BUYER BEWARE!! Read the reviews, especially the multiple 1 star reviews here and on Yelp.

We placed a $1,000.00 refundable deposit on a pre-order for a new RV. In the interim my cancer treatment started and we had to cancel the order. My salesman Brandon Jones informed that the refund process would be started right away. That was in November.

This was my response today:

Good morning, Since no one has the common courtesy to respond to our numerous requests for refunds we have decided to be more proactive in making sure that no one else suffers a loss at the hands of chesaco rv.

To that end we have purchased tickets to both rv shows in Timonium this month and will spend our time informing as many people as possible about your unscrupulous and horrendous contact regarding my cancer diagnosis, refund request and your promise to get the $1,000.00 deposit refunded, $500.00 to my credit card and $500.00 to my wife's credit card. My medical bills precluded me from moving forward with the purchase and Brandon advised in writing that the refund process would be started right away.

That was last November. We are now in February and it is time for me to inform as many people as possible at the show of the deplorable type of company they will be dealing with.

The fact I have to give them 1 star sucks as they deserve ZERO STARS

So not really sure where to start but here goes. I went in to talk about getting my RV serviced for warranty issues. Long story short the girl in the service department basically had no idea what she was doing, looked at me like a deer in the headlights, and told me to look elsewhere because they only have one Tech working there and they can't do the work we were asking for them to do which is fix the awning from separating from the camper and repair the floor which is falling in. Keep in mind this camper is only 4 years old with a 7 year extended warranty. We purchased this camper from them and they don't even want to stand behind their product. Went to the salesman and he basically said he has no idea what they can do and that they only have 1 Tech. He also stated that the president of the company was coming up to the store and will have him contact me. Nothing yet, Imagine that. They have a sign up that the charge for service is $169.95 per hour for service. Man at that rate pay me $60.00 per hour and I will become a service tech there.

Deposit given 2/24/2021. Loan was denied March 1, 2021. Was told by finance manager refund would be in account in 3 days. Made a trip there when it wasnt, was told it went to corporate. Its been 10 days and refund still not issued. Filed a complaint with BBB and state attorney general.

Horrible Sevice

Bought a new fifth wheel from them on 11/28/20, brought it back 6 weeks ago for 2 warranty issues and haven't seen the trailer since. They called me today and informed me they should get it into the shop next week. Told me over the last 6 weeks that they had a mechanic quit, and they were shorthanded and doing RV shows. In what world is this ok. I have also been in touch with Jayco the manufacturer of the trailer and according to their info is that Chesaco is lying and telling them that the trailer was in the shop and getting repaired.

Called General Manager only to get laughed at and hung up on.He said that his corporate said I signed a paper that said they owed me nothing. Well if that is the case why did they send me the $799.49 for the bunk?

I'm telling you, this company is about as shady as they come. Before your purchase call them, act like a past customer and tell them you have a problem that can not be settled at store level and you need the corporate phone number.

Good Luck on that, you will never get it and if they do give you a number you will just be passed to another store. Please do not put yourself in my position, Too many good dealers out there.

I purchased a $130K Tiffin Motor Home from Chesaco RV in Fredrick. Unit came in without the bunk that i paid $870.00 for. I decided that I did not need it. General Manager Josh Woods (That has been fired since) told me that i would be reimbursed my money. I received a check for $799.00. No tax included. There is no way of talking to their corporate office. This is the biggest fly by night company I have ever dealt with. I'm friends with Bob Tiffin and I'm not done yet. DO NOT DEAL WITH CHESACO RV. IF YOU DO, YOUR LOOKING FOR YOUR WORST EXPERIENCE YOU COULD HAVE.

