Upholding the wrong role models
Things are better on the the knocking, but there are still too many examples of reverse discrimination. Right now, the most disconcerting thing is that the senior director JH also considers the sexworkers here as top of the career ladder.
She pays them special attention, considers them as extra-meritorious. She told another resident that she does hold biases, but so what. Here is the what about it. First, there is the civil rights laws which blcks fought so hard for, that should equally apply to ALL persons here.
Second, her role as director means she is supposed to set a good example, not upholding degenerate values. Third, anyone knows this industry is rife with slavery-mentality, exploitation, drug use, and gangsterism. Does it not defeat the purpose of this facility which is supposed to help returning citizens? Fourth, we have straight poor older women here who have never broken the law since this is permanent supportive housing.
Their safety and security is threatened if they are being told, effectively, that they are second-class. Fifth, of course it conveys the same mixed-messages that the CC also advances, which is that the bottom line is always who donates the most. Maybe the house earns double in government funding from returnees, but that is because they are supposed to be on the track to rehabilitation, not the opposite. Sixth, if this place is normalized as a safe-house without rehabilitation then it sends the message that this is a nice base for sexworkers.
What is the vision for this home? They are so busy with paperwork every day, taking training, and yet it is only for the sake of appearances. When we point out that based on "Faces and Reflections" from Maryle Ashley this house was once run more like Miriam's Kitchen, including offering sensitivity training for working with poor people, we are met with no response. Seventh, no response or ambivalence is designed to be divisive.
Furthermore it allows a deconstructive agenda to move forward. For instance, last week, the director took a whole box of these Maryle Ashley's "Faces and Reflections" booklets to be thrown out in the alley. These were a limited edition one-time self-published set of booklets, but they were printed with a good cardstock, and deserving of preservation--Ashley did work for the Library of Congress, after all. When I told her these booklets would be nice for a reading group, we could read and discuss the essays, she asked if I had found a new teaching job yet.
Obviously no ideas on using these booklets, recommendations for sharing with the public or the Georgetown internship program. If I had not pulled out about 10 of these books, Maryle Ashley would be turning in her grave. Eighth, lack of progress means essentially providing a setting of sliding backwards. A sitting bureaucrat does nothing for the future advancement of America.
If they are divisive they are doing the devil's work.
Inefficiency, lack of leadership, insincerity, deviousness, indifference will turn this area into a biomimicry of San Francisco or Los Angeles. In fact, in San Francisco alone, per recent California Insider interview with past mayor Frank Jordan, has spent billions of dollars over the last several years addressing homelessness...

Restraining order needed against
Since the deaths of two residents they instituted a Knock on Door Daily policy at MT Carmel House. In concept it seems caring.
In practice it is a very bad idea. Residents already sign out every time they leave the building & sign in when they return. So any resident "missing" all Stephanie Ford has to do is check the sign out book located 10 feet from her desk! Second she is actually racially profiling me as a nonblack.
I have documented how they harass nonblacks here extensively. She comes to this floor (only 3 floors here) and specifically knocks only on my door. When I ask why only mine, she says "I already know they are here!" She tried the key and was about to come in. I was busy and couldn't answer, and she said, "You're supposed to answer me." Sometimes she tries two times a day knocking on my door.
That is stalking and illegal entry! The staff let her do whatever she wants because this place has been her only job as program coordinator forever. She apparently can see through her closed office door that my black neighbors are always around. But the truth is this person (like the previous SW) loves to snoop in people's rooms.
As a nonblack we are pre-identified as fair game. Well they break into black residents rooms too. However I believe what SF is really after is trying to bully, intimidate, "break" me, because she has no college degree whereas I have several. SF is a very buxom well built type---she hits it off with all of JB's many "boyfriends." So actually there's a "bad" subculture here and that's another reason she wants to "break" me.
I have reported this to Washington Legal Clinic to no avail. They are another somewhat worthless bunch. The point is this place is run like a prison camp and the staff take pride to act like they are prison wardens, except here blacks are rewarded for bad behaviour while good people are harassed and shamed. I should file a restraining order, but it takes time.
Meanwhile I am doing my best to document and share these disgusting BLM worldview attitudes.
A perspective that "I don't talk to you because you are not black!" when we live in one house, I do just as many if not more chores, and have done my best to spread christian love and goodwill. They are really that shallow & close-minded!

