Update: Company has made additional FRAUDULENT CHARGES to my credit card. I did not even see them until my card company contacted me becasue they thought it was suspicious!

DO NOT deal with this company unless you want to be double/triple charged, extra charges showing up on your card, and be told to *** off if you don't like it".

Original review Mar 29, 2013

After purchasing a repair service and sending in my phone, I was told I needed to buy an unnecessary part - a $2 part that they wanted $45 for! (I know, I bought one myself) When I refused, I was told that I instead needed to purchase a second repair service instead. When I explain that I already had bought the service, they AGREED and then said I just needed to buy the part again instead. When I explained that the part was provided, the AGREED and tried to *** me into buying a second repair service again.

They've been forced to admit that I'VE ALREADY PAID for and provided everything I needed to, but they still twice tried to *** me into paying over 20x what the part should cost and twice trying to scam me by claiming I needed to buy a second repair service.

Clearly they are flip-flopping and backpedaling, struggling to find some way to cheat me by making me pay twice the advertised price in a bait-and-switch scam after fraudulently misrepresenting their repair services.

- - -

As a separate issue, they claim to be a BBB accredited business, but THEY ARE NOT! This is again fraudulently misrepresenting their business.

- - -

My third complaint is that they state it will take "24 to 72 hours for your order to be processed and shipped" - that is up to 3 days for your phone to be back in the mail on its way to you. As as my phone was delivered to them, they said it would take "3 - 5 days" just for a diagnostic, which is unnecessary because I told them exactly what's wrong and what to repair. Two weeks in, and they are holding my phone hostage in the same bait-and-switch scam.

We are very sorry that you had a poor experience with our repair services. Our pricing is simple.

We charge a flat rate of $25 for most repairs if you purchase the replacement part required from us. If parts are not needed to fix the phone that is all you pay. Keep in mind all our parts are genuine manufacture parts which are much higher quality and easier to work with than the cheap copies from China. If you choose the provide your own part the we charge double the regular labor fee and cannot provide a normal warranty since the part is not ours and we cannot guarantee the quality.

Now additionally your complaint said that we made multiple additional charges on your credit card after you refused to repair the phone!

Well that is simply not possible. We do not ever see nor have access to any of the customer financial information.

Unless you login and pay for a service on our website, which the transaction is securely processed through our merchant, we cannot ever charge you anything directly.

I hope this clears up some of the misconceptions. Please feel free to contact us and mention this listing and ask to speak with a supervisor if you need additional assistance.

Thank you.

CellularDR.com - Unprofessional and poor customer services

I made the biggest mistake of sending my phone to be fixed after reading all the reviews online. After reading the instruction on their website, I mailed my phone to the company for repairs.

Instead I received a part in the mail and my phone was still with the company. After 10 days I called customer service they told me the phone is ready but the next rep told me the phone is still in been worked on. When I expressed how unhappy I was with their service, the rep became very rude and loud with me.

I expressed I will write a review about my experience but they didn't seem to care. ***Please stay away and use someone else for your phone repairs***

In response to Misslady:

Customer purchased a charge port from our website and paid shipping. As expected when you purchase something on a website, the part was shipped out to her. A few days later the customer calls screaming at anyone she could get on the phone. We explained that she purchased a part and it was shipped out to her as expected.

Customer explained that she did not want the part and instead had mailed her phone to us for repair. Trying to make the customer happy we offered to repair her phone while she is shipping back the part she received. This way we don't have to charge her for another part, and explained that as soon as the part was received from her we will ship her repaired phone back to her.

About a week later she calls, as usual screaming at anyone she could get on the phone. We once again explained what we had previously explained, but that was not good enough for her and she expected her phone to be repaired and shipped back regardless of sending the replacement part back. She claimed that the part was already shipped back even though the tracking number shows otherwise. As a courtesy we went ahead and shipped the repaired phone back to her even though we have not to this day received the part back from her.

Keep in mind we have instructions and even video tutorials on how everything works on our website. All she had to do is actually take 2 minutes and read or watch a video. I guess the more you do for a customer the more they expect and as a thank you they leave a negative review. When you deal with thousands of customers every month you are bound to get one like this.

