As soon as my daughter and i got to the boat, the employee told us to leave the luggages in the front. I had paid for commodore tickets
So I expected to leave first but since my luggage was in the front. We were one of the last passengers to pick the luggage and leave the boat.

- Overbooking and monopoly led to the worst possible service for paying customers.
We got bumped from our return ferry without notice & without cause (reason given is total *** Absolutely worst customer service experience. Having a monopoly on transportation to & from the island doesnt give this company the right to treat paying customers as if theyre second rate citizens.
You overbooked your boat & were paying the consequences. Literally.

This review has never been acknowledged by Catalina Express.
Several times during the week, while either dropping someone off, or picking someone up, I observed the bartender using his cell phone while on duty. This seems unprofessional, as I felt like I would be interrupting his business.
It seems like service employees should be at the ready to SERVE clients, and not be too busy with anything but taking care of clients' needs and wants. Especially in this economy, with most of us lacking "disposable" income, businesses that provide luxury services should be very careful to take care of clients who can sill afford luxury.
Prices are high, and most people think twice about spending these days. I would want my clients to feel good about paying high prices, by providing first class service and attention to detail.
