Scammed by storm restoration company

Capital construction and restoration showed up at my house after tornado to do work. Looked on line and no complaints so I took the bait.

Did roof and was done horribly, told me it would flatten out-it didn't so they repaired it a few months later. Did gutters and soffits and demanded they receive 100% insurance money. Thankfully inspector I had to pay for stated only 50% of work done. I paid they for work completed plus a little extra.

Never saw them again for weeks-said they had ran out of money because they took on too many jobs and were waiting on reimbursements. I was able to contract out my own tree work. Asked them if rest of work I could just take care of and break contract they agreed but said I would have a 20% penalty. I was told they were in no hurry to do rest of work because no profit in it.

After months a person showed up to take my screens for repair-have not seen them since. Got 1 back but it's not mine. Didn't even take right screens. Painted without prepping garage and it rained within an hour.

Stained porch and it rained on that. Paint was done when I asked not to because they had 4 months to do it and it was too cold. Drunk workers sent, incomplete work, poor workmanship, multiple no shows. Also never saw a real contractor.

Use license of some guy many counties away who is unknown.

Guy that does all work is actually just an insurance adjuster. I was caught at weak moment but want to warn others.