06/13/12 We have diagnosed your phones and the following are the current status update: Your phone with ESN #...581D will need ITEM # EVO4GChargePort and ErisRinger. And on your phone with ESN #...1C48, we have found signs of liquid, water damage. Please purchase ITEM #H2O and EVO4GChargePort so that we can perform a full extensive liquid damage cleaning on your phone and also replace the charging connector.

Simply go to our website, www.cellulardr.com and type the part number/s in the search field on our website and purchase the part/s. When checking out, it asks you: Do you have an existing order with us? YES or NO Please answer YES and type the ORDER # listed in the Subject line of this email. Also be sure to choose the 'WILL PICKUP $0.00' shipping method since you have already paid for return shipping on this order. Due to the nature of liquid damage it is impossible to predict how long the phone will continue to work and there is no warranty offered on liquid damaged phones. Thank you for choosing us for all your Cell Phone Repair needs. We look forward to hearing from you soon so that we can complete the repair on your phone and send it back to you.

06/05/12 This message is to inform you that your cell phone has been received and will be assigned to a technician the next business day. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for a full diagnostic of your cellphone. No response is required from you at this time.

Customer paid for diagnostic services and send his phone to us. We performed the services and emailed customer asking him to pay for the required parts to complete the repair.

Instead a few days later we get an email from PayPal saying the customer is disputing the charges. Customer made no attempt to call, email or contact us in any way. As a courtesy we agreed to the refund in full and recycled the phones assuming that the customer has decided to purchase replacements.

We then receive nasty calls and emails from the customer cussing and demanding the phones back.

We explained to the customer that the charges were valid since the services requested were performed and if they wanted the phones back they would have to pay the fees. Then customer went on a rampage writing the complaint you see above.

Cell lost, they got reimbursed by UPS, didn't reimburse me

Company's internet name is CellularDr.com, aka OmniCom, 6730 San Fernando Rd, Glendale, CA 91201.

Found their name on the internet (& others) & they sounded like a reliable company. Paid basic amount & sent my cell to them (I loved this old cell & it's from Verizon & since it's so old Verizon no longer has parts for them nor works on them). Then they needed more money for parts. This all started 11/23/2009. Then their site stated they had sent cell to me & I called them to tell them I didn't receive it. They had sent it UPS & so started a claim.

This company has received their money from UPS but have not reimbursed me (I had to buy a new cell phone too). They promised verbably to send me the money, but I have e-mailed them several times & they have ignored me. I only use a cell phone so it cost me money every time I call them & you hold for a while.

Since they are ignoring me I'm contacting Consumer Reports, Better Busines Bureau, their city licensing dept., state of Calif. licensing dept., Equifax & TransUnion credit bureaus. I hope it helps.

This company is probably OK if everything goes well. However, "Heaven Forbid" if there's a problem. Don't ever expect a refund. I want EVERYONE to know to beware of them & seek another company to do cell phone repairs.

UPS refused the claim and did not reimburse us for anything.

My cellphone was brand spanking new, mint condition, and got soaked in water (accidentally, was in the bottom of a baby bike trailer in which cooler overturned) at which time it stopped working. It had the red watermarks inside phone and battery so it was totally immersed. I saw CellularDr.com ad and thought I'd take a chance since they were advertising things like being able to repair dropped in coffee, swimming in a pool, etc. My phone was simply soaked in clean drinking water so I thought WTF - they for sure can fix this.

Nope. Not even close. Apparently, all they did was give the phone an alcohol bath and call it a day as they said no parts were available for my phone (a Droid Bionic). So, I was out $40 fee for the "repair" as well as my initial shipping cost. Well, they did offer me a $25 coupon to use in their online store.

Verdict: Save your cash and time and don't send your phone to these guys. I'm not gonna say its a scam, but they get your $40 regardless of whether they "fix" your phone or not. If they cannot fix a brand new phone with absolutely no damage immersed in only fresh drinking water then wtf can they fix?

Well same situation here I bought the cellphone repair services for two phones, after they received the phones I got an email asking me to buy additional services plus extra parts,I asked them to cancel the order they said is ok but I still need to pay for cleaning and diagnosting the phones,I opened a Paypal dispute and got a full refund NOW they are refusing to ship my two phones back, unless I send, a cashier check for $70 ,btw I just filed a complaint to BBB,see how it goes...cellulardr= SCAM.
