DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON!! He will steal money from you, leave your job in shambles and THEN sue YOU for whatever reason he justifies in his head!
Do NOT be fooled! He knows enough about the judicial system to jam you up in litigation for 5-10 years! He will get the court to waive all of his fees for being (poor) while you pay for representation and then he will appeal and appeal and appeal then take it to another court when all his appeals have been exhausted. It will cost you thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours while he plays the system to continue to screw you over in any way he possibly can.
This fraud is a powder keg of hate and loss. Do your due diligence and pass on this person!!!! FYI, he's changed his company name multiple times so look at: Apple Fast Corp., CBCS, CenterBeam Contracting Services, Charles Brzezinski Construction Services, or anything else that his name is tied to. Don't be fooled like the rest of us and be left with nothing....

Unprofessional contractor costs us thousands extra
We already left a review of Charles Brzezinski and CBCS but please disregard that review as it was forced out of us because Charles held our project hostage until my wife left positive feedback. We hired Charles to construct a tiny house on a 24x8 ft. flatbed trailer which the build process was to be filmed for a TV show. From the beginning Charles was a bit difficult to deal with however, he had a designer Karen Jennings who was the voice of reason and really heard what we had in mind and kept things on track. We cannot speak highly enough of Karen, her professionalism, attention to detail and integrity are amazing and if you’re looking for a designer we highly recommend her! In our opinion, Charles is one of the most unprofessional, unethical people and in our experience, he has no problem bullying, lying, and threatening when he doesn’t get his way, it was also our experience that he continually over promises and under delivers. During the course of our project Charles made several homophobic jokes and continued to make jokes implying that I was in a romantic relationship with an individual from the show that we were having issues with. This type of behavior is unprofessional enough but he also constantly cursed and used foul language regardless of who was around. Charles was in charge of the build budget that we agreed on and he went grossly over budget, with zero change orders or communication about it with us. After the show left there was a long list of things that he still needed to fix and finish. We communicated to him that we needed the project by 16 December 2016 and he drug his feet and did not complete the project. He got to a point that he considered the project complete and stopped working on it and then held the project hostage on his property demanding more money. On one of the days that I did a walk through pointing out shoddy work and asking what the plan was, this apparently upset Charles and he began to yell, curse and berate me. I simply pulled out my phone and took a video of this.
Any issue, mistake or plain incorrect work Charles would immediately blame outside factors, people with the show, or even us the clients. When we started suspecting that he was using un-licensed sub-contractors we requested a full list of all sub’s information, which he was required to provide to us per our contract he refused to provide this information. When we asked for a list of what our payments were paying for, which is required by CA state law he also refused to provide this information. After 2 months we finally received our project as complete as he was willing to do.
To receive our project we had to sign over a gooseneck trailer that belonged to us, and leave positive feedback.
I have now spent 3 weeks fixing the issues that he refused to fix even though they were on a punch list he was aware of. The following is a list of the top discrepancies that were noted and I have been fixing:
• 2 confirmed water leaks thus far and have to remove large portions of the exterior walls to access
• Gas line leaks
• Remove all the cabinetry for the entertainment area, dismantle them, cut them down to the proper 15 inch depth (that was called in the original design), re-assemble and re-install
• Completely redo the shoddy trim that was haphazardly installed around them the cabinetry
• Paint splatter all over our house and cabinets
• All cabinetry has scratches, dings, and scuffs
• Sink had a large gob of mastic dried and left inside it
• Countertop had an awful caulking job that had to be removed and redone
• The glass mosaic tile that was selected for the kitchen backsplash was ruined. Instead white subway tile left over from our bathroom was installed. The cuts on these tiles are chipped and jagged.
• Sink was not siliconed
• Medicine cabinet disappeared (purchased by us), nothing installed
• Photo sensors for the exterior lights disappeared (purchased by us)

