Cheap Trips -

Received call from some gal Amber or some such name and wanted me to call back as they were taking over the account for Cheap Trips and I had paid $3000 for this and would lose out if I didn't use it . She gave me 800 number to call and I called the next day and she tried to convince me I had paid for this and why I wasn't going to use it. She then get some guy Paul Ruiz on the line and he got real pushy and I finally told him I wasn't interested and hung up on him. He calls back and my husband answered and he proceeds to tell my husband how rude I was to hang up on him. He was very upset that I wasn't going to purchase whatever in order to use the $3000 plan I had purchased (which I never did nor ever will) It considered it a real scam but started checking out cheap trips and found this website with loads of people who had the same problems. DO NOT FALL FOR THESE GUYS.

Sold a package then changed the package once received.

I was sold 4 RT airline tickets for $99.00 that I could use anywhere in the US and Mexico and only have to pay tax and fuel charge on these tickets. My credit card was charges $108 and change. I did not receive the packet in the mail as I was told so I contacted the customer service number, which, by the way is a joke, they treat you like the *** of the earth. I was told that the information was sent electronicaly. After explaining I had not received any such correspondance, they said, well I guess I can forward you another one. Once I received this information it was not what I purchased. It required 4 nites hotel stay. When I called the customer service to complain about this misrepresentation, and that I demanded a refund, I was treated like ***. The young "man" who I talked to tried to talk over me and insisted that I knew what the package was when purchased. He would not let me explain. I was then told to contact the manager, by gmail only, no phone number. I have been told 3 times the refund would be placed into my account, the lastes as 10-14 days, and that was November 21. Wheres my refund.

Cheaptrips is a ripoff

I was charged $99.00 plus 9.95 for 6 trips and the information never came via e-mail or US postal service. When I called a rude man answered the phone and acted like I was an *** for expecting the info in the time frame given and then informed me it was to come via e-mail. No such e-mail came. I was specifically told to expect in in 7 to 10 days. Nick ID # 2100 was the person who scammed me. I am reporting them to the BBB and requesting a refund any bets on ever seeing it?

CHEAPTRIPS.COM

I purchase a vacation package back in February. Once I received the info, it was everything but what I was sold. I was totally miss lead. I have been charged the money, I have made multiple phone calls, sent just as many emails and no response from either. I can't talk to anyone on the phone now, you call and the phone just hangs up on you. This is a very poor customer service. I have never experience this poor of customer service, there isn't any. I want a refund. Please act on this as soon as possible.

I received a call a few days ago from a Chavon Nettles from Coast to Coast who left message about me calling her about this. Number was 914-552-****.

She told me to call her back at 800-594-**** ext. 124. I then get a call today from a Paul Rashard (I think) who told he was account manager and they had taken over Cheaptrips. I did the Cheaptrips thing years ago and had tried to even get out of it and they never replied back to me.

He told me I had to pay $199 to get a one year vacation deal, even though he said I had already paid for the Cheaptrips membership. He kept saying he was doing me a favor. I told him I wasn't paying him any more money. He started getting mad at me.

I said he was wasting my time and that I wanted to talk to his supervisor.

He said he was the supervisor. What a bunch of scammers.

Guest

I have been fighting them for 2 years..... waiting on a refund.

I have gone to the Better Business and filed a claim.

They did there thing without any resolution. CHEAP TRIPS is just a cheap scam....

Guest

Hey. Now it is coast to coast.

Me too. I never ended up using cheaptrips nor referred too my account, but bought the membership years ago. This guy says there was the $3000 settlement with cheaptrips and Stewart Title is involved and that cheaptrips is no longer in business. I found nothing about online.

It has to be cheaptrips or someone who wprked for them who is selling our info. I told him to send me info since he already had my email but he refused so I hung up on him and he called back but I didn't answer.

Then I called Coast to coast and she refused to talk to me and said someone was using her name, but I think she might be part of it since she refused to speak with me about taking action.

I'mo glad I read all the comments about Grand Getaway taking over Cheaptrips. I had just joined 2 days ago.

After calling my bank, I called Grand Getaway and they said that they were going to return the $349.00 I sent them. I will never join another travel company again.

If they don't return my money my bank will deal with them. Thank you again!

Guest

I received a call today from "Paul Ruiz" of Grand Incentives with the whole story about servicing my CheapTrips.com "investment"...they said it was worth $3000. Right.

I can't even remember if I paid anything at all for Cheaptrips. When I informed him I would not be paying any more for something I supposedly already owned, he hung up. PHONE number: 941-552-****.

As a side note, I have received a number of travel scam calls since I booked a recent cruise out of Miami.

Not sure whether it's the parking company I booked with or what, but I feel like somebody is selling my information. All have my full name, address, and email.

