Scamers that don't even give you the free gifts after the presentation
This company is also known as Royal Palm Inc., Sealand, All inclusive excursions. I went to court today as a witness to their scam. Adriam Miller is the owner. I really don't know how he sleeps at night. Even though we did not buy, I attended the hearing just to see justice done. Unfortunatly there was a technicality and the hearing for contempt did not take place. Greg Abbots office currently has an injuction against Royal Palms and they should not be practicing this scam anymore. When we attended this presentation, we were promised two free airline tickets. $300 at local stores, $50 american express cash card, $30 Red Lobster or two other places. We often attend time share presentations for the free items and we do get great stuff for free. This was not the same. while the guy is trying sell us on the idea, we both get out our phones and start googleing the name. Haha we got, scam, rip off, and some other negative words. We confronted the sales guy right there with what we had found. We also asked to see the contract. What a joke that was. Anyone who read it would know the whole thing is a scam. Sadly 3 out of the 4 couples fell for it. One was even a pastor. There is a court date set for April 14th 2010 Dallas, George Allen building, 600 commerce st. You can contact Kelly Slaughter. Make sure you file a complait with the Attorney general. You can do this online. I too want to stand outside the builing and warn others.
They do a great job for me!
I am a member of the Castaways Vacation Club and I have had nothing but good luck with them. They are responsive, helpful and very nice people. I have read a lot of negative stuff about them on the Internet but I can't see that it has any truth to it based on my experience. I use them every time I travel and they always save me hours of hassle looking for my own flights and hotels. Their staff is very knowledge about which hotels to stay in and which ones to avoid. One lady even gave me a great tip about a very nice restaurant in Miami that I would have never found on my own. I would recommend them to anyone and I do recommend them often. J Sterling
Discount Vacation Club Castaways
My husband and I were asked to come to a seminar about discount travel clubs. We were promised two free airline tickets just for attending. When we went, we were presented a program about incredibly inexpensive travel plans. There was a hard sell with the "do it today or lose your chance of this great deal." We signed up and have been regretting it ever since. The contract could not be cancelled, and we really feel ***. We have looked at the website, but the "deals" are not better than what everyone can get. Oh, and the free tickets for airlines would cost $50 each for "taxes." What a huge rip-off. If anyone calls you about this, run the other way! We are living a nightmare trying to get out of this!!