Terrible experience

Purchased a used toy hauler with this dealership, first camping trip less than a month later the exterior siding began coming apart due to water damage behind walls, underneath the slide out the floor is rotten an ate out called company back in Pa. did not offer any assistance other than I could trade it back in and lose a shot ton of money. Ill start from the beginning. This is my parents TT they bought 5 years ago but i was involved in everything from the start so it is not second hand info or hear say. They went to the RV show at the fairgrounds and put a deposit on a TT from another dealer that stated 8 weeks for manufacturing and delivery, so the got the colors and options they wanted. 10 weeks later no TT. Told 3 more weeks. Deposit refunded after arguing. (They called 3 weeks after they had their new one to tell them it came in and see if they still wanted it) Now to Chesaco. ***Buying the RV.*** They walked around and found a 36' Jayco with triple slide my mom loved. There were several with leather, jackknife couch in back to 4 bunks, etc to choose from. They ended up choosing the clothe with 4 bunks in back. They picked and gave the deposit. Unit missing the manuals and sink cutting board cover. They took out of another unit. Parents also opted to have toppers put on all the slide outs. They had to order and would be done in a week. Week and a half goes by and done. (Wont argue about 2 days. It was an estimate.) Dealer called and said it was ready. We all show up. Dad is BSing with the sales guy laughing and all that. Mom is looking around. Finally my mom gets his attention and tells my Dad and salemane "This isnt the same trailer." It was all leather not clothe. THEY SOLD THE OTHER UNIT!! And installed the toppers on the wrong one. Now they changed the entire couch and dinette cushions from another unit and then had to take manuals and cutting board from another. Lol. They made it right but the idiocracy of selling a camper and installing parts on the wrong one. ***Repair work.*** One repair was made under warranty. The tub cracked. Tye manufacturer put a screw in a panel on the other side of the wall and hit the tub. We knew it was the screw because you could push on the screw and the split would open. My dad set up the appointment and told to drop it off and they would get to it in about 3-4 weeks. NO GO! He said to call him the day before it was going in and he would bring it up then. They hesitated but then agreed. They pulled everything apart took pictures then had to "wait" for approval from jayco before fixing. WHAT?!?! That took a couple days then they ordered the tub, replaced it, and he got it back. Summary. 1. Idiocracy how you can sell an RV someone signed they were buying and put a deposit on. 2. Service that far out is wrong. Waiting for approval is wrong, especially if definetely manufacturing defect, and have pictures. They should have documented, ordered the tub, installed, and submitted after and argued with Jayco if the denied. 3. Overall not bad. I have priced parts there and they are very high on accessories, hitches, etc since I pull the camper also for my family.

My brother in law had a break down right in front of their property on Sunday June 30th, obviously no one was there, so he took the opportunity to park the rv on their parking lot, and called and left a message about the rv. Aside from the repair that needed to be made, he was ready to spend alot of other money fixing and upgrading some other small issues as well.

Well, to his surprise, Chesaco called the police on him instead wanting to have him charged with trespassing and breaking/entering.

This is just not the type of people ANYONE should do business with. How stupid are they to take an opportunity to make money and turn it into a fiasco with horrible business practices and *** treatment of a possible dedicated customer.

SERVICE CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!

Worst RV Dealer/Service I have ever come across

Where do I begin?? Bought a Jayco new unit in March of 2019. On the way home from purchasing the unit the window trim blew off down the highway. Once home we noticed the leveling system wasn't working, the steering wheel was out of whack, and the electronic shade in front wasn't working. Took unit back to Chesco (after numerous calls and multiple complaints) which they kept for over a month. Finally got the unit back in late-April stating they fixed everything on the list we had. On our first campout in our NEW unit, the pipe that goes into the hot water heater was broken (due to Chesco not winterizing/de-winterizing properly), half of the camper's electric was out (due to a bad circuit board), only had power on half of unit. Been trying to get it back to them to get fixed, but not having any luck. I would NEVER recommend Chesco in Gambrills, MD to my worst enemy. Their customer service and their service department are incompetent. Once you purchase the unit, you are forgotten and so are your camper issues. They got their money and that's all they care about.

Beware of purchasing any product or having repairs done by Chesaco RV- Frederick. Put the new 2019 motorhome in to replace slide motors that broke the same day we brought it home. One month later NO work had been done. Will take it elsewhere in the future.

5 yr old would have done a better job!

Rear awning on our xlr nitro toyhauler had to be replaced due to an easy up tearing awning. Chesaco in Shoemakersville, Pa used 2 cheesy screws, randomly placed kinda in the middle to "secure" awning. It fell off into us last night at the campground! Not happy campers!!!

We purchased our first (and brand new) Cherokee Grey Wolf travel trailer from them almost five (5) years ago, and it has not had ANY of the origional warranty issues addressed during the delivery walk-through, and when it was left for repairs that included a damaged skylight, it was left uncovered for weeks!!!! After approx. six (6) months we received notification that ALL of the repairs were complete, and ready for pick-up. When the unit was brought from storage, besides lacking even a courtesy wash, we opened the trailer only to see that there was major water damage from Chesaco RV leaving the unit exposed to the late fall weather, and besides all of the mold spores that had began to form, the pooled water had caused the bottom of several cabinets and molding to swell and there also was considerable damage to our personal property. Their current warranty rep (no longer employed with Chesaco RV as their Joppa location was in such chaos, all of the sales staff, service/customer service, etc. were fired and Chesaco RV had to bring someone from the West Coast to 'rebuild' the location's reputation and hire all new sales, service/customer service, etc., personnel) highly recommended that we not take delivery because the majority of the warranty repairs had not been completed. We have been disputing all of the numerous issues for the last couple of years. For a 2015 model travel trailer, we have only been able to use it for a total of 10 days!!!!! Pathetic, well beyond pathetic!!! Dead *** Angry

Just purchased my second to for Chesaco RV. As always it is a very good experience. Our sales consultant Brook is always good to deal with. She goes out of her way to help with anything we need. Noah also does a great job and has and DID HELP with everything. I would go there again. My loyalty is with brook. Outstanding person.