When we hooked up water for the first time we immediately had a leak coming through the wall. We notified him of this on a Thursday and he said the soonest he could take care of it would be the following Tuesday. The location that we had the project was being tented and we could not stay there. We decided to move the house so that Charles would no longer be aware of our location. Based on our interactions with him we didn’t know if he would damage our project or even take it when we weren’t there. We hired a licensed plumber to come out and fix the leak who had to cut a large hole through the front of our house. After fixing the leak he stated (in writing) that the leaking fitting was not installed to code, therefore installed improperly and was very clearly not pressure tested for the required 24 hours prior to putting up the walls.
We believe that the electrical was never installed after installation and we are having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring.
Lastly, during our research after all of these issues it was discovered that the license #999910 that he’s operating under does not belong to him. The contractor license is issued and held by Robert Anthony Lotta who is the Responsible Managing Officer (RMO) over Charles. CA state law requires that the RMO be engaged in “direct supervision and control” of the work. Which is any one or combination of the following activities: Supervising construction, managing construction activities by making technical and administrative decisions, checking jobs for proper workmanship, or direct supervision on construction job sites. Reference: Contractor State License Board, Rules & Regulations, Chapter 13, Article 2.
To the best of our knowledge Mr. Lotta did not meet any of those requirements and as far as we know he was not even informed of the project as we had never heard of him, met him, seen his name on ANY paperwork until we ran the license number at www.cslb.ca
Please do the due diligence and research that we unfortunately didn’t do until it was too late before considering hiring this person/company. Do NOT rely on anything discussed over the phone or in person, get EVERYTHING in writing.

Preferred solution: I want my trailer back, I also want to be reimbursed for all the professionals that are fixing the issues, the costs that I've taken on to finish unfinished jobs, and materials provided that "disapeared" and to actually finish the house.

not sure why my other reviews are gone. I had the misfortune of hiring Charles.
first he is working with a partner Bob Lotta I was not told this till many months into the projects. First of all my remodel was abandoned and I was left to hire other contractors to finish it. After I spoke with Mr. Lotta Charles manufactured unauthorized "change orders".
By law they must be signed and a new price must be given. I am owed for a front door Charles did not complete. Also I was overcharged $2200 for bathroom tile I paid for in the original contract.
The project took way longer than expected and I was not informed or given any deadlines. The only thing I was given where excuses and threats with demands for more money every time I did not conform to Charles's way of thinking.

Charlie was hired for a room remodel. He submitted a proposal, stating scope of work and time for completion. He estimated the project would take 4-6 weeks. After more than 24 weeks, we "fired" him. He didn't show up or call for weeks at a time, had less than half of the project finished and was paid for 75% of the work.
Upon hiring a second contractor to finish the project, we discovered that the work Charlie did was not up to code and dangerous in most aspects. He failed to vent the toilet and shower, or to put in the entire drain. Almost everything he installed had to be taken out and reinstalled. I have never experienced such shoddy workmanship.
Charlie lied to us every step of the way. He indicated his truck was stolen, but it miraculously reappeared with the tools 5 days later. His father passed away, but we discovered that his father passed away 3 months before starting our project!
Last, Charlie treated his employees terribly, and displayed immense racism and sexism.
Please save your money and time and don't hire this contractor.

Avoid at all costs- CBCS or other names of company
Challenge to Charlie- show any evidence you treat you workers or for that matter customers with any respect or fair financial deal at all. To any potential customers- research this person and company and evaluate for yourself if its the risk of being the next victim of being Charlies Personal Atm and becoming one of the customers or workers he then accuses of being "fake".
In his comments read them his response to unpaid worker is to file a lien on Charlies latest victims property. There are numerous victims both customers and prior employees. Oh by the way look at his comment "only problem is customers who dont follow contract". Future customer you will have your property abandoned any work you manage to get will be ***.
You will spend time and money cleaning up after Charlie if you are very lucky you will not have a lien placed. More than likely you will lose thousands of dollars and have legal bills. Any customer service will be Charlie wanting more money.
Get everything in writing extensively have attorney look at contract be warned it will change to whatever fits Charlies benefit and you will then be labeled fake or liar as are Charlies numerous past workers or customers. In my opinion check for yourself before any interaction with this person then chose for yourself if you want the risk.

