Traumatic loss and additional fraudulent attacks against financial accounts

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was a storage tenant here at this location for over 7 months before tragically falling behind on rent due to financial hardships and the fact that the business increased the rent by almost 20+% just after I started having issues paying the rent. They also made undue obnoxious changes to the lease as well, which fit under a broad modification clause in the lease.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch up and I lost all of my personal private and greatly needed property and belongings to a public auction on June 15th.

Sometime after the business coldly contacted me about a bag of stuff that the people who wrongly took all of my property left behind.

I responded with a long email describing how I felt uncomfortable returning to the property to deal with them and that I didn't trust them to handle the situation properly. I requested that the bag of stuff, if they cared, be mailed to me. They obviously didn't care and they never responded. Fast forward a month later and I am beginning to suffer violations of my financial accounts bringing them hundreds of dollars in the negative.

I have reason to believe that some of the property in the bag was very sensitive personal private ID and financial documents that I believe they somehow recklessly or maliciously let another party take possession of and they have begun draining accounts.

The first one was my FHB checking account that has suffered over 30 fraudulent charges with multiple overdraft charges bringing it several hundred in the negative. The person used my debit card and my PIN#. Since that isn't an account I used often I left my debit card in it's original envelope and the PIN# was with it locked away in a suitcase that they apparently broke open as they rifled through all of my personal property.

The *only way* these charges of this nature are possible is through someone being given and/or obtaining that envelope. I had this information no where else and I only had one debit card.

This very harmful traumatic and excessively negative and abusive experience with this business continues to escalate months after they contributed to making me lose all of my vital property.

When someone has someone else's sensitive information and documents in their possession it is their responsibility to handle, mail, or dispose of it properly, safely, sensitively, and respectfully.

They failed to do this and the responsibility of these accounts being put in jeopardy falls on them entirely.

Lack of compassion and reckless disregard should have a cost!
