I was sold a car that was in an accident

AI Highlights
  • - Nissan says the car had an accident in 2015.
  • - Intercooler installed in 2015 was not for Nissan.
  • - Camelback Volkswagen did not follow up.

To Whom It May Concern

I am a customer from Phoenix Arizona.

In 2016, my wife and I purchased a 2014 Juke that had a little over 6k miles on it. Early May 2019, I took it to the Nissan Dealer for repairs of the Turbo Engine that was supposed to be under warrantee, and Nissan informed me that the vehicle was in an accident in 2015 prior to my purchase and that the intercooler installed in the car in 2015 was not for Nissan, therefore, they will not cover the repairs.

We stopped at your dealership, the location where I have purchased the car in 2016

Camelback Volkswagen

1499 E.

Camelback Road

Directions Phoenix, AZ 85014 and spoke to the sales manager, Mike Turcotte, and he said he will get back to us and never did even after I reached out that same week (emails attached).

I then came back to discuss with the used car managers. I was pointed to a room where there were two men hiding behind their computer screen with no chairs for customers. I mentioned what Nissan dealership had told me and they immediately reacted with extreme unprofessionalism (we have witnesses).

I am an AVP of a 4000 employees company, I understand customer service, and these two managers cannot be representing VW in any way, shape or form. It is a shame that VW hires individuals that have the potential to disrespect their own customers when presented with a legitimate situation, especially if my intent was to trade the vehicle the next day (I had an appointment)

In summary, I was sold a vehicle that was in an accident, I was then ignored and disrespected by your managers.

I have all the paperwork from NISSAN that show the vehicle’s history and my intent is to go to the Bureau of inspector general, TV stations, BBB and my lawyer.

I did feel the need to inform VW national first because I have always respected the company and have purchased and was intending to purchase a VW.