Guest

:) This is too good to be true. I got the same phone call from a Tim ....

800-594-**** offering me a $3000 equity position in Grand Getaways, w two free trips , 2 $50 bonus cards all for $199 1 yr membership dues or double everything for $349. All of this because they are now taking over the servicing of Cheaptrips.com of which I am a member and they are trying to make the historical lack of service "right". I said I wanted to research and I did, but can't find any substance to this. Sent a message to Grand Getaways and have not gotten a response.

I was told that I would get an e-mail outlining the whole program - Nothing yet. My advice to anyone contemplating this is "caveat emptor!"

Guest

:sigh I never know what to believe with these companies...I always revert back to what my dad always told me..."If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is." I was contacted today about the Cheap Trips/ Coast to Coast deal and remain very hesitant. I don't understand how I could pay 349.00 for a lifetime membership and get in return a 500.00 AMEX gift card, 4 round trip tickets to anywhere in the world (except Asia) with no blackout dates, and 2 weeks per year at a premium hotel for 199.00/week.

It just doesn't make sense...I am opting to pass and cut my losses and have chosen to not participate. If anyone wants to call, I have a working number.

(800)594-**** Ext 191, Mark Biondi and Ext 192, John Charles. These may change after they get some calls here, so get on it right away.

Guest

I was contact today by Coast to Coast with the claim. They selected by Florida's Attorney General to make it right for Cheap trips customers. Clain connection with Sam's Club and Stewart(sp?) Title.

Guest

:cry Yes, the company has a large variety of addresses, such that it must be a huge network of scam artists. I also am out 3150 for three tickets. Even contacting officials doesn't seem to have any effect.

Guest

Just got off the phone with this Coast to Coast scam, they told me they werent selling me anything. they were servicing my acct with Cheaptrips.com,because Cheaptrips is not honoring there part of the deal.

Then after buttering me up with all they are going to do for me,she says all i need to do is purchase insurance to access all these benifits. I said no more money for something I already purchased. She got bent out of shape about the fact I was going to throw all my benifits away. I told her send me a refund for all the money I have paid in for this and we call it even. she said I would have to take it up with Cheaptrips, but they arent servicing accounts anymore.

I told her this conversation is over and she keep talking so I hung up!

Think I will contact a Lawyer and sue Cheaptrips and this coast to Coast company.

what do you all think? maybe a class action suit?

Class action

The IP address is 173.160.113.17 which was originated in Houston Tx 77002 Now if interested we can file a class action suit- for consumer fraud and theft. My name is K.Milligan email krmill2002@***.com. I just purchased 2 promotional pkgs today 09/29/2010.If it deems to be fraudulent; it will be my pleasure to orchestrate this suit. The federal gvmt has rules and regulations that protects the consumers. During these most volitile financial times; the one worry we should not incur, is theft. If the amount is great enough ( When combined) it will be become a felony. This as we all know carries a stiff penalty.

I joined lifetime membership in 2005, got a bunch of junk for that $99. Then I stupidly purchased 4 tickets which also included a free $100 walmart gift card and alot of other stuff for $108.

I was lied to by Carol in New Jersey.

I received vouchers for *** which I still had to pay for and no airline tickets.

I have kept my emails from these crooks. I told them they should be called Cheaptricks.

Now I am told they went bankrupt

Guest

I would like to join the class action suit against cheap trips

If a clas action is filled, count me in.

Guest

I was scammed last year for 2 round trip tickets to New Zealand. I paid twice, $2130.00 the first time and $2700.00 the second time.

I was told that the discounter in Texas went bankrupt. I did receive the tickets on 9/14/2010 but have a small claims form on my desk that I am filling out against this company. Naturally their phone no longer works.

Can someone contact me re:class action suit? My email is cjc3436@***.com

Cheaptrips International: I paid this company over $8,000.00 for plane tickets we did not receive

CheapTrips International is involved in illegal transactions and should be stopped immediately. I purchased plane tickets for a party of seven to go to Germany the cost was over $8,000.00. I contacted the supervisor in Los Angeles, CA (he was the one that sold the tickets to me) and ask him where our tickets were and after several calls he told me "the broker that makes the arrangements etc. did not make the reservations and they would be responsible for returning the money and he told me a good story about how it would handled and they were working on it and we would have the refund ASAP. I waited for several weeks, I talked to him a few times getting the same story, I did not go to Germany due to this problem, one family purchased new tickets and made the trip anyway. We paid for the tickets in April and the trip was to be in Dec. I feel very guilty for recommending and using this company but I had used them four times before and never had a problem so I never thought something like this would happen. They do not answer the phone nor return my calls or email messages. Thank you. MJ Carey

I paid 1900.00 to a Sam at cheap trips international, check made out to cheap trips international, for a flight to Brazil, when I got to the airport, they said no reservation was made. I faxed and still got no refund, I am going to talk to a lawyer...

