Questionable service practices

This was a couple of years ago I had a service call from t3ch worx in winder it was a bad experience. My office computer crashed, just no boot condition. Their techie came out, this person had to use google non stop on how to get my computer back online. To pay for 3 hours I could have google'd all my self. A couple of days went by I decided to call another in town repair shop explained to them what occured, they offerd to come out and double check found a couple of items that needed to be resolved to make sure this crash would not occur again they only billed me actual work time.

Terrible Customer Service & Policies

I took my phone to CPR Cell Phone Repair in Florence, Kentucky on 9/12/23, the day before I flew abroad. My screen was cracked and they were able to fix it within an hour.

The phone worked up to about 24 hours, but then the screen went black with a fragmented blue line. I emailed them right away (no response) and called from Belgium because I was in a panic being in a foreign country with no phone. Luckily, my husband flew over a few days later and purchased me one. I needed it for business.

The phone had been on me the entire time. I was in Delta One on the plane so no crowding there and my purse had a pocket slot for the phone which was in my lap the entire time or overhead bin with no other bags. There was no way I could've damaged that phone. I took it in to get it repaired under the warranty, but they said there was a surface fracture/crack along the side that looked like pressure had been applied.

That invalidated the warranty. I received a lecture by the manager with an offer of reducing my cost by 30.00 to have a new screen put on. I had already paid 147.34 for a phone that worked less than 24 hours and they wanted me to pay another 100! He was a bit condescending and said these things just don't happen on their own.

I left very unsettled. Another manager reached out named Brett from Texas to follow-up and was nice, but he could only offer the same deal. He said he would lose money and that I basically would've had to of damaged it. Now, I had this cell phone 3 years prior and never had an issue until I sent to get the screen fixed the first time.

So, I highly doubt in 24hrs I would've damaged the new screen. They should of had a screen protector or offered one anyway. So, the manager Brett went on to say it's not like Gremlins got a hold of your phone and damaged it. Ok, this is someone who claims he's been doing customer service for 10 years and he speaks to me like this?

Come on, lack of professionalism all around. As for the cost to him? Honestly, it will cost them more to lose not only my future business, but that of my family and friends and social media/business contacts. This should've been covered as a good faith gesture because in reality, it's highly unlikely someone would just have a new screen put on and damage it in less than 24 hours!

I will continue to share my experience on every site possible in hopes they don't do this to anyone else. They made me feel like the person responsible and failed to take any possible blame. I received arrogance and condescending references from both. They said they would send me a picture after my phone was repaired to compare it with what I took in.

Really? Well, they didn't. The workers, aside from the manager in Florence were nice and cordial, but he was an arrogant jerk about it and Brett in Texas, when I wouldn't take him up on his offer accused me of being condescending because I agreed to disagree. The worst company I've dealt with in my 59 years!

Though I find it amusing Vincent, the store manager used the word extortion in his reply on Yelp, it's really a joke of a business.

I asked they fix my phone for free because I am confident just as he was arrogant that I didn't do anything to this phone. Maybe the Gremlins did do it as their manager out of Texas suggested. Rude, maybe now because I've never dealt with a business who didn't go out of their way to help others. I've been very fortunate until I came across this one.

No, I don't expect them to do a darn thing, but they will lose more in the long run than if they had just repaired it. I recorded the conversation in the office (for my protection and undisclosed) , so I can easily post it online and show I wasn't rude, but disappointed in the store.

I was a bit rude only after I was insulted by Brett out of Texas when he said, "It's not like Gremlins did it". That comment would set anyone off.

I took my iPad in the store to get fixed and he told me I had to use another computer to get a iCloud account that didnt work and I want all my money back not $15

CPR did more damage from taking it there and then lost my Xbox and thank you find it and give me a back broken

Xbox x the HDMI port was broken so on August 13th my daughter bought her baby brother the Xbox to our house and paid the $180 for the HDMI repair the Xbox that my daughter brought to my son was not ours Xbox it was a white Xbox so we went back out to CPR they said they mixed the tickets up give us three days and we will fix this problem and you won't be charged but my daughter went out to pick up the Xbox when it was finished paid $180 which she shouldn't have Been charged and my Xbox the bolts are snapped in the the back and it won't work it just keeps shutting off so the kid that charged her I stopped calling out there cuz there's nothing getting done so I have a company look at my Xbox they said that you have to solder the HDMI to the board and they did a terrible job thesl ridiculous

You mean you're daughter went and paid the$170 and the Xbox wasn't even your Xbox what did they say me you went in there so when I made you come back in 3 days did you get your Xbox x and it's at work when you took it home I don't blame you I wouldn't take it back out there either somebody be paying for that

My phone says virus needs to be cleaned up

I took it in to the Verizon near the wal mart and the person cleared some of the apps but than this virus started I now need the virus cleared

*** wouldn’t fix the screen they did not put on correctly which caused humidity to get into my new iPhone 8. And irreparable damage.
