Our ride on the DOT

on September 2018 me and my wife were visiting savannah Georgia from London England on the first day we was told about the dot bus so we went for a ride, as we stood to the stop some people was talking about how the buses are new and smell good as the bus pulled to the stop and let down the driver had a smile on his face and said hollo to us we told him that we are not from her and he said you sound like you from England yes I said he told us that he visited England last year in may and to much of our surprise he and our grandson are in the Queens Order of Ministers together small world I cant remember his name buy he was so nice and helpful the hole week we were in savannah we tried to see him on our last day but was told that he do not work on the weekends your company is fortunate to have a good person working for you.

Worst experience ever

Me and 4 other p4are sitting at the bus stop and the bus passes right by. It was 20min late and that's the last bus for the night.

I am on abercorn and henry.

So now how and gona get home. This is bs

If you have questions or need information, then you get attitude. I see it all the time, not just me but it happen to others.

Obviously they aren't held accountable, or it would not be happening as often as it does. Hire respectable PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

Bus 9609.rout 14 will pull off before you set down.

I have a pet peve with Savannah Cat services. It late even when it counts expecally the 31 and the 27 during the mornings.

Heres an example of my current encounter. On April 4, 2017. The number 31 was late picking up at LaRouche and Derenne Ave. It got to the transit center at 7:35 a.m.

all the connection buses already left. We all know that the 31 is suppose to run like this. It leaves Walmart in Sandfly at 6:50 a.m. and get to RiverView Nurseing Home at 6:55 a.m.

to be downtown by at the terminal at 7:23 a.m.. To catch the buses that leave at 7:30 a.m.. Yet the buses don't run like they suppose to at times. Savannah is a growning city.

And the buses are always running late or not early enough in places. I'm a working woman my job have strict guide lines and being tardy. Being late once every week or every onther week is a no go. My job has the guideline that after 9 occurances its a automatic fire no exqueses no buts.

Due to me catch catching the bus I've already acumelated 7 so far due to half point of being late 14 times. This is for a 3 month period. At least offer an earily bus for certain routes expecally for the 31 on sunday.

Or booking for a transit bus Teleride for the working folks. Think aount it because the way the system in right now an't working

We can't trust this bus if we have something important. I have seen other bus services in other cities which i found really good.

Abercorn(14) this woman was just going about how she doesn't care about what people report on her cause she tell it like it is!!! and speaking unkind to her customers as they got on the bus.

the machine that takes the money was not working, as people got on the bus they didn't know what to do with there money, instead of her saying machine is down ! she says go head !!! you think l care that this machine dont work.. just saying all kinds of negative words out of her mouth.

l am trying to find a way to make(CAT) start holding these driver accountable for the things that they do and how they treat the customer. how 10mins is spent in walmart by the driver of the 28 waters road in the mornings. feel so bad for the ones who has to get to work by 7:30. also l am trying to get a customer to seek a lawyer about hurting her ankle because the bus driver would not lower the step down....if l can just make some ones bus ride better then mine, thats what lm going to do.

just because its public doesn't mean it has to be such bad service render. how ever I do thank CAT for putting up the bus stop numbers now buses cant just pass you by..

This morning on bus #1110 this morning a Young lady in a wheelchair accompanied by her seeing eye dog got on the bus today.. the bus driver was such an *** to her as it may have inconvenienced him to accommodate her and aid her in securing her chair.

During this time he begins to pull the dog around the front of her as she explains that she will get the dog to herself. He seemed a little off put by the mans demeanor then man rudely snaps at the lady and explains that she is taking up enough space on the bus!

MAM YOUR TAKING UP AN EXTRA FOUR SEATS AS IT IS DO YOU REALLY NEED ANOTHER! What an insensitive A-hole.....

Abercorn Express Route #14

I work at the Walmart on Abercorn , I get off at 4pm , I get outside around 4:03pm , the bus pulls up exactly at 4:07 , its schedule time is 4:06pm , for the past couple of days, its been coming so late, Monday (6-9-2014) it came at exactly 4:44pm then on that Friday, I dont know what time it came because I got tired of waiting and decide to WALK HOME! I do know however what time it arrived, it was after 5 o'clock , I called the customer service line and the lady that answered KEPT trying to convince me that the bus had already come, being that she was NOT out there I kept telling her it did not come, there was people out there since 3 o'clock and the bus never came!!!!!

It doesnt make any sense, we already have to wait their schedule times for it to come and we be expecting them to arrive, but now since its summer and this HEAT is killer! the bus drivers should have a little more respect and to at least arrive on time and not be 45min-1hr late!

Sometimes when you call the Customer Care line, they NEVER answer at all. Smh I just hope they get it together FAST !!!

Chatham area transit (cat) horrible bus drivers

You can't go a whole day without running into one of those nasty drivers from cat when gettin on the bus,and it's allways the women drivers with the nasty attitudes first when you get on the bus they lookin at you mean if you ask them a question they allways got a nasty tone or answe back a *** remark and if you tell them you don't know whee your stop is they'll past right by it and won't even tell you or they'll make you think they'll key you off at the right stop and then never do customer service for cat is terrible on a scale from 1-10 it's -0 for the women,especially this one driver she looks like she's in her 50s with brown hair she youst to drive the 27 or 28 often she's the nasties person there she'll put you off way behind so you'll have to walk further she allways fussing and talkin nasty to people you ask her a question she answer like you supose to know if you don't know where your goin she won't help you shell tell you to get a schedule or give you directions that'll make you have to transfer and walk a lot,she says anything out of her mouth,shell see people struggling with bags on the bus and pull off while their walkin to a seat and they'll be falling and I'd be all night listing everything this old *** does, it's like she does evil things PURPOSLY !

Chatham Area Transit (cat bus) horrible new schedule needs to change!

ok so monday october 7th 2013 the new cat bus station opened up,with that the bus schedules changed now all the buses are running by the hour instead of every 30 minutes. WE HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE HOUR FOR THE BUS!

savannah is too hot to be standing up on a bus stop for 1 WHOLE HOUR,second its makeing people late for work and late for where they gota go,yesterday i had to leave the hospital and go to goodwill on wilmington island,then go over by the savannah mall then back to the hospital it took me 5 hours to get back to the hospital! 3 stops 5 hours! that was rediculous!

going from one side of town to anotherto and back on the otherside!plus the buses seem to be running slower and late! after waiting a whole hour the bus needs to be on time not 5 minutes late!

Chatham Area Transit (cat bus) removed their bus schedule timer!

When you go to catchacat.org their youst to be a link you click on that says where's my bus? You click on it and put in what bus your waiting for and it tells you how many minutes you wait til the bus come.

THEY REMOVED IT! If your phone is dead and you don't have a bus schedule how are you supose to know when the bus come?!

Being that the buses now run by the hour what if your way too early! I don't understand why Would they remove that people who are just learning how to catch the bus needed that like I did when I first learned that was what taught me.
