Verified ReviewerI'd give them -1 if I could
- CumberlandFarms Smart Pay pulled funds; my account was hacked and closed.
- Auto withdrawals to a new account failed and Checkredi is chasing $70.
They have stopped calling and bothering me and I haven't as yet contacted a lawyer or the attorney general's office. They didn't give me an option to pay the $35 but not the late fee, so I have done nothing at this time.
I was told auto withdrawals would be transferred to a new account. So I used my card for $35 of gas but unbeknownst to me it didn't transfer and it was after my account was closed. So now checkredi, their collection agency is hounding me for $70--the original charge and the $35 late fee. I offered to just pay the charge, which I thought had been paid, and they refused.
I will complain to pissed customer.com and my attorney general's office.
Don't use smart pay. Nothing smart about it.
- Unhelpful
- Unco-operative
- Hostile
Preferred solution: I'd like to pay the $35 without the additional $35 tagged on, since I wasn't even aware there was a problem. And I'd like CheckRedi to stop calling and harassing me.
User's recommendation: Don't use smartpay.