STOLE my money
CBCS/Charlie Brzezinski took money that I paid him, to work on other jobs. My retaining wall is still not completed and the materials have not been delivered to complete the project.
He has been paid in full for the wall/yard. Charlie bullies you to pay him more and more money even though his contract and the law says he cannot get more money. Charlie was a family friend of 30 years so I trusted him more than I should have. He promises you free stuff, does work you didn't authorize and then bills you for it.
I am filing with the CA Contractors board and he has several cases already pending. Remember that he will promise you the moon and then leave you hanging with sub standard/not to code work. IF you are a senior, a woman and even a man he will bully you for more money.
I have to have the tiling work in my bathroom totally torn out and redone because it was done totally wrong and not to code. Contact me for proof and pictures.
Preferred solution: Refund of paid monies /supplies and reimbursement for bathroom having to be redone

He painted the house the wrong color . He said he sent a change order ,which he didn't .
I asked him to show me the signed order , he said I said go ahead because the color was close enough not to worry !! BS !! The over spray on the outside , made it look worse . He was so-pose to change nobs and handles through out the house but of coarse he said he ran out of money so until I pay that can't be done .
That lying *** will not see another dime from me !!!

Charles is a thief. He will lie until he is blue in the face but will never 'man up' and take resonsibilty for shotty wormanship and flat out lying to customers.
Charles, if this is all false and all your customers are 'lying'.... Can you please explain the violations listed on your license?
If all these people are full of crapp, then what do you have to say to the CSLB who wrote u the violations? Let me guess...the CSLB is full of crap too? This is only from ONE complaint filed. There are three more complaints currently being investigated, so I'm sure there are more violations to come.

You should check out the just published accusation file by the CSLB against his license. The CSLB is recommending a suspension or revocation because it found 27 causes for disciplinary action and these are related to workmanship.
In many cases, serious departures from trade standards were discovered. In one case, Charlie was referred for criminal prosecution after he essentially stole $6,000 from one client. I recommend a little more education before defending this con man.
Also, are you familiar with his civil and criminal history? Both can be accessed at sdcourt.ca.gov/portal and do not paint a pretty picture of this guy.

Paperwork not completed properly can be verified by contractors board. Overcharged for job it was shotty work and job not completed.
No customer service besides demands for money for incomplete @@@@ work.
Research this so called contractor via state board and San Diego superior court dont let Charles allegations of all past workers and cliets being fake or lying claiming they owe money judge for yourself. Avoid this person avoid financial disaster and headaches

Charles Brzenski aka CBrEZY or Ceterbeam who knows guess companies name. Let me clarify the hustle game for any cliets.
1. Contract will be vague so Charlie can switch gears when he wants or suits HIM. 2. Charge top dollar use cheap product cut corners.
3. Charlie is the king of making up alleged change orders. 4. Threaten client or label them delirous or fake when they call Charlie out.
5. At this point your project will be left screwed up or plan abandoned. 6. As Charlie has already planned he will place a lien and falsely Claim hes owed money.
7. Oh by the way dont expect any warranty or corrections. Thats Charles standard operating procedure screw the client and take their money for shotty work.
Read his responses slandering and libeling clients by the way any contract is void if his client is delirous like he poibts out his victims are fake and delirous. I guess contractors boatd is fake and delirous as well.

If you want to have the experience of being overcharged, shoddy work if completed at all. Be advised contractor will take no responsibility, there will be no warranty or receipts provided.
Judge for yourself read the contractors answers where he bullies his past workers and blames and name-calls customers. Avail yourself of reviews, BBB, state contractors board, San Diego superior court look-up, make sure any references are LEGITIMATE!
Be very careful who you hire so that it doesn't come back to haunt you and become a serious mistake where you are out a lot of money and being mistreated and threatened. do your due diligence!

According to Mr. Brzezinski the only problem he has is to be polite use his own words "delusional clients" under California law if Charles believes using his own words and claims @@@@@ clients are @@@ any contracts are void and this would be undue influence and abuse if ALL his clients are jacked up.
