We went to the Christmas Eve service like we have for the past 5 years and we instantly had two women that came off rude from the start. They were complaining about my 1 year old grandbaby and saying very rude comments to us the entire time.

I brought it up to the staff and they said just sit down its almost over. We will never be going back to this church ever again.

Discrimination and favoritism .. toxic leadership

I am a former attendee of 4 years . Took me time to realize the true colors of these leaders . They are not fruitful at all.

Pastor Jud is a good man but it's too and he may not know what's going on.

As of the leadership goes - Pastor Nick Bodine - he is a flake. He does not honor his own word. I will say the same for Nikki Mcmullin. Kristin Young ( now married ) is a heartless woman who does not consider others . She is part of the reason why I left and had audacity to embarrass me .

Mike Kitchen is one of the largest of reasons to why I left . He is behind it all to why I cant serve on a team . Him and I never got along ...I also learned some stories about how he was cheating on his wife

Will Pitts- I was under his mentorship for awhile til I learned he was plotting against me as well as Pastor Brandon and K9 Security guard Kevin Martinez ..

Leader Joe Duke- leader of the door greeting and traffic control failed to consider my health conditions wanting to put me in the heat for traffic control and I can't be in heat because I get heat strikes easy and he refuses to put in door greeting after believe false rumors about me ...

Everyone else as I mention the names -

Luke Sisk- leader and founder of Grace City Warriors and a member of central church ..him and I had a fallen out because I refused to come back to central leading to me losing friendship with Brian Baudin, Brian West , Kris Ortiz, Jason Wicken, and Frank Montes ... I got kicked out of the group for speaking my mind to why I won't go back to central but open to reunite with some people of central outside the church

Matthew Blevins - is also a flake . He said he wanted us to get together for a coffee and catch up but he ends up blocking me

Nicole McKenny and Dee-these 2 ladies are the reasons why they costed me a relationship with a nice girl name Rosalie Ramos .by hiring some people as security to keep me away from her . Rosalee and I briefly got back together and admitted that Nicole and Dee had these people as hired ons to keep me away from her making it look like Rosalee betrayed me

Lastly -this one guy that I believe is part of the security team . His name is Michael. he is bald with a grey/white mustache- I want everyone to know how much of an *** he is . He embarrassed me in front of others when I was trying to get my Xmas gifts for my kids . He had me wait out in the cold instead of being compassionate. He is a heartless man and his wife is also mean too .

To Pastor Jud : I am willing that differences can be settled but under the condition that it will be just me and you talking. I am open for some reconciliation.

I am still friends with 2 people there but I will not say names

I highly doubt if Jud cares. He and his ministry gossiped about me.

I am traumatized. This church cares about money. They are good about making the poor feel bad about themselves. They make sure poor people don't get too comfortable.

If there is s-xual sin in the ministry, the church will end up in a state of confusion. Wake up congratulations for leaving Central.

You sound like an absolutely horrible person. It’s bad enough to have evil in your heart, but to disparage people in a public forum?

This site got 3.2 visits in January.

That’s a lot of exposure to your post. You need to take it down.

It's a cult and I am traumatized. This cult cares about money and pastors shouldn't sleep around. Oh, I believe this from past experience how I was treated by a pastor there.

I am traumatized. The ministry has the perfect past sins, makes a person feel comfortable to confess their hardships and the ministry will gossip and assassinate your character.

It's been 17 years, that church in toxic and cares about money. They will make the poor feel bad about themselves.

The Pastor talks about himself during service.

I am traumatized. I regret going to Central.

Central Christian Church - Means well, but is pushy
Original review updated May 26, 2024

I texted for a prayer about my relationship with my darling and I got a lady by the name of "Janyth". She means well but she's rather pushy.

Some of my beliefs are very personal and I don't think she understands that. When it came to requesting prayer and talking with her, I came away feeling much worse.

The other lady I spoke with, Michelle, was very nice and actually prayed with me about the subject I called to pray for.

Because of my experience with Janeth, I don't feel at ease with calling them anymore.

