Refund

I just signed up for this $00 program to pass the COMPTIA A+ .

Through doing the studying, I've realized the no questions in the exam are there in the curriculam and the courses are outdated. I paid 200 dollars and after 2 weeks they asked for 300 dollars and they discontinued by online courses.

I called may times to return my money Now they send to collection agency to get the money.

They took my 200 dollars and didn't give the service as

they promised.

When I joined the courses, the representative

promised me that this curriculam is updtodate.

The accounting department wanted to get money

without giving the service.

CBT wanted to get the money from the customers without'

giving the service.

I requested to return 500 dollars including the exam fee.

I would NEVER keep someone's money if they cancelled. What a scam.

I paid 1000$ for business analysis . It was just basic stuff.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY..

Could not even pass the certification exam with their content.

Udemy is much better and less expensive. Dont waste your money here.

I just signed up for this $600 program to pass the COMPTIA A+ exam last month. However, my major has changed.

Through doing the studying, I've realized this area of study is not for me. I have not reason to go on and study for or sit for this certification. I called customer service thinking they would be understanding. I've only paid $100 of the $600.

$100 per month will come out each month until it's paid off. But they don't seem to care." No warranties for my circumstances", he said. Absolutely ridiculous. Any service should refund your money if the service is being cancelled.

An item being returned, and so on. It's just good business. This company has decided to scam me out of $600 for doing NOTHING! I'm disgusted.

I have my own photography business. I have people pay up front to book photo shoots.

I would NEVER keep someone's money if they cancelled. What a scam.

CBT is a scam. They told my secretary that there was a free 1 month trial and forged his signature on a different document.

I never used their services but got charged over 2,000.00 and they are even trying to collect on future charges. These *** should be jailed and shut down. I'm going to spend a lot of time bringing them down but it will be a great thing as I take their tactics and arrogance about their deceptive business practices personally and I won't go away.

Not now and not ever. They are going to wish that they never screwed with me fraudulently and if they were not so arrogant about it I might not have got a permanent grudge against their highly deceptive and fraudulent business practices.

Your name is deleted from the course you signed up for.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Spoke with Chase Perkins today and found out the reason I was deleted was that I had a one year to finish the course. This was never discussed when I signed up a year ago and paid $400.00 to start the course.

I would have never signed up as I would unable to finish it and work full time.

When I spoke with Chase today he said I could pay another $200.00 dollars for the last 10 courses or Pay another $400.00 for the whole again. And there was no mention of the time limit again that I would have to finish the course.

Not worth the money

I enrolled on one of their CompTIA online courses and I was disappointed. First, their content was severely outdated.

Second, not enough hands on assignment (the few that were present were pretty simplistic in nature). Third, their quizzes/test had no variation (same exact questions and in the same order). Fourth; the network course had more "how-to's" tutorials rather than explaining the concept of Networking itself.

Ironically enough, I actually passed my exams (despite going in with a low expectation).

You can be sure that I will definitely not recommend this company to anyone as I believe it is not worth the money.

I recommend getting a Sybex book or consult with Professor Messer. It is cheaper and better

Cbt Direct Online Training Course Review from Orlando, Florida

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I knew it. With all the " you need to do it today to save a ton of money" ***.

It's a scam. The training is more basic than a book. They said it had " Hands on". No it doesn't.

This is such a regret. I purchased because they said I can make $80k after 6 months. They started at $2,400 for a 1 year unlimited to any course and 30 mins later because I couldn't afford $2,400 that they will get it approved for only $999 if I do it today.

I did it because I thought that I was saving $1,400. Worst most boring training on the planet.

Just don't do it

Bought the CompTIA A+, 220-801 & 220-802 catalog. I spent 2 months, almost on a daily basis working through the courses going through each section (801 & 802) TWICE and while I did learn a lot; the information provided in these courses is loaded with typos and misinformation.

When taking tests at the end of each individual course, several times, I ran into questions and answers that didn't correspond with the study material. For example when asked to match the characteristics of the 802.11a standard, the study material shows that 802.11a only operates in the 5GHz spectrum, but during testing (provided with CBT's catalog) when I provided the answer "5GHz" it illustrated that my answer was incorrect and indicated the correct answer as 2.4 GHz. I guess you can Google that and see that the correct answer should in fact be 5GHz. This is just one example and is a frequent occurrence with their material.

Lastly, when taking Testprep again provided by CBT Direct, at the end of 220-801 I was faced with questions that weren't even addressed in their study material, completely foreign to the information they provided.

I ended up purchasing 2 A+ books to work in conjunction with the CBT material and did pass my certification tests but when you pay hundreds of dollars ($756.00 to be exact) for something you don't expect you'll have to go outside of that to improve your chances. I won't use CBT Direct again as I continue my career.

Be careful. I worked there for 7 years selling IT Training and never had even one student out of the hundreds that I signed up.

Not one person had enough content in the courses to pass any test. Just couldn't keep working for them anymore.

