Problem with faulty siding claim

AI Highlights
  • - Seeking settlement for shrinking/cracking siding on our 2009 John Weiland home.
  • - Feb claim rejected for more photos; resubmitted 6/13/18.

We purchased a John Weiland home in 2009. We are having a problem getting settlement from Certainteed Fiber Cement Litigation so we may replace shrinking/cracking siding.

Our original claim was in February of this year (which was rejected citing additional photos, etc were needed!). Resubmitted information as required (6/13/18) only to receive a letter back requesting further information. We have called 1-85*-332-**** number located in Chanhassen, MN trying to resolve this matter. Have asked for supervisor (Chris, they will not share last name) to give a call back...still no courtesy call!!!

I am a Vietnam war veteran/senior citizen who doesn't deserve being treated in this manner. If you are building a new home please ask if Certainteed fiber siding or shingles are being used in construction, if so, I strongly suggest requesting another manufacturer.

Loss:
$39800
Cons:
  • Requesting further information when all requested
Reason of review:
Poor customer service

Preferred solution: Full refund

Hi - I would highly recommend you contact an attorney. If an attorney feels they can get there fees assigned to CertainTeed, you will not pay anything for the suit and CertainTeed should pay. It may take a little longer to settle - but would be well worth your time!