Mt Shernell House
They should rename to Mt Shernell in memory of second resident who has passed away in less than a year. Both deaths somewhat a mystery.
Shernell came to this house as a frail elderly AfriAm. She'd had a stroke previously and due to limited mobility they placed her on the first floor which was good. She had easier access to kitchen and bathroom. Even then she was a little feeble in mind and anyone could see she either needed daily attention or should be prioritized for rapid rehousing.
All residents are assigned a chore unless incapacitated. The staff assigned her to take out the trash--- an unpleasant twice a day chore that is not easy! Carrying and dragging out the kitchen trash, the bag would break and the contents spill down the steps. I voluntarily helped her but would end up washing the stairs for her as well.
After repeated requests staff finally realized chore was too much for her. They hardly ever paid much attention to her, even when she lived on the first floor. After COVID struck, the staff in fear of the illness, moved the two residents (Shernell) to SECOND floor. This made it very difficult for Shernell to have to climb stairs to get to kitchen.
Already she was so timid she spent most of the day hiding in her room, cooking or more like microwaving a frozen dinner at 3am. AFTER the forced move to SECOND floor the staff paid even less attention to her. Her room was tiny and cramped. She hid inside even more.
I spoke up for her numerous times such as filling room request form to switch to a bigger room. There is a room nearby that the resident pays rent but is a ghost resident. They would not reassign her. Shernell told me she lost her ID and had documents taken from her that were not returned from her previous residence.
Staff ET repeatedly told me, "I appreciate your concern but Shernell is a tough woman, she can take care of herself." Shernell's ID was not replaced, after all the attitude was that she was tough enough to do everything herself! They told me that again after I told them Shernell had a break in to her room and money $400 was taken. I told them who the suspect might be because I do recall who visited her room and I thought it was odd, but the suspect had very cleverly made it sound like she was invited into the room. Again staff merely said that Shernell "would not have that much money in her room" but they were looking into it.
ET was going to remind me again how tough Shernell was, so then I told her actually she was so unhappy she had begun drinking in her room. That seemed to have awaken alarm bells but still nothing was done. Shernell's dead body was discovered on 02/01/2021. Monday in her room.
Police came but it took several hours for staff to arrive due in part to snow. Shernell came to this home hoping to transition to senior housing in DC. She had been here just over a year. Even though she was frail all the residents liked her.
It was just she was that age she liked to sit and talk with others her age. Even the staff seemed to have little time and patience. But the saddest part is unlike when the previous resident passed, the staff ET made a big show of reaching out, offering grief counseling, now she is utterly silent! It's because the responsibility for the first death fell on the director, and that person resigned.
Now ET knows she is partly responsible so she is acting like no one has died! No notes posted on board, no vocal reach out, no recognition or even trying to suppress any expressions of mourning! This is so awful it is unbelievable. Shernell came to our home for hope but instead she sunk to the lowest depths of despair!
And just so it's clear, she was my neighbor! (I'm only giving this 3 stars because it's my duty to make sure it gets posted)

Too bad about director
A lady passed away a month ago and it was kind of Covid related because since March we have been on lockdown. Its hard to address issues as a group with no group meetings.
There are new residents who feel or act orphaned because they need direct support. The LCSW has been very good but their hours were cut. Some are no longer working due to cutbacks at temp agencies. The ladies who have been here a long time are sometimes the meanest, like chasing people out of the kitchen, yelling at them, or twofacedness real sugary with the staff and headgames with peers.
The coordinator here is well intentioned but susceptible to favoritism because of common class bonds.
She is lucky to be what might be considered an exceptional protected learning class. With no library open it can be demoralizing listening to the beastly sounds day & night from upstairs timed and located with crafty predictability.

Grateful for *** life
The SW is okay. It has taken 2+ years to get used.
One of the worst left. They let me change to a nicer room. You just learn to keep to yourself. Theres only one illicit worker really but she shares what she gets to keep.
The ladies have some mental but they dont steal or commit bad crimes. The one woman I have a problem with is this night owl who just wanders the halls at night, sits on the steps outside smoking for hours, sits in kitchen texting, and just creeping around. Donald Trump is her God too. Donald Trump soldered in red letters on glasses, sweaters, jackets, etc and very adamant about it too.
So she really has some passive aggressive issues probably dissociativej. She has control issues about me because she keeps cleaning the bathroom after I clean it as the assigned chore. I do a good job but she acts like its not good enough and mutters about stuff. And having a colorful trailor trsh record she just hates on people or else insists on turning them into her sidekicks.
She accusjed one gal of making a pass at her but I am convinced it was more the other way around. Anyway I tried to do a search on her and ver strange her name does not come up at all. I do searches occasionally to discover if they had a record. One gal, white, she was pretty nice but she would also wander and from the record its clear she has some schiz mental outages.
She seemed to disappear from this place too. Well this gal AA her initials has no record and i am certain because the name sounds fake to begin with that she's using an alias. So thats really kind of *** Severe mental issues, physical issues, and using an alias. I have to play nice but I also wont let my guard down.
She even showed me pictures of her when she lived in a canvas style tent near the White House. You want ask why she didnt get an invite from the groper. She's not that bad looking for 60s. But the other *** part is her alias name is jewish.
So she is some kind of jwish cracker, and I just cant figure why she had to get homeless. Is she a mole? Where is her stock portfolio?
Why isnt she living like in Bethesda? And she loves loves loves Xmas!

Intolerable environment
This is supposed to be permanent supportive housing but they run it like a *** hole. All the signs of resident evil is here: arrogance, aggression, intolerance, impatience, impulsitivity, gossip, hate, anger, bullying.
The staff fan the flames of evil and hate. The idea resident is totally medicated, wears a bathgown all day, watches tv bet, originally from congo. If you are a normal college educated unless you are congolese in origin you will deal with a lot of stress living here.
They do everything to try to take you down instill fear and make your stay miserable. ***

Its called narcissistic bullying. They always choose someone who they gain maximum power trip to feed off of like energy vampires because they lack true spirituality (goodness).
I know someone like this here whose eyes are dark and soulless. She likes to choose me because I have an exceptional background that she is envious about. You must be brave, thick-skinned, and psychologically prepared to defend yourself. And pray for them too.

Anyway the knocking has been reduced. It's a gradual improvement you just have to try and stay positive.
How is your loss $1000? Be specific. Major horrible bad karma back at you if you can’t provide proof for your claimed loss.
They also have a security camera cctv system set up to replay anywhere the exits are. The point is she knows exactly that you go out to water or check the garden at least once a day.
She KNOWS you are well and about but she WANTS TO FORCE YOU TO RESPOND. So the concern about your being "alive still" is a big con game used to manipulate.
