Insurance company lied to us

We had a no fault bump with my wife's car and we asked the insurance company before processing the claim not to proceed with any claim on our behalf if it would affect our renewal rates or ability to gain insurance at the full discount rate. We were told we would be OK and do not to worry about any of this because it was a no fault claim, so we proceeded.

The company has now increased our renewal premium and 4 months on left an open claim we can not have removed from our record. This means our price for insurance has gone up by £90.