Totally disrespected at a church no less

Updated by user Sep 17, 2023

Joel Osteen is my pastor stay away From toxic environments. Don’t let the small things affect your future move away from unhealthy situations that have no bearing on your future greatness.

Etc. have no need for a church that has rules that are holding me back. Just move on and enjoy my destinyOut of sight out of mind. Let things go in your life that are holding you back and just always do the right thing.

Not that difficult. You canBless yourself !

Original review Aug 18, 2023
I am a famous dancer from Drais nightclub. I thought I would dance
Down close to the stage when the band played at the beginning of the
Sermon last Saturday.

I have never been disrespected for dancing in my
Life. I always just try to increase the energy and help everyone have good feelings. Bouncer in corner came over
And told me to stop dancing and go sit down. Church owes me an apology
If they want my forgiveness.

They
Are just money grubbers and have no cross, no organ music, nothing really inside to show they are even a church. Church is a good reason why
Churches are in decline.

Recommend
Listening and following Joel Osteen
Sundays on cox channel 376 and in
20 minutes you will hear a message
To brighten your day with no pressure
To make offerings. Beware of the
Central church cult scam.!!!

This church takes and takes from my mother who has a disability and is on social security. She volunteers over 20 hours a week, donates money weekly and buys all the religious tokens (made in China) from the church and they STILL pressure her for more money.

When she fell ill, no support came from her beloved church community.

Beware the snakes.

I was horrified at the change

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I went to Central Christian when Gene Apple was the pastor. Just about every sermon I felt like he was talking to me because I could relate to what he was saying.

I left Las Vegas for 25 years and came back just 3 years ago and of course the first place I wanted to go with Central Christian. I walked in there and sat next to a woman that I asked if she would show me around the church after the service and she said it's better if you ask someone else I've only been here a year. Really that's the response you give to a newcomer? Central is nothing like it was when Gene Apple ran it.

Yes it was small but people actually interacted with one another. They had Wow, Women of the Word, a Bible study where all women in the church came together and you felt like they were all your best friends. At Central in Henderson after the service I asked if I could speak to someone or get information on people who were looking to rent a room in their home. The young kids looked at me and started telling me about homeless shelters.

I wasn't homeless, I was simply new to Las Vegas after being away for 25 years. I could go on and on but I won't. Central is nothing like it used to be. You could feel the Holy Spirit every Sunday when Gene ran it.

That church was filled with love and it's a shame that he moved to California to make yet another church as wonderful as Central Christian was back in the day. Many people love and miss you Gene and wish you'd never moved away.

There was a story in the bible about giving 10%. Best to my understanding a person doesn't have to give 10% taken out of context. It also says not to go to greedy churches like Central.

Yes, its a cult church and very money hungry!

This church is very much a cult. The church will ask for money and money.

I wonder where the money goes to when they're plenty of people in Vegas who need real help! The leaders aren't christian or helpful at all. I was judged by Dawn one of the church leaders at Central Summerlin. Dawn told me, I cater to single mother's like you!

Well Dawn, I'm not single, I'm a married woman of twelve years with two boys. When I left LDS church, I went to this fake christian church because I wanted to learn about Jesus! Then when I attended a bible study at Central Summerlin, the women, including Linda judged my family and I because my husband is a business man and travels a lot. I got up and left the bible study and never went back!

They claim to believe in the bible but the church is too fancy and all they do ask about money, money, money. Central Summerlin and Henderson, is too materialistic and they are not of Jesus Christ! The church has a spirit of Satan at Central, the spirit of materialistic and money. If your not rich and fancy like the leaders in Central, your a nobody and you don't fit in at all in this church!

Central Church in Summerlin and Henderson do not believe in Jesus or the Holy Spirit. The Leaders at Central are so quick to judge you and what you been through. The bible says to test the spirit to make sure it's from God. Be careful at this church, the leaders and pastors are wolves in sheep's clothing the same way like the leaders in the LDS church.

Yes, your money is going towards the Pastor's homes and fancy car's! Beware!

They slandered me and made a mockery out of me. They have the perfect past sins.