CBT Is Probably a Scam

I have run into the same problem with CBT Direct. If I had known, I would have had my son download the lessons.

Now, I am out the money I have paid. My solution- I am going to write an intense article on my blog about them, and I am going to take them to small claims court here in Nevada.

Not only that, but their salesman sneered that my son, whom he does not know!, had plenty of time to finish the courses, but the good news is, he has more products to sell me!!! What a tool- his name is David Walling and the other saleswipe is Jeff something.

Download the course on your hard drive.

CBT deactivated my account after one year. It is written in your agreement that you only have a year to complete your course work.

Even after your pay your money you can not continue with their training unless you have downloaded the training to your hard drive. I spoke with Jason worthy, who was suppose to be the customer service manager and he was just out right rude. To the point where I had to ask if was truely the custmer service manager. I could not believe how he could careless about my problem.

He actually made a statement that, "It is what it is!" He was just so unprofessional and dishearting.

If he represent CBT Direct Services. I would definately not recommend this company service to anyone!!

I was scammed into the IT program by CBT

I too have experienced the scam by this company, I received a phone call after seraching the web for A+ certification courses, was told that their was 447 new jobs within 25 miles of my house, and salaries were starting in the $75,000 to $85,000 range, ad for project managers starting at $130,000. I was told of a program where they had a company that prepaid for 6 of their employees but 3 of them had moved on to other companies, and their GM said they could use these funds for other students, and was given the option of a 1 year ulimited program for $1800. or 2 years for $2400. , after saying that I would do the 1 year, they told me of the company they use to finance their schooling which is GE Money, I was approved, after reading all of the bad about this company decided to cancel, according to the 3 day right to cancel law, agreement signed on thursday, I called to cancel on sunday to find that they were closed I called the next business day, to be told I could not cancel because it was four days, explaining to them that they was closed, they tried to tell me that I should of left a message. And that they would not refund my money.

I contacted the BBB of florida and filed a complaint with them, also contacted GE Money, have reported this as fraud, this company is representing iself as a school, also learned thet GE Money financing is to be used for Medical bills, not IT. Waiting to gather more. I am looking into filing a law suit against this company, and I am onboard with a class action law suit, if anyone in floriday could help lay the gound work that is from that area would make things easier.

Thanks

Anybody that claims CBT Direct is not a scam such as Jeremy they either work for CBT or throw some loose change to do positive review..There is a noticeable pattern here, same scam, will not use them again they suckered me of $1000 and tried another $1000 for their unlimited everything.

Guest

I spoke to a "Tammy". she told me everything that is discused above.

this is a scam... I started a comapny that deals with scam companys.

if any body has qustions or concerns regarding this topic. you can contact me at marksz28@***.com

They guy I talked to was not pushy at all. I told him I was going to think about it and give him a call the following week. He told me to take the time and think about it. I know there have got to be more good things about this company then that of which is on this page.

One I read said they got their Certs in a reasonable amount of time. If you only search for " is this business a scam" that is all that you will see. People complaining that they got scammed.

Just because you were not motivated enough to get do the courses does not mean that they scammed you. They only guarantee the material for one year. Material changes every year.

Do the research yourself and don't take fools opinions.

Just wanted to let you all know I had the same experience, I sent a note for more infor on A+ certification, I was offered the great deal of $1600 for a full year of unlimited courses guaranteed to make you pass the certification test, however all of that is addicional and not with them. Something did not sound right, so I backed out of it just on time, only to have a very ungry salesman on the line. BIT THIS CBT!!

BEWARE THEY ARE OUT TO GET YOU

Guest

I paid to take the course I am a single parent so working full time w/ a toddler and doing classes on-line was a little tuff but I was going at a decent rate finsihing each class and practice test 8). Almost 8 months after doing th course I get a Call from CBT telling me they changes the course and Im studing the wrong material :eek.

I figured they were just telling me they were going to update my courses but instead they wanted MORE money to give me the correct "uptodate" class :?. I was not giving them another dime!

I was VERY upset that I wasted time and money on this so called School!! :( I could have used that money for other stuff

Guest

:( Stay away from these liars.

Their "enrollment" agreement is actually a financing agreement, and if you lose your ability to pay (get laid off or whatever), they will throw you into a collection account within 60 days. You will have a collection account on your credit, you will be cut off from the course, AND STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE COLLECTION ACCOUNT!!!!

They will say whatever you need to hear to get you to sign, but they will NOT stand by their promises. They do NOT care about their customers or their education. They just want their money, and will *** whatever way they can to get it.

Search the internet for CBT Direct. Make SURE you read ALL the consumer notes on them.

THEY ARE ALL TRUE.

Guest

Once you get suckered in and find that their study information is second rate, they won't let you cancel. The only option is to take the cert exam and fail it twice then, and only then, do you get a refund.

They say a lot of "can't" do this and "can't" do that.

Well, I can't promote their scam business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Hi,

this just happened to me. I cannot cancel the course. They don't want this.

I don't have time to complete the course, to fail the tests and only after that, to get a refund.

What can I do?
