Fellowes Shredders
- - Shredder failed after shredding two baskets and a credit card; it's a 2014 refurbished unit, out of warranty, with a $186 circuit board.
DO NOT PURCHASE a FELLOWES Brand Shredder! I purchased one online - supposedly New - shredded about 2 baskets full of documents then an old Credit Card.
The shredder hasn't worked since the Credit card. The electronic circuit board has failed. I called the 800 customer service # in hopes to get a part or have it replaced. Been waiting for 2 weeks for an answer - No answer - So I called them back this morning - They tell me that it's a factory refurbished unit - manufactured in may of 2014 - out of warranty and already been repaired!
They refuse to send out a replacement unit and want $186.00 for a circuit board! The shredder cost $170.00. Please remember to NOT Purchase a FELLOWES Brand Shredder!