Guest

One thing you all should do is contact the Los Angeles Police Dept, file a police report for fraud. Sam Talin, 310-990-**** (cell), 3522 Ashwood Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90066.

2 tickets were purchased for $2500 on on Air Tahiti Nui. Purchased tickets in January 2011, paid by check and trip in March 2011. Had to pay again at airport because no reservations showing only that tickets cancelled for non-payment by travel agent Sam Talin. OUr emailed received show as if we had an eticket but with no eticket number.

After filing police report, one of the police officers called Mr. Talin left a message, and within a few days I received an email from Sam Talin claiming that it was an "ticketing error" and asking for contact info to discuss. I emailed him proof of tickets purchased thru Air Tahit Nui and requested the higher rate that I paid thru Air Tahiti Nui. He inquired about the police report and I confirmed that it was made.

He wanted me to follow up with LAPD to let them know that we were working it out, and I indcated once I recieve my refund. Within 10 days I received a cashiers check for what I paid to the Air Tahiti Nui and immediately took it to Wells Fargo Bank to cash it.

Guest

Cheaptrips head of the Travel Dept Sam Talin sold me a USAirways round trip flight Paris to Denver for early January. I paid for the fight via Paypal, and was sent an itinirary.

On the day of departure when I showed up at the airport I was informed I was "not in the system". When I contacted USAirways they informed me the reservation had indeed been made but it had been cancelled two days after the reservation due to non-payment by the agent. I called up Cheaptrips later that same day (of departure) and Mr Sam Talin managed to get me on the same flight the next day but I had to call and pay USAirways directly. When I asked Mr Talin for a refund he said he would give it to me but I needed to send him a receipt from USAirways - which I provided immediately.

We played phone tag for over three weeks (customers can only leave messages - Cheaptrips does not allow for direct phone calls from consumer to agent) and after a while Mr Talin stopped calling back.

I contacted the Customer Resolution Office, and they told me the $945 refund was "in process"... but every time they told me it would "happen within three days" nothing happened.

Guest

They totally misrepresent themselves and their offers. I have been trying to get my $100 refunded since I got my packet and joined in 2006.

They still keep calling offering me deal, which require additional funds and I keep telling them all I want is my money refunded. When I tell them the whole thing is a scam, they hang up or tell me to call customer service, who never reply!

Cheap Trips is a scam and no money back!!

They are totally miss leading and impossible to get your money back! I was suppose to receive different certificates for travel and did not receive any for the price I paid. Rip off!! Stay clear and the phone numbers that are provided are not working ones. I have tried several times and it seems as though someone picks up and hangs it back up without any response. No representative to talk with from Cheap Trips that is a scam! How do they expect to schedule flights or your trips! Interested in knowing anyone who knows how to get in touch with the company besides sending them a letter!

I was contacted by a rep from Cheap Trips. They wanted me to give them my credit card right away to pay for a $100 upgrade which includes a $100 gas card and flight voucher, but I felt something was fishy.

I asked for the toll free no. to call and he (Justin) gave me

180*-***-****. I called the no. and the person who answered it

was not from cheap trips and asked for a membership id.

I told Justin I will call the Cheaptrip.com website to see if they were related and he almost paniced and hanged up the phone. Don't be fooled !

I just received a call from cheaptrips.com. They said I have been a member since 2005, and offered me 2 RT airline tickets for $99.

Good for one year, via any airline, anytime except peak holiday periods, and w/21-day advanced booking.

When I requested a call-back, I was given one, but was then offered the same deal for $60. Where can I find out more about this "deal" and company?

They lied to me about the 4 free airline tickets. I did not know that I would have to stay in a hotel to get them.

Cheaptrips lifetime membership club

I joined this club a while back and was ill so I could not go on my planned trip. I called to get my membership of $99.00 back. They said if I could go later this was a lifetime membership and even my family could use it. You could get cheaper flights and hotel rooms. They connected together. So I did leave the money. Now I'm seeing all this bad information and I could use it in the near future. I guess we are going to have to start not buying anything from online, over the phone, catalogs, and watch everything you sign at the stores. Trust is a big issue in this country at this time. It's a shame it's gotten to that.

Did not refund $ after pkg. was returned

After purchasing a package for my "review first", I decided I didn't want it as it was not as represented and I therefore returned it exactly to the address in Cherry Hill, NJ where indicated, getting a reference #, etc. When I called to question when my money would be credited, I was then told it would take 60-90 days. After that period of time & no money was refunded, I called & was told their offices moved & it probably was an oversight, that the money would be refunded in 10 days. Ten days came and went. A month later I called and asked to speak to a manager who was not in the office but was due in. I explained the problem and was told that the manager would call me ... he never did. I sent an e-mail to customer service the following day requesting an answer. I never got a response. I called yet the next day to speak to the manager. I was told that the manager had the request from two days previous and that he would return my call in the order of complaint and then my money would be returned within 7 to 14 days. I have yet to receive anything.

