Verified Buyer
The Catalin Store destroyed my radio cabinet and took absolutely no responsibility.
I hired this company to restore my vintage radio cabinet. I received my restored radio cabinet in 4 BROKEN PIECES.
My original cabinet was solid. I was excited to find out that the brownish green cabinet was actually blue but had oxidized and The Catalin Store assured me they would do an amazing restoration to bring back the blue color.
Prior to beginning the restoration process, the Catalin Store inspected the radio and reported: A physical review of the Catalin cabinet confirms there are no defects to report...Full payment is required before the project commences."
Some time after sending the payment, I received an email with this message: The polishing wheel caught on the Catalin and within an instant a crack occurred...We do not accept any liability for damage from restoration projects."
Prior to hiring the Catalin Store to restore my radio, I asked about the risk of damaging the radio cabinet during the restoration process, Bill Whelen from The Catalin Store laughed and said that may have happened 20 years ago but not now. See the letter I received regarding the damage.
