Pitbull question
- - Front sight is high.
- - At 7 yd it shoots 12 in low.
- - I sold the firearm after not hearing from Charter Arms, and it seemed like a poor design.
I recently bought the pitbull in .380 auto. Found it very difficult to shoot given the extreme height of the front sight.
At 7 yards it shot 12 inches low if using standard sighting. This was confirmed by 2 shooters. Found it very frustrating to find a solution.
Hadn't heard from Charter Arms, so
I sold the firearm. Seems like a very poor design.
Parts I lost
- - They volunteered to send several springs and plungers as needed to make the revolver work.
- - I received advice on resolving a cylinder release issue.
I lost a spring and plunger while working on a revolver and they volunteered to send me several of each as needed to make the pistol work. I was then given advise on how to resolve an issue with the cylinder release not working correctly.
User's recommendation: When in doubt call them, they're great to work with and willing to do whatever it takes to fix your issueever

Verified ReviewerPoor customer service
- - Firearm malfunctioned out of the box and was sent back.
- - Turnaround was over a month, the hold was ignored, and a $47 reship fee was charged.
New firearm malfunction straight out of the box. Sent back.
Over a month turn around. Firearm sent back while I was out of town even though I sent a request to hold shipping till I returned. Shipped anyway and USP sent back to Charter Arms. When I called to reship, CA advised it would cost me $47 this time.
I asked for a waiver, since I requested CA hold till I returned home. Waiver denied, had to pay $47 for shipping after having to buy the new gun and wait over a month as a result of poor quality control and poor communication follow-up. And who knows how the new firearm will function.
Just have to wait and see. VERY DISSATISFIED.

- - Warranty repair for Charter Arms revolver since May 2022; still not returned, with repeated 'check back in 2 weeks' replies and BBB complaint filed.
Sent my Charter Arms revolver back for warranty repair in May 2022. It's now October & I still don't have it back.
Contacted company numerous times only to get the same reply...check back in 2 weeks!
Finally asked company to return my revolver as is & I would pay someone else to repair it.
They still did not return it. I believe they have lost it & don't want to admit it.
Filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau in September & waiting for there response from Charter Arms.

Verified ReviewerWorst handgun I've ever bought
- - The revolver won't fire.
- - If it fires, you must hammer the ejector to remove the spent round.
- - Sent back for repair; after three months, still no gun.
A revolver that will not fire. Unheard of .
Even if it did happen to fire a round ,now you have to hammer the ejector to remove spent round from cylinder. Sent back in for repair. Going on 3 months later they have my hard earned money and I still don't have the gun .
If you are thinking g of buying a firearm from this poor excuse for a gun manufacturer. Save your money.

Verified Buyer |Gun malfunctioning
- - Latch wouldn't open after 30 rounds, blocking shell retrieval.
- - This happened on the first use of the handgun.
- - It's a little disappointing.
After firing 30 rounds for the first time in the handgun, the latch would not open the barrel, so we couldnt retrieve the shells to fire another round. This happened the first time using this handgun. A little disappointing.
