Chefmaster USA
Chef Master USA SCAM
My husband and I found Chef Master at a bridal expo that I attended with my cousin's fiance. We signed up to win cookware, but as you know you sign up to win plenty of things at bridal conventions because...well weddings are expensive. Within a few days both of us received calls telling us we won 5 things through this company. One was coupons, the second a knife, can't remember the other two, and lastly was a vacation to one of five locations. Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and there was one more to choose from.
We had to go to a *** hotel conference room and watch a demonstration and we could get the vacation. Come on, what honeymooners don't want a honeymoon just for watching a demonstration. What can I say were young, just starting out, and we need money. We had said we were not going to buy anything and the packages were outrageously priced. But the pans were nice and very impressing. I cook for a living and even I was impressed.
We did buy a small package totaling right under 3,000. Monthly bill around 50 for the first year and then going to about 150 a month. Expensive yes, but lifetime warranty so we will never have to buy another pan. And no aluminum (which promotes Alzheimers), so much healthier in the long run.
Plus they had a wedding registry which operates through paypal. People who want to give you a gift purchase a gift card online and it is mailed to you. You use it toward your monthly payments… so we thought they would be paid off in no time.
We received our pans in about three weeks. One came in with a broken handle. Supposedly we can mail it back and they will mail us a new one, but we haven’t had time yet. Plus why should we pay for something the y mailed to us without insurance for coverage incase of breakage.
Next were our payments they were supposed to charge our account, but never did and three months later equitable loans that works with the company is calling my job saying that we hadn't made any payments. We have Navy Federal Credit Union and they do not lie to us. If you pay on line to the loan company they charge you. If you call and pay by card over phone...they charge you....if you pay by check in mail...they charge you. I have to literally call equitable loans and set it up a month in advance every month. Why can't they just take it out? The company just wasn't taking the money out.
We just got married in November. My best friend's father bought a gift card online through their "wedding registry" December 2nd and we have yet to receive it. It went through paypal and he has a receipt. Why? Our loan and financing for Chef Master USA is through equitable loans. He has called Chef Master twice and they have now disconnected these phone numbers.
The BBB rating is an F. I had not looked this up before hand, but I had googled the company and found plenty of evidence it is a scam. I also found a few good reviews, which I now believe the company write themselves.
This is a long review, but I want to share what we have been through. This company is a complete joke. Do not fall for this scam. Save yourself a lot of time, money, and stress and buy a beautiful set of Wolfgang Puck pans. $500 or $600 is a lot, but a lot cheaper then the $3000 we are paying for. And at Christmas time you can usually get them for $200. If you are about to go watch the demonstration it is not worth your time. You are looking up reviews because you know it’s a scam. If it sounds too good to be true IT IS. If one thing good can come out of this horrible experience for us it is that you reading this do not go through this. We regret it constantly. However now we’ve learned to be more cautious with these types of companies.
And no we haven’t been on the trip no one has because we’ve been scammed and we know if we go it’s going to cost us and we will be in more debt.
Chef Master USA PREYS on couples gettings married.
And it disgusts me that equitable loans and paypal work with such a *** company. They've lost my respect.
Chefmaster usa scam
Chefmaster usa is an absolute scam. They are selling *** over priced cookware and giving vacations that you can't take.
Don't fall for this high powered worthless scam. We did not register with them at any bridal show or online site. They sent us to their facebook page and had videos of couples claiming they are not a scam. We should have known any company having to make claims they are not are a scam are fishy at best.
They claim cooking in store bought cookware will make you sick and want to sock it to you with a $3500 set of cookware, and that was their small set!
Consumers beware,,,They prey on newly engaged couples and think all are ***. Scam Scam Scam....

Wow just wish I would have looked into this sooner I went to the presentation did everything ordered a package (the second largest) put a deposit down and have made months worth of payments to not even receive my order. *** chef master I'm am going to make sure you can not access my account anymore!
Nice try *** This is a competitor. How much is your cheap *** cookware that you import from China!
I am currently experiencing nearly the exact same situation as "beyond annoyed" described below. Suckered by the cooking show, my fiance and I decided to purchase the smallest set of cookware (still over $1,500). Feeling uneasy about it the next day, especially after realizing what a toll it would take on our monthly budget, we decided to call and cancel. We knew we had a 3-day flex period in which we could do so. The first day we tried to cancel, the sales rep "didn't know" how to do so and said she'd call me back. Instead, the chef from the cooking show (who I'm assuming earns commission) called me personally to try to talk me out of canceling. I called Chef Master back later that day and told them not to have him call me again. It wasn't until the beginning of the third day (our last day to cancel) that someone finally "realized" how to cancel. We had to have a portion of our contract signed and post marked by THAT DAY. We barely got it sent off in time.
HOWEVER, one week later, all of the cookware arrived anyways! We denied the package and had it sent back and received confirmation that they did receive it.
HOWEVER, we are STILL (two months later) receiving calls and bills (including 'late fees') from the finance company who says they weren't told by Chef Master that we had cancelled.
We called Chef Master, confirmed, again, that we had canceled, and told the finance company. Chef Master told us they would talk to them. It's been a month since then and we just got another call and bill. Words cannot describe how frustrated we are with their poor service.
DON'T EVEN BOTHER ATTENDING THE COOKING SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No matter how great they make the cookware seem, it is NOT WORTH IT. It is ridiculous and they are impossible to work with. For your sake... don't even go.
I did the same thing but didnt call bt sent it in, we have been dealing with this for months now and they are saying that they never got the letter i sent. wtf?
now we are getting harassed by the creditors and chef master never likes to answer the phone. So now we have to pay for this stuff even though we canceled.
Bull. Yeah don’t ever do anything with Chef Master its a scam!!!!

Maybe I can get a hold of chef master customer service here because with all my recent efforts I have come to the conclusion that no one in their office is competent enough to pick up a phone and talk to me. Me an my fiance went to their show after we were told we won a prize against everyone we know telling us its a scam. Well i shouldve listened to all of them. Again we were not smart because at 11pm after trying to get out of their "1 hour" cooking show we did buy something. I got home and immediately realized i had made a bad decision so I read the contract that told us we had three days from the show to cancel. The next day I tried calling and received no call back. on the second day I finally talked to Stephanie who seemed nice so I explained that we no longer wanted the merchandise and she told me ok well cancel your order. Two weeks later I received the pots and pans in the mail and finance contracts. So i called again and received no answer except for the voicemail. When we did get a hold of stephanie again we were told to send them back and disregard any finance paperwork. Now over a month later I receive a bill and am told it was never cancelled from the finance company. And trying to call again I still
get no answer...
Long story short... STAY AWAY from this company they are a complete SCAM!! They do not answer once they have your signature! Wish i wouldve listen to all the warning we got. :(
Chef Master USA IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!!! They have no customer service and their cookware is worthless! They tell you if anything happens to it they will replace it but that's kinda hard to do with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!
