Avoid at all costs – Among the worst experiences I have had with any business

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Review for the service department. Are negative stars a possibility? Please, do yourself a favor and drive out of your way to go to a different Kia dealership or a local mechanic if your warranty is up. Short version: While “repairing” my car they caused additional damage elsewhere. They initially very politely admitted fault and agreed to rectify the problem for free. However, when the appointment arrived they very rudely refused to cover the costs and only said they would fix it if I paid them standard rates...even though they broke it. If you, like every consumer, do not want your car to leave the shop with new problems, your budget to suffer the resulting new costs of said new damage, and your schedule to endure the hassle of multiple appointments weeks apart...please by all means necessary do not take your car to Century 3 Kia for service. I’m sure some people have a fine experience here if it is a cut and dry transaction. They were initially very nice and pleasant for the most part. However, if you run into any unexpected issues or problems with your car...this is not the type of business or people you will want to be entangled with. They do not care about the customer and will throw you under the bus without hesitation. Furthermore if they, even occasionally, are careless enough with customers cars in the garage to cause additional damage...do you really want them working on the vehicle that you rely on? I hardly ever write reviews, but I had such a horrible experience with Century 3 Kia I felt the need to warn others. If you have a choice...trust me, don’t come here. Drive to Monroeville or Robinson or Wexford if you must. You can do better elsewhere, it would be hard to do worse. Other more minor items of note: - They don’t keep (almost) any parts in stock so you will need at least 2 appointments for a repair. If after reading this you still go here for some reason plan on two appointments. - Appointments book 2-3 weeks out. Again, not sure why you would go here, but after the initial appointment plan on not having the part installed/repaired for a few weeks. AKA, your car will not work for weeks. - They are super expensive. They quoted me $330 to fix the damage they caused. I contacted some other garages and it looks like $150-$200 is the going rate everywhere else. - Most importantly! Don’t forget...they might break your car and then ask for more money to fix it.

I took my 2011 Optima to Century III KIA to have the steering coupler replaced under the extended warranty due to a clicking noise when the wheel was turned. I was told the problem was with the whole column and it needed to be replaced at a cost of $1300. I asked them to please replace the $2.00 coupler to eliminate it as a possible cause. They refused to do so. I took the car to South Hills KIA and they replaced the coupler at no cost. The car is as good as new. Century III obviously tried to gouge me by recommending an unnecessary repair

Stealting is a crime

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently purchased a 2017 Sportage from Century III Kia. After I asked "what is the exact price of this car," my salesman, Craig, pointed to the sticker price and said "this is it." I asked him if he could do better and he said "no." I said OK, I can deal with that. I signed the papers in a flurry as I was very nervous. I am a senior citizen, recent widow and never bought a new car by myself in my life. I also turned in my lease which had a few payments left. Because I had to wait for the lease that I turned in to be auctioned off to determine the exact dollar amount that was left, it was months before I found out. When I did a few weeks ago, I saw that I was shorted $399. I took a day off from work and went back to the dealership thinking they would return my money. I was even going to give the staff some of my homemade fudge when they did. Here is what I was told by Josh Beal and Rich Ward... 1) the salesman had no right to tell me the price on the sticker was the actual one I would pay. 2) if I would have come to them sooner, they MAY have been able to do something about the discrepancy. 3) The Kia I purchased (July, 2016) is such a hot item that they were going to raise the price on them soon anyway. How was I to know that the salesman had no authority to tell me what it would cost. I told them I had just received my letter and that I didn't not know till then, that I was shorted the $399. Is it my fault they didn't increase their prices before I walked in the door? THEY EVEN THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE ON ME.

You are quite the idiot.

I contacted the PA Attorney's office about this, and they said there was no wrong doing on the part of Century III; however it is unethical. They also said if they receive more complaints similar to this they will investigate further.

In summary, Century III, is an UNETHICAL dealership, and should not be in business.

"I was even going to give the staff some of my homemade fudge"

I literally laughed when I saw that. I think I may try that tomorrow.

"Excuse me, I have no idea what I am doing, but I am going to blame it on you and demand money. Here's some fudge!"

