Poor communication with patient

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I scheduled an eye exam with Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates based on a referral. I received a text asking me to complete all the required documentation prior to my office visit.

I completed the forms, including all insurance information, and submitted them. Upon my arrival on the morning of my exam, I provided my insurance cards, which included my primary insurance and my gap insurance. At no time did anyone tell me that Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates was not in my network. After my exam was performed and glasses were selected and ordered, I received the bill.

Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates charged me over $1,000 for an exam and a pair of glasses. I contacted the office to explain this, but my concerns fell on deaf ears. They demonstrated no interest in owning up to their lack of communication.

Lesson learned. I would not recommend using this place for eye care.

Bad experience

I will never go to this Doctor's office again. The doctor gave me my results with no solution to my problem and then I only got one bill and they sent me to collections before I could pay.

Then when I paid a week later I got calls from a collection agency.

This place is unprofessional and I won't be going back and I will not refer anyone to them. I do not appreciate being treated the way I was.

Recent visit to Pineville location

PA gave me my exam. She was very in different to my reasons for visiting.

Exam only lasted a few minutes, and informed me nothing was wrong with my (right) ear. If nothing was wrong I would not have visited the doctor. Additionally, they required I have a hearing test - prior to the exam. Exam showed I have slight hearing loss - I knew that before I came.

The focus then shifted to selling me a hearing aid. Never again will I visit Charlotte Eye Ear.

Billing dept

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Billing dept is a mess! 2 years after my appt they decide I owe 84.00.

I was never sent a bill and online Mr balance is zero. They turned it over to collections and never heard anything from them. I didn't know I even owed anything. I had to get managers approval to be seen.

NEVER AGAIN.

I am done with them and their constant billing errors. Be careful...

Absolutely terrible experience

Ceenta is a joke of a practice! They are the epitome of assembly line medicine that is ruining the health of this country.

The doctor I saw seemed completely disinterested in talking about the reason I came to see him. He ordered an MRI and MRA for me and never contacted me with the results. The nurse was very rude to me for requesting my results and next steps. They sent me a bill and their system allowed me to set up a payment plan only to be told by their billing department that they don't do payment plans and that I had 90 days to pay the full balance before being sent to collections.

MRI's are very quite expensive and the fact they won't work with you at all even if you want to set up a payment plan is absolutely ridiculous.

They are a prime example of why medicine in this country is such a joke when compared to other developed nations. It seems to me that all they really care about is profit.

Denial Of Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My daughter had an appointment today at CEENT at University area and she was denied service/doctors appointment because they are saying that there is an outstanding balance for an MRI at least one year ago. The problem is at the time of the appointment that we spoke to the doctor about an MRI my daughter and I were told by the doctor that we would have to go to another location that did MRIs and that it would be only an office visit.

We both agreed that would be great.

Not only was she denied service, but her records were nowhere to be found for previous visits. So they said.

She is under our insurance, and we are the responsible party for her since she is not 26 years old yet. They wouldn't look up her file even when she was at the appointment.

This is so wrong and infuriating.

DO NOT TRUST CEENT to look out for your best interest.
