My checks were supposedly delivered to a lock box in my neighborhood on Thursday 8/15/19. Checked the mail Friday afternoon 8/16/19 and there were no checks or a key for the lock box. Error on the post office of course. I called checks unlimited customer service number to see what the next step would be, do I need to call a certain number since two boxes of checks with my bank account are missing, does checks unlimited handle it, does the fraud department handle it? The woman who took my call was less than helpful. When I asked what I should do about the missing checks she told me she’s not allowed to advise me on what to do with my checks, she can only re order them. I asked so there is no protocol in place for checks that go missing in the mail? She never answered this question just kept repeating she can’t tell me what to do with my checks. Clearly. But there has to be some sort of steps to take in the event checks do not get delivered. A number to direct the customer to, anything. She was zero help and acted like I was the idiot calling them to ask for help. She even told me I needed to get the key for the lock box. Wow why hadn’t I thought of that! Oh because the mail man delivered the key to the wrong person so I am not able to get into the lock box that has the checks. Sure re order the checks...but what are we going to do about the missing ones. I am disappointed in this experience because I called looking for what would seem to be an obvious solution but was left being told they can’t do anything for me when the only thing I was asking was if they needed to know about this situation or if they had the information for me to take the next precautions.

Oder checks with coupon for 19.50,my checks was cashed then they call me to I owe them $100.00 -discount so now owe 68.00 so i ask them to Cancelled order the he told me couldn't I ask to speak with a manger No manger he was the manger Not happy ,I will file a complaint with mass.attorney General office

I ordered 2 boxes of checks. Got 1 box. Called several times about not receiving other. Got the run around, different stories. Last told it had been returned to them, would reship. Never received. Don’t know who has my checks. Terrible customer service.

I just received 200 checks that I ordered and now there are 50 in a pack which used to be 25.... way too thick.....cheap way to do things..trying to cut cost again....I cannot fit them into my checkbook!!!! Also I received on tiny little registery for these checks to be written in.... there used to be one for each box. cheap....the registery is so flimsy that if I write on it I think it will fall apart!!! I asked for another one and was told that this is all I get...BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE for one little registery.

Standard box of duplicate checks is 8 pads (200). This is what I expected from Checks Unlimited since I had used them many years ago without issue, however when my orders arrived they were only half the number of checks with half-sized boxes (that hold only 4 pads). I cannot find anywhere on their website any indication of the number of checks included in a box, only the number of boxes. I would have bought from Costco had I known what a rip-off this company became.

I ordered checks and it went through, but then day three days later they cancelled my order without a notification. When I called to see what was going on the woman was awful. Rude. Not helpful. I had to redo everything and I ended up doing it online so I didn't have to waste my time with a human who was just not meant to costumer service. Their prices are also extremely high, and sometimes you can find a coupon, but make sure they'll let you use it. They sometimes will let you and then cancel your order after the fact if you cannot use it.

I ordered checks and sent in what I thought was full payment. Then I received a delinquency report demanding $42.00 more! Bottom line, it was a bait and switch outfit. Beware. They are dishonest.

The company sent me a special promotion, which prompted me to place an order. "After" processing my order, Checks Unlimited bombarded me with emails claiming the offer was for new customers only; i.e., trying to get considerably more $$ from me.

I knew I had never before placed an order with a company by this name ... and, it was the company that initiated contact with me through a mailed flyer. However, after finally identifying the overseeing Better Business Bureau (BBB), I wrote to file a complaint, only to receive a stark reply noting the company is registered under many names, so I had no grounds for complaint. I elevated this to the head of that BBB ...

only to have her response to me be beyond rude. It seems Checks Unlimited is in bed with them, because her reply indicated it's perfectly fine to pull the wool over customers heads by luring them with a great Offer using a different company name, and then badgering them after filling the order from the Offer, in an attempt to get more money. I gave up on BBB, but the company of many names finally left me alone after I cc'd them on a complaint filed at the national level. I am now afraid to place any mail or online order for checks; i.e., for fear it may be Checks Unlimited by another name.

:-( Certainly, I am not surprised to see all of its LOW ratings.

I just regret not having researched the company before allowing myself to be gamed into placing an order. Hopefully the person reading this is doing the prerequisite research.

Sale is not a sale

I got a promotion for 37.00 for 4 boxes of check books after the shipping and handling and the fraud protection it was 81.00.....that's not a sale...……………...

Same thing happened to me. I just to complain today and received backtalk and lip from customer service that there aren’t hidden fees. Never order from this company!

Thru a report to the BBB then a response from the company that they removed the debt.

I went to the BBB in their territory and entered a complaint and the company was pretty quick to respond by removing my account from collections and wiping the slate clean. I do think in the end they did the right thing. They do need to know their collections company in Ohio is very rude and not open to any discussion.

I ordered checks last Fall for 21.44. Never received the order and did not pay. Just received a collection notice from an Ohio agency. I requested proof of the order & shipping (tracking). Haven't received anything. Careful with this company....obviously not an ethical company and they have peoples secure data....scary.

I am a 71 yr. old woman who has ordered checks from you for years. When I need checks I use the reorder form enclosed with my checks or look at the ads that come in the mail. Usually paying around $40.00 for 4 boxes of duplicate cks. Because of some personal problems I missed mailing in the form and tried to order over the phone. First time I was told my $40.00 order was now $138something. When I called back it went down to $78somrthing, but if I didn't pay for tracking even if I did pay for rush printing it was going to take 4 to 6 weeks to receive the checks. I have previously never had any problems but am really upset with this company right now. Feel like I was being scammed and don't appreciate it so cancelled my order and will get my checks elsewhere even if I have to pay a little more for them. Which isn't always possible when on Social security. That is why I am so angry, this company used to be a good product for a price Dr iors could afford. Not anymore...

EZShield PRO unapproved charge applied to sale

190321: Spoke with CSR-P immediately after I saw the Confirmed Sale Receipt. CSR-P said he could not remove EZ charge (that will "protect me" from fraudulent activity!); so I canceled the complete order and requested cancellation confirmation number at 0940. CSR-P is not able to give me a cancellation confirmation number. CSR-P is more accommodating when I confirm that the call is being recorded for quality assurance. The confirmation email indicated CANCELED. Now receiving unsolicited calls from checksunlimited (Photo Checks). Disappointing that hidden consumer charges is considered an internet standard that will continue to erode trust in web business practitioners.

I tried to order a check register listed at $8.91 on Checks Unlimited's website. It wouldn't allow me to order online so I called. Between shipping and handling and all kinds of other charges, the bill came to over $23.00! And then they told me it would take 2 - 3 to receive my order. For such expensive handling, you'd think they would be able to get my order to me a lot faster. I've bought from the before, but never again.

Tons of hidden charges, no options to opt out, refunds will take a minimum of 2 weeks, customer service reps are rude. You pay for UPS tracking and dont get a tracking number.

It looks like they're in extreme financial trouble and trying to steal from the public. Why else would they hide the extra charges once they get your banking info?

Shipping through FedEx or UPS would be less than $10 so they're obviously trying to keep their heads above water. Is there any class action information about them?