Worst dealership I have ever been to

Started off with the "click bait" on their website, really good deals, go there, no, you do not qualify for that. Then we found a car we liked, took it for a ride, the salesman, Ryan, did a ton of "bs-ing" and took about 10 cigarette breaks while he was with us. Then he came back and said we can't get the Rio. Ok, so next we found a 2012 Sportage, was a nice car, determined that was the car we wanted, spent nearly 3 hours, did not let us negotiate one bit! "We can't go any lower than this" as someone else had said, they do belittle you at c3kia. The other ***, Sam, came and bs-ed with us, terms for the car were $375 a month for 72 months! We were ready to sign this mediocre of a deal, but thankfully my wise mind kicked in and we did not go through with it. If I were you, I would stay far, far away from this joke of a dealership. ***, you'd be better off to take the bus than to get a car from these ***

Stay away

By far the worst company and professional business I have ever dealt with in my life.I will not recommend a living soul to Century 3 Kia. The salesman was entirely disgruntled and off the mark, this guy basically stared us down and was judging us by what we were wearing!! me and my wife basically got up and put on gym clothes and went to the dealership, being both career physicists and with good income, I knew how much we could afford. went there to try to trade our current car for a bigger SUV, I told him how much I wanted to pay per month, what my credit score was, even the price I found ballpark for my trade in. He did a pull on my credit, the salesman balked at my idea of staying under 500 a month, he said that I will have a big interest rate and then went over some questions as if this was a bank house loan interview, everything was scrutinized... he then went to the manager. Sitting there the salesman kept coming by every few minutes, giving us a look, would look us up and down and turn away with disdain as if he saw us as inferior beings, he stopped by to ask if I could put down an exorbitant amount down, basically the negative equity on my trade in plus an extra 2 grand.... I said no, he then left, saw him specifically drop our paperwork in a trash can, then came back to tell us that "sorry we can't help you" They take their good ole time and could care less about you and your life let alone the local community.NEVER GO TO CENTURY 3 KIA, you'll regret it, trust me!

Forgot to add that Mr. Stewart smoked in the leased Equinox I was turning in when he drove it across the street to the Chevy dealership.

exactly my sentiments also. Craig Stewart preyed on me, a widowed senior citizen.

He even lifted his shirt to show me his recent surgery scar. The dealership ripped me off of $399 and I am not going to let this go.

Buying first NEW car at age 64; ripped off by dealer.

I live in PITTSBURGH, always bought old cars and fixed them up. Last one was a 2001 Honda Odyssey. I did a lot to fix that van to get it on the road. Finally at 10 years old and 146,000 miles I decided to trade it in on my FIRST new car (I'm 64 years old). I compared the Kia Soul and the Honda Element (2011 is it's last year of production). Seemed like the Kia was more affordable; because the dealer (Century III KIA)head salesman offered $6,000 in trade. The Kia Soul also lists lower than the Element. Was I in for a surprise. I had a balance due on the Odyssey so they paid that off; BUT, in the end did not put the $2500 from the offer into my downpayment AND padded the bill with things like a windshield treatment that averages to $400 at other dealers. This dealer said it's part of an extended warranty; BUT, wrote it up for $2,000 in addition to charging $1150 for the extended service. This brought the cost of the KIA Soul+ to above that of the Honda Element. My first question when I inquired about the KIA SOUL was to see if Factory Service Manuals were available to owners. I was told yes. When I went back to complain the head sales rep said he put the money into the cost of the new vehicle. It was a bold lie. I registered a complaint with the general manager of the dealer and called the KIA complaint line and filed a complaint there to. Since the amount of the fraud is $5,000 I am calling my state attorney general's office about it. Only one key came with the car and not even an Owner's manual or the Shop Service Manuals. Was told they will be in shortly. Meantime I'm running around with only 1key.

This is why no one likes car dealers, exactly what they try to do with everyone. Should have went with the Honda, the Kia is going to rust out on you from underneath.

KIA- Century 3 in Pittsburgh Area ( West Mifflin ) worst business I ever dealt with in 30 years

By far the worst company and professional business I have ever dealt with in my life. I will not recommend a living soul to Century 3 Kia or Century 3 Chevrolet ever. I bought a used Nissan there, and would of been better off buying one at the scrap yard or junk yard, better service exists there too. They left me hanging along with my family for over a month, yes took a month to finance cause they are ***, so in return my credit got screwed cause they couldn't cut a check for my lease I turned in until they finance the car. They take their good ole time and could care less about you and your life let alone the local community. NEVER GO TO CENTURY 3 KIA, you'll regret it, trust me!
