General rule of thumb, if you have to pay, deposit in your personal account... Not legit. I defer to a debit card for banking, I also don't send my DL, SSN or Bank info...big red flags

Received a call from the Angelina Martinez stating that I was hired by the company sent a check for $2100 asked to deposit the check into my personal checking account and just seems very suspicious

Common scam. They will send you a fake check, have you spend some of the money and wire a large portion back to them. You will find out a few days later the check was fake and you now owe the bank the entire amount (in the thousands).
