After my husbands death in December of 2016, of course I was devastated. Not realizing it I used his Citi Bank card for our business expenses. When Citi realized that it was his card they simply stopped the account, I was on that account also. I had paid the account in full and on time - always. To make a very long story short, I was put through HE--. After trying to get the last statement and getting a new card, I was informed that all my rewards points of $3,377.20 were not going to come to me. It was an experience I will not soon forget. Be careful when using Citibank and shopping at Costco. Use your points every month toward your bill - you might never see them!

PIN number yet to be received for my Costco Visa Card

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I started a week ago to try to get a PIN number for my Costco Visa credit card for use overseas. The upshot is that that is not enough advance planning to get it. I have had the Costco card for several years and never needed a PIN in the past, but travel writers strongly suggest you get one for use of the card overseas. Unfortunately, I have to leave tomorrow.

It has been a week since I asked for this card that needs to be used on my international trip. I was given assurance by a Citi customer service representative when I first contacted them a week ago that I would receive it by now, but it has yet to arrive. Citi only sends a PIN number for this card via *snail mail*. How ridiculous!

Other major banks such as USAA allow one to obtain a PIN on-line and others over the phone. Why can't Citi get with times and provide adequate customer service for a customer in need of an active PIN? This is quite a an unfortunate problem that should be rectified sooner rather than later.

Now I can't use the card for chip and PIN transactions overseas. In summary, I would give Citi no stars for poor customer service.

I have the same problem as this gentleman. I called the phone number on the reverse side of my CITI Costco visa card to get a 4 digit pin number that I need in order to use it in an ATM machine in Greece.

I am leaving in 5 days from my home in Ohio & I doubt that I will receive it in the mail on time.

This has caused me undue stress & I had to scramble to figure out another way to get Euros overseas. I won't be using my CITI card then for restaurants or anything else as I will leave it at home.

Sold my home loan to Mr. Cooper!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We paid our loan on time plus extra principal payments for many years! CitiBank sold us to now Mr. Copper, the worst bank we have ever dealt with in 20 years! We have never had a late payment and this bank continues to frustrate us with every encounter we have. CitiBank you need to look at reviews before you sell good dependable customers. We miss you!

Credit Card PIN

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I called Citibank on May 19 to request the PIN (which I had long forgotten because I have had no reason to need it til now) for my Diamond Preferred credit card. The automated menu option to request it said to allow 7 to 10 days to receive it. When I had not received it as of June 1, I called again, this time to talk to a customer service rep. He suggested that I visit my local US Postal Service branch to see if they were holding a letter from Citibank for me. I told him what was MOST likely is that the mailman misdelivered it (I live in a 400 Unit apartment building). But what really irks me is that I had to go through 27 menu options (that's right -27!) to get to the one that allowed me to connect to a "live" person. Why can't Citibank offer that option near the very top of the menu?

Wirecard is a rip off

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Citi Bank uses Wirecard in Germany to issued refunds from companies, however, website gives you no way to contact them with issues. I received a card with instructions to activate and register card so that I can have the money transferred to my bank account.

When I try to register on line it states that it is not valid, called and activated card went back on line and still can not register and it asks for user name and password which you do not get till you register on line but it states it is not valid information?

Called and the rep kept telling me I had to go to website, kept advising rep that that was not working after explaining the situation four times, and rep kept repeating to go to website and that she would email me a link and that is all she could do. Still not email and Better Business can not help because company is out of country, after reviewing numerous complaints against wirecard with customers with same problem I am out the money that T-Mobile owes and when I contact T-Mobile they tell me to call Citi Bank

Subpar Cuatomer Service

I opened a new checking account online and I never received my check card. I called customer service and they would not reissue a new one until it was past 7th day.

I called them after the 7th day and then they said I had to go in to a branch. The branch said it had to be online. The lady at the branch was not very helpful. I asked her to call and verify and she sat me at another table and had me call.

If I had a large sum if money in the account I highly doubt she would have done that. I found this to be disrespectful and discriminative. They always have a long wait time there qhen I have gone for other matters.

I rather not continue with them and I will take my business elsewhere.

CITYROBOTS

I emailed them THREE times and each time i called them they said the did not receive the emails. i was transferred over and over again to more robots. Thank you for this way of releasing my frustration and thank you to all these great people for their comments. I stand with you. I will NEVER be doing business again with this bank- if thats what you can call them. I have lost count on how many times i called them and how many times they told me "we will call you back" Don't believe a word! I have no tolerance nor respect for this type of institution. They should not be allowed to be trading. Goodluck to everyone who uses them.

Watch out for Citibank

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently moved from California to Idaho. Before moving, I checked on the internet to make sure there were Citibank branches where I was moving. There was a very long list of branch locations -- turned out they were ALL ATMs. NO BRANCH OFFICE! I can't do business banking through an ATM! Now, 5 phone calls later and an unbelievable waste of time -- 2 or 3 hours at least -- I have had nothing but problems. The bank promised to close my savings account and move it into my business account. The agent left 2¢ in the savings account, and now they want me to spend 47¢ to get a 2¢ refund and close the account. 45 minutes later, I was informed I can't do it by phone, there is no email address or fax number. Has to be a letter. AS IF! No way I am doing that. Same problem with my business account. More waiting to get connected to a "business consultant." I was told I would have to call back after transferring my funds. More waiting. So, I will be sending a letter regarding that account. Of course, you can't send one letter re both accounts! Different addresses, more postage. Oh, yes, their customer service departments are overseas -- Indonesia or India, judging by the accents. Since I have a hearing problem, this was a HUGE problem. If I asked once, I asked a half a dozen times for the agents to slow down and articulate clearly. In my opinion, Citibank specializes in "customer NO SERVICE." It's all about the bank and their convenience. DISGUSTING!!!!

Sign of a bank in trouble?

Citibank has decided to close my credit card accounts. One being a regular Diamond Preferred card, with a $30K limit, and the other being a Home Depot card with a $10K limit.

While I do have balances on them, I have been abiding by the terms in the cardmember agreement, and meeting all payment requirements per THEIR own terms. In fact, I have them set up on automatic payments to pay on time and to at least meet the minimum due. On the HD card, I even pay, say the $80 minimum, but when I have projects come due taking advantage of interest-free offers, I pay as much as $2k to $3k when those come due as well. Never a missed payment.

My balances have been up and down for years, but what I really think is that Citi is in financial trouble. Maybe they've been taking it on the chin way too many times. Why else would they do that? I have had my Preferred Diamond account since 1991, and they recently increased my HD line by $3K a couple months ago.

Time to sell any Citibank stock perhaps before it tanks? It really bothers me not. Lowe's has the same products and many better, and actually a better selection. I am more than happy to become a loyal Lowe's customer.

Sorry Home Depot. So sorry Home Depot for Citi screwing you out of a good and loyal customer for MANY, MANY years. And as far as the regular credit card goes, Chase was all too happy to increase my limits on the two cards of theirs I have. I actually find the closures a bit refreshing...but one thing is for sure...I will NEVER choose to use a Citibank product EVER again.

mark my word. They crossed the line by not even calling me. Who needs a disloyal fly-by-night service like that anyway...

Pffft. Go figure!