You get comfortable telling them your issues. I suffer from trauma, this happened over 16 years ago.

Guest

It's been 15 years I am still hurt how they treated me. How they made me feel bad about myself and gossiped about me and made fun of me.

Guest

Agree, felt it when I first walked in and attended the Owners classes. They are all fakers, prude, bigots.

All hiding behind the guise of the Bible and Christianity. They give “plain” looking people judge mental looks, and if you notice, why do all the people have expensive clothes? Why do the churchgoers dress like they are going to a night club and risky type clothing(women mostly). Quite a few Inappropriate clothing attires for family Sunday service.

Not to mention the multitude of ***/*** relationships/couples in the church and staff too.

Bible says love the person not their sins. So letting in a person Jesus has open declared as sinners is just like letting the devil, murderers, rapists into your church, saying it’s ok...we accept and love all sins too.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1385395

Your actually insane. I love how your complaining about this church judging you for not wearing nice clothing but in your review your judging people on what they wear.

Also this church is accepting to everyone and it is willing to give people second chances. Also, your overthinking if you believe people are giving you “dirty looks.” No one does that. Also the “type of clothing” people wear shouldn’t matter to you and I don’t know why your making sure a big deal about it. If they “accept everyone” it is expected for people to come in all types of clothing.

It’s probably a good thing that your pathetic, overly-complaining self doesn’t go to this church because I don’t think anyone would want you to go here anyway if your just going to judge the people that go to church there, yourself. @TessaRexxus

I am new at this church 5 months now, I just really would hope that the church would warn all that God is just and condemns all sin and that the devil is real, prepare us for spiritual warfare, not only that God is good, we know that, preach about the tools we need to have victory in Jesus

I have been attending this church service. As well as other churches in the area.

For more than ten years. I have continued to volunteer, tithe, and have been a part of many small groups for a very, very long time. However I have to say that the church was far better off when " Gene Apple" was the pastor. He was focused more on the ministry, instead of the announcements & offerings.

Every time I come to church, I hear at least ten announcements, on how to tithe or donate to the church. Which gives a lot less time to talking about the word. Not everyone can come to small groups, due to scheduling or health problems. Therefore more time should be focused on ministry.

Dont get me wrong, I think it is wonderful to have programs for the youngsters. However, I do not think it is necessary for this church to spend millions of dollars, on extra seating. As the church is never close to filled, with the exception of Christmas & Easter. And I really think Wi-Fi at the church is not great.

I see people on there phones during service times, who are texting their friends over Instagram. Rather than paying attention to the message. Most are not looking up bible verses. The church is suppose to be a place, where people find community & support.

Especially on weekend services. It should not be another place, to ignore one another with our electronic devices. Yes, I know about small groups. I am in several.

However 99% of the people are not welcoming or supportive. The only teacher, I had in a small group that was helpful was Pastor "Marvin Gant". Moreover, I would much rather see actual bibles placed in the seats. This way people can interact with one another, and read along with scripture.

On another note, I think it would be a good idea to help the homeless and less fortunate come to church. Yet I have not seen a program to help bring these folks to the church and the word of God. I am all about helping others. However, how come we have not volunteered for the charity programs in our town?

I think it would be awesome to go out into the community and help these folks come to the church and volunteer ( year round) to do what we can in our own community. With all the volunteers, donations and resources we have. I think we could all put our money and resources to better use. And I am not the only one who thinks this way.

There are many in the church, who feel this way. We are not against God. We love him and praise him.

We just want to make changes and give glory to God. Thank you for listening.God bless you

They have a great food pantry/closet that is open twice weekly.

Every Saturday morning they go feed the homeless downtown. Get plugged in.

Central Christian Church LV is a cult

My family and I used to go to Central Christian Church. I beleieve in my heart that they are a cult.

There is one particular family that is involved in everything in this church. That should be a red flag to anyone that something is desperately wrong. Once you find out and question the motives, they ban you from ever going to Central again. They will probably have this deleted because they cannot stand negative publicity about them.