I feel it was a rip off because I couldn't even access anything to get the tickets to Honolulu, HI in 2009 which they kept the account opened for 3 years and sold to another timeshare company. They did not contact me to let me know if I can use it or not and did not give a refund. According the other company, I had $3,000 left on my account.

Guest

I have been trying to get my refund since March. The latest is that I've been told that for some unknown reason my refund didn't go through - twice!!

After the first failure to go through,I was told that my refund would be expedited and that I would receive it within 7-10 days. Well 10 days has now come and gone. Now I'm waiting for a call back from the supervisor.

Today I was told that if he hasn't called me back by tomorrow, I would get a call with an "appointment time" to call him back. What a scam!!!

Guest

Your scenario is EXACTLY identical to mine...same time frames and excuses given to me. I have been battling to receive my refund since November, 2009.

I am filing a compliant with the N.J.

Office of the Attorney General in Newark, N.J. I suggest you do the same and maybe this scam will be shut down.

4 Free Tickets!! 90 Days to Process!

I was lured into the membership thinking that I could use my 4 free airlines tickets to take my three kids to visit family in California for Christmas this year. I signed up for the membership on September 25 which was a Friday, membership went into affect the following Monday, the 28th. It took them over a month to get my membership package out to me because it was sent to an old address they had on file for me but that was corrected during my enrollment over the phone. I immediately sent in the registration form for the vouchers and was told that it could take up to 3-4 weeks for them to send the vouchers back out. I still had hope that I would get tickets to travel for Christmas. After 3 weeks of hearing nothing, I called and was told that they have no record of receiving my reg. form and to call back, oh, and by the way I was supposed to send in the form at least 90 days before my expected travel date! Where is that in the new member packet? Oh, it's in the terms and conditions! It would have been nice to know this when I signed up, or at least in the new member info in bold letters! I'm tempted to cancel my membership, but I will just try to schedule the trip during the kids winter or spring breaks. Not pleased at all.

Clearly you are someone who works for cheaptrips. Its a complete scam.

All you have to do is google them to find out. They have scammed a ton of people and belong behind bars.

Guest

:cry so basically your blaming them cause you didnt follow the number 1 rule of being a consumer and thats read the terms of service. your on here complaining cause

A: you didnt ask what the terms or exclusions and time frames they have.

B: you have enough time to post on here, but dont read a single sentence under "membership conditions"

sounds like you need to get your priorities straight. Not complain about a company cause your a ***. what you think you could just sign up get 4 free tickets the next day and cancel.. must be an american cause you already pointed out your dumb, cheap, and lazy. officially the dumbest complaint of the day. :cry

Cheaptrips charged credit cardbefore I received their package

Cheaptrips said that they would not charge my credit card until I received their package and signed up. I was charged 59.95 the next day. I called them up and they said to return the unopened package back and they would credit back my card. It has been 5 months now and they still say the same thing every month, that it will be on my next statement. I have turned them in to the Better Business Bureau. Everyone else that has been defrauded by them should do the same thing. I think this should be turned over to the District Attorneys office in NJ.

Cheap Trips took my money back in December and never refunded me, after I returned all of the information they sent me. It has been almost three months and they said that they have to still wait to see that I am not using the numbers and booking airline trips. I have tryed to speak to the supervisor three times, and put off once, then he was not there on presidents day, I had an appointment, then he hung up on me today. Now I have to write the head super a letter to see if I can get anywhere.

Kymaro Tips

I purchased the Kymaro body shaper and was very disappointed. I am a 25 year old and not extremely overweight. I wear about a size 10, but could use to tone up a bit. I watched the commercials over and over and even read these reviews but thought this product would be very different for me since I am not what most people consider "obese". The bottom line is you can buy a similar product at Target for a lot less and it will do the same thing. Really it gives you about the same effect as putting on tights. The bottoms are so tight that they cut off my circulation. I couldn't even really get the top on over my ***. I couldn't really tell much of a difference, but decided to try it out for a day. I work at a desk all day and they top continually rolls up. The bottoms are so uncomfortable that I can't breathe and it does get hot. My obvious recommendation is to not buy this, but if you do decide to purchase these (like me) I would definitely get a size bigger than on the chart that is shown. I'm sure this works for some people, but I did not have a good experience and all. The little bit of skinny that it does make you look wasn't worth the money, frustration or uncomfortableness. Good luck!
