No Longer CCDickson Company

People....you are no longer buying from the original CCDickson Company! The Dickson family is no longer associated in any way.

Don't be fooled. The company is was sold a few years ago by the Dickson family and is now owned by United Refrigeration out of Philadelphia, PA. They kept the name for fear of losing loyal Southern customers. Excellent service is stressed to customers above anything else, and they will and do pay higher prices.

If you don't mind passing along over-inflated costs to your customers, then this is the place to do business. I'm sure your dollars are appreciated by the owners so they can keep their jets in the air, yachts on the sea, and multiple mansions in perfect order.

Discriminated of age!

I was asked to help this little old lady because her furnace would not heat. I did this because she couldn't afford to have someone to fix it so I would check it and try to fix it for nothing. I found that the Furnace Air Pressure Switch was not triggering the switch to allow the igniter to come on to start the heat process. I took the part to CC Dickson Co in Carrollton to get a replacement part. I checked online and it was available from many suppliers for around $50, however I want her to have heat as it was going to be cold without waiting a few day to get the part. I was sure the part would be around $100 at CC Dickson Co, but I was willing to pay for it to get her heat. I took the part in and waited till everyone had been waited on and asked if they had the part. The BIG guy that waited on me took a look at me and asked who did I work for and I said no one just helping someone. He then said we don't sell parts like this unless you were with a HVAC company. I said I could buy the part online easily but it would take a few days and he said ya that's I told them although I bought an igniter from the same guy last fall. I think they discriminated me because I was 65 and did't fit their standards of a HVAC tech although I was a certified automotive HVAC tech and certified electronic tech. Don't do business with this company until they understand that people should be treated with respect and not the $$$ that's is more important than anything!

Sorry to tell you that there is no discrimination here you don't have a contractors license so they won't sell to you that's how they operate and it's posted in every store

CC Dickson refused to quote me.

We are an exporting company. I called CC Dickson in Mt. Pleasant, the closest branch to me to get a quote on a manufacture they represent; the vendor asked me a few questions, the name of my business and where we were, and after hearing my responses, decided that he didn't want to quote me and hung up on me.

As exporters, we are absolutely NO COMPETITION to this business and can not even understand that a vendor be so rude and careless about getting some business.

I will never call them again and will post a formal complaint with the manufacture they are supposed to represent: HENRY TECHNOLOGIES.

On certain quotes/purchases an EPA card is required. This may have been the cause of the refusal. The EPA can levy heavy fines on defying their wishes.

Descrimination

STEWART IS THE NAME OF THE LOCAL BRANCH ASSOCIATE IN PINEVILLE NC. USUALLY DO A BUSINESS WITH CC DICKSON, PURCHASE ALWAYS BIG QUANTIY OF VENTS FOR A PLUMBING COMPANY.

AND HAD SOME PARTS TO RETURN ONE OF THEM WAS DEFECTIVE, DID NOT HAVE THE RECIEPT AND STEWART TOLD ME THAT HE IS NOT ABLE TO HELP ME BECAUSE HERE IN AMERICA YOU NEED TO SHOW RECIEPT FIRST WHEN YOU DO A RETURN. DID NOT CARE WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY AND WAS CONTINUING TO TALK WHIT ATTITUDE.

THERE WAS A GIRL WHO ACCTUALLY FOUND MY ACCOUNT AND HELP SHOW HIM HOW YOU CAN DO RETURN WITHOUT A RECIEPT.

POOR, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...

DATE OF RETURN AND PURCHASE 03/06/2012

In situations of "warranty" you yourself must also remember to convey a "good attitude" about the product being returned, this will go along ways toward helping the process move smoothly.

CC Dickson: Poor Customer Service

I wanted to buy a 1/3 hp motor and they said I was not "qualified". I told them I was a Licensed Professional Engineer.

They said it didn't matter. Poor customer service! Beware doing business with this company. They discriminate!

I wonder if they just didn't like the color of my skin or my age (65). If you have the cash which I did, you should be able to buy something as long as it isn't illegal.

This is probably a violation of the commerce clause of our constitution. Maybe I'll ask a lawyer if this is legal.

They're getting as bad as Johnstone Supply up here. I'm sorry this happened to you.

They treated me the same way in Greenville, and I'm white and in my 30s and look like a typical HVAC goon.

I was trying to buy a 1/2 HP motor. Ended up getting it from Amazon instead, probably for cheaper too.

Just buy off the internet and screw CC Dixon.

If you're not certified by EPA and not a contractor, boycott all you want, you don't belong in there to begin with.

Absolutely right Skip.

You have to be a "Contractor and/or EPA Certified" Company policy, working in the HVAC field myself, their rules protect us from homeowners and other people undercutting the business. I applaud C.C. Dickson for sticking to their guns.

CC Dickson sells to unlicensed people all the time and at they same price they sell to us a licensed contractor. They actually quoted an oil furnace to one of our customers who walked into the store, cheaper than the price they gave me. We have homeowners in our area that will by the parts at CC Dickson then call us to install it.