They are also all brainwashed there to believe that they are the best. Please do not go to Central Christian Church they are a cult. They treat their congretation as farm animals milking them of every dollar that they have. They even milk their staff of 10 percent of their paychecks.

Don't be bitten by these wolves.

A really good church is the church of Christ on king st. In Henderson.

Right off Boulder hwy. this is a beautiful church and I’m not talking about the building. I’m talking about the people . The whole experience is so moving.

I worked at Central Cult Church for 3 months as a Security and Safety Guard. I'm a retired NYPD Police Officer Specialist with 25 years of Service with the NYPD.I worked 3 months at the so called Central Church and I dealt with members {{Redacted}}, members {{Redacted}} in the parking lot, the homeless in the area coming in and attempting to steal property and when I addressed the situation in all these incidents I was reprimanded and informed to give the criminals and immoral "Grace".

I was informed if I didn't take their 12 step classes I could lose my position. When I performed any overtime I was not paid, I was informed I "Must" volunteer time to the church. During a meeting the group was informed that first and foremost we must protect the reputation of the pastor and the church. Anyone speaking against the pastor or the cult church, that the matter should be brought to the attention of our supervisor or the pastor immediately.

Anyone speaking against the Pastor or the Church will be exiled.Their approach for their followers mimics those of Scientology.I left after 3 months because I was threaten by a church member after I brought it to the father and mother's attention that their unsupervised 3 brats are not allowed to run on the stage and splash the baptismal water, it's not their house, and they should show some respect for the church and should perform their duties as parents.

He was happy with the response he received from me after he threatened me. Afterwards I was reprimanded for not showing "Grace" and for lashing out on one of the low lives that attend the church.

I believe the Bible is a story it's hard to so long ago that it's hard to take seriously or literally. Does anyone really, truly believe a sea was parted by Moses?

Or Noah put ALL animals (2 of each) on a boat? Or someone rose from the dead?

Harry Potter is a story too....do Bible believers think there are witches and wizards? I give my money to my family and bill collectors, not a cult church.

I vote cult. Enough said.

You make me laugh. I've been going to CCC for over 15 years.

It is a wonderful family church. As far as the milking you for 10%, well, I think it is safe to assume you need to get the ole good book out and read up on that stuff.

I don't have the time or space to list all the great things are church is doing in our community and around the world. You just keep looking for another church, spread your joy.

WOW! I've been going to CCC for years and find it quite the experience for me.

I'm shocked to hear and read so many of these stories! I liked HaHa's comment about insert any church name here and you'd be talking about most churches.

Remember Matthew 10:22; -"You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved."

If it doesn't meet your needs, then find another...and pray for forgiveness. I believe this might be close to blasphemy!

Central isn't a Church. It's a corporation with the intent to make money by having the sheep who attend their"EXPERIENCE", not mass...their "SO CALLED EXPERIENCE", donate 10% of their earning to the Central company.

Friday's they have "so called" recovery group so the central company is able to receive Government funding. They have a child care center for the SHEEPS to leave their kids while the sheep attend the recovery group session, and their have been times where the men's sexual offenders group meeting is less than 100 feet from the child care area. The heads of central company instilled the Disney Blue Print of having their SHEEPS who work or volunteer for the company to constantly repeat "WELCOME TO CENTRAL" so as to leave a subliminal message in the attending SHEEPS.

The objective was that if a person hear a certain message 10 times within a short span of time that message would be burned into their memory. Is that concept the approach of a church or a cult?

What should any person or church be on those issues, Biblically if they were a believer?

Guest

It's an important question because Jesus (God) was at a wedding and didn't officiate (Matt. 2) .

He actually told his mom he didn't underastand what the fuss was all about. But baptist make a huge deal of state sponsored marriage, even though it's only purpose is to protect wealth, which God condemns.

I'd actually really like to know if this is a Church that will perform an actual, biblical marriage: one that doesn't need to be sanctioned by worldly, venal, pagan family courts but is, instead, just between God and the couple, without the State being involved at all.

