Cheap-flight-deal fraud website on airfare
I order a flight ticket through this website via Western Union, payment slip MTC:658-575-****. The amount is lb 634.23 (RM 3104).
The website directed me to pay through Western Union because currently have some technical problems which take 10 days to rectify, credit card cannot be processed. The person contact through email for payment is as follow : Mr. Matthew Sullivan, receiver name : Damian Miroslav, country : UK Birmingham. This happened on 2nd/May/2013, an air ticket from Malaysia to Chicago.
eticket and reservation were provided but actual date of flying, America Airline said the air ticket was refunded to the agent. I have no eticket to fly.
Fraud of cheap-flight-deal.com
I bought 2 tickets and paid 1502$ via Western Union. I never got what I paid for.
On the forum of www.tripadvisor.com you can find another scammed customers of this website. There are some websires of this fraud - www.cheap-flight-deal.com, www.cheap-flights-deal.com, www.cheap-air-deal.com, so be careful with those guys!
They tell you that you can't pay with credit card or/and PayPal cause some technical problems that they have, and suggest you to pay via Western Union or bank transfer. If you fault scammed too, I suggest you to report to UK Police www.actionfraud.police.uk.
Ms D. Mendez
I order a flight through this site and sent a bank transfer because they don´t accept credit cards or paypal payments. This happened on April 8th, 2013 and I haven´t receive the service I payed for yet.
The site said his name was Cheap-Flight Deals based in London, UK in partnership with Agnese Tunise Travel Co.
based in Birmingham, UK.
The manager named Mattew Sullivan never answered the phone numbers neither in London nor Birmingham. They also did not answer personally by email, just kept sending authomatized email replays.
Looking at complains, it appears the same company logo with other name: Cheap tickets deals, saying that they use gosafely.com.
Another Cheap Flights Deal Fraud
Had to buy 3 airline tickets to Berlin, with little time. This website came up and offered the lowest prices.
I suspected at first, since they stated that they currently have some technical issues with taking Credit Cards, and recommended PayPal. Then PayPal was also not available, but somehow since their explanations did seem to make some sense, and especially since their website was indeed finding real flights and updating the still available spaces, I fell for it and decided to take the risk, and send the funds via Western Union (which my friend was familiar with and has used in the past). The website provided immediate email responses and correct instructions how to perform the transfer, and indeed got my defences down. Since you cannot use WU for paying a commercial business, they give you the name (in my case it was Arturas Alfiorovas) of the company's accountant - so they claim.
I should have been MORE suspicious, but the price seemed very good (not fantastic, but good enough to take the risk). The rest is history. Contacted Western Union, filed a complaint and intending to do the same with the UK police. The money (892 USD) was actually picked up, only this afternoon,at Birmingham, where there really is a guy called Arturas Alfiorovas.
Since he had to identify himself in person, for getting the money - is he a part of it?
Was he sent forward being promised, that he will get some 10 USD for his service? I expect the Birmingham police to pay him a visit.
Suspicious website behaviour
i was trying to buy a ticket online, I wanted to make the payment using my credit card, it did not work several times, just a useless pop-up window, and a booking confirmed by email right away in my inbox, I found the behavior of the website very suspicious, so I put some time into investigate it,I found(I've just read it a few minutes ago, I'm sorry for your money, but thanks for the advice), the information here, some were asked to transfer the money because the payment could not be done by credit card due to technical problems, the money was transferred, they never had the tickets and the money was lost. I really believe this is just scam.I've read a few more with the, more or less, the same story...
Cheap-Flights-Deal.com
My wife, Carole Lyn Brown sent these guys $1,232.86 by Western Union MTCN 008-060-**** on the 13th for airfare. The money was picked up on the 18th by Oskars Petersons. This was a far as could go since every time I called and spoke to someone who has no skills with the English Language. Every time I called I was told we would have our etickets in a couple of hours. We never got anything. I told them I wanted our money back and they told me to wait until the 1st for some reason. I called this morning and got the same person I always get. He gave me some excuse saying the billing needs to get involved. It would seem this could have been done by now. So he told be to call back in the morning and you would send us the money via Western Union. Tomorrow will be the last go around with this guy.
We did our part. We booked the flight when you were still called Cheaperetickets. We sent the money as required. You never sent us our tickets my email. We have now been trying to get our money back for more than a week. We booked real flights somewhere else so we do not need or want these now. We want to have our money back early on the 2nd
THANK YOU,
Chris
I just called again and got the same BS. Call back in 2 hours. Need to wait until tomorrow. I was not allowed to speak to someone else. This guy who answers you phones is incompetent. He will not let me speak to a manager.
He tells me now that I need to call back on the 5th. This is unacceptable
I NEED TO COMMUNICATE WITH A MANAGER. I HAVE NOW FOR MORE THAN A WEEK TRIED TO GET OUR MONEY BACK
