Debt Collection Fraud
I fulfilled my lease with the CENTRE POINTE APTS complex ending date 3/12/2021. The last months rent was prorated and the balance paid in full using my linked checking account using their payor portal- Conservice.
I received a statement via certified mail from their managing company Island Residential Real Estate Services. for the remaining balance of utilities $203.46. I sent a check for the remaining balance $203.46 paid in full along with the statement via certified mail. The check was cashed for the remaining balance.
Now, almost 2 months later I receive a notice from Rent Recovery Solutions with the creditor listed as CENTRE POINTE APTS stating I have a delinquent debt of $1,413.78.00. All statement balances including rent and utilities from this company were paid in full. I have scanned images of the cashed checks/checking withdrawals and statements proving this.
This notice from the creditor listed is a scam. I have no knowledge of this alleged debt.