Every time I hear a pastor say that the state has vested it's power in him to perform a wedding, I cringe.

That's God's power, not the state's. The state is wicked by nature.

1 Corinthians 6 - the scripture is pretty clear: asking a judge to preside over a spiritual matter between believers is forbidden:

Lawsuits Among Believers

6 If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people? 2 Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world?

And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! 4 Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church?

Rom. 13-14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. Divorce in front of a judge is nothing but two people gratifying their desires. What if they never made provision for that temptation.

Baptists are a little un-literal all the sudden when it comes to the wordy expression of love called state marriage. Well, the law doesn't require it any more. Again, according to Paul, that means it isn't required. The law doesn't require it.

The bible condemns it.

Seems like God's actually setting us free from the IRS defining what a family is.

I've been going to this church since I was very young and I am very disappointed in what it has become lately. A couple weeks ago after a very uplifting Message about getting more involved, I decided that despite having two jobs already, that I would see if I could devote some of my time to helping out by volunteering.

I do not have the means right now to give 10% of my income to the church but when I feel called to give I always have. I am trying to get rid of some things in my life so that eventually I can devote a tenth of my income to giving, so I decided to give back with my talents and time to voleenteer while I'm working on it. When I was meeting with someone to talk about voleenteering they had told me that it was mandatory for me to be in a small group to voleenteer and handed me a contract that all the voleenteers had to sign stating many things but one of them I was deeply frustrated about, which stated that I would strive to give 10% of my income. It shouldn't be a requirement in order for me to help people that I have to tithe in a trackable manner.

That is a personal decision between me a God, and secondly they lately have been doing renovations around the church and have been asking for above and beyond a tenth. I feel that that is wrong pressuring all these people which like me are just struggling with paying a tenth if that isn't pushing people away from this church I don't know what is. Like I said I have been working two jobs just to get by right now and now in order for me to help the church out and to give back I have to join a small group too. I read my bible frequently and I do not like small groups because I do not learn well in group environments I learn better reading by myself and by listening to Juds message and how it relates to life.

I do not have plans on joining a small group because it is just not for me when I was younger I was in one for 4 years and I felt like it was a waste of my time and it wasn't helping me build a stronger relationship with God it was pushing me away. Why is this a necessity in order for me to help people?

You don't have to donate 10% taking out of context from the bible. That church is brainwashing you and cares about money.

Guest

You think that's all? Wait till they control your bonus or until time for 'special contribution'.

Oh wait, how about how you date, who you date, how many times you date and what you should do/not do when you date. Also they make you obey the 'law' that church meetings are much much much more important than your company meeting, or deadline on the job, school activities, exam, mother/father's death or hospitalization, etc. They say if you did not attend church for a month, then you are no longer a member (since when did Jesus did that?????) Question them and they'll 'burn' you, making sure you never questioned again. Then when you found the right partner, how you get married, where to go for honeymoon, how much money to spend, when to buy a house (regardless of how much money you have), and how you should have 'physical' activity with you partner.

Oh yes, then when you have kids, how you should bring them up and discipline them (without respect for you or your family's background). They also persecute you when you do not have visitors, hand in a written sin list, and announce/denounce them in front of the whole congregation (with the visitors or outsiders among them), shaming you and degrading your position as a human being. They want to control every aspect of your life and your children's lives, your money, plus make (and insist) you go against your family/friends (I believe it's so you must depend on the 'church' for emotional support). There's more, much more, might fill 10 pages.

I left after 4 years, went back for about a year, then left again.....shake my head now. I should never have stepped in the church in the first place!

Regret all my life now. I'm glad I'm strong enough to stay happy and not get sucked into their invisible condemnation.

First is free worldly rock concert, then the tithe. then listen to jud talk about texas football and what his children said recently that was cute, then fill in the blanks to 4 scriptures taken out of context, then church i7 ouer.

they push their small groups off on everybody, and those whom go meet with about 4 or 5 other people to either watch a rick warren video, or a football game. those who claim that this is a fantastic church, are very likely employees there, because i can guarantee you that it is not that great at all!
