Complaint about Service Contractor from American Home Shield
- - AHS sent a Choose the Right Door contractor to service my garage door.

American Home Shield sent a contractor from Choose the Right Door to my home to service my garage door opener. The contractor told us one thing and sent the report to AHS with something different, they denied my claim. I would not use Choose the Right Door again because of their lying service contractors.
Preferred solution: Service contractor to stop lying to customer and to secure their job with American Home Shield who don't care for their customers.

It is hard to give Choose the Right Door even one star, because if there was a "no star" rating that's what I would give them. They were dispatched through American Home Shield (AHS) and have been impossible to work with.
The technicians hear what they want to and give advice that's not covered in the contract. When you try to call the them they don't respond. I left ~5 voicemails with no response. I even spoke to the owner, Jim, who also hears what he wants to and doesn't communicate the correct info to AHS.
Now AHS has had to dispatch a second contractor to come out do the job correctly. Incompetent!

My insurance company sent them to my new house when the garage door malfunctioned intermittently. They arrived on time, repaired the door, answered my questions, and handled all of my concerns.
The technician went above and beyond to help me out. The service was excellent for the money.

I had my garage door repaired by Choose the right door on 10/28/14 and on 11/22/14 it wasn't working. I had to get an emergency repair and couldn't get them, so I got the door fixed.
I wrote the owner of the company, Jim Floor and told him I wanted my money back because his companies repair didn't even last 30 days. He does advertise on Angie's List, 1 year on parts and labor. This is ***, because he won't even answer.
This is my first attempt to let the general public know what type of company this is. I'm in Indiana, but he has also set up a business in Spring, Tx 77389

Couldn't agree more! American Home Shield sent a tech from Choose the Right Door to my house to adjust the tension on the garage door opener since it was operating slowly and the tech took the Liftmaster apart and could not get it back together and operating so now the garage opener does not even function!
It's a wooden garage door and I can't lift it myself to get the car out and the tech took off in his truck.
Company secretary (Jen) and owner (Jim) won't answer my calls. DON'T LET THESE SCAM ARTISTS INTO YOUR HOUSE!!
