- Accidentally bid $36,501 instead of $26,501 on a 2015 Green Challenger; reserve was $32,000.
- A buy fee of $1,825.01 was nonrefundable; unwind denied.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Cars and Bids sent a full refund.
Be careful bidding as 1 wrong click can cost you alot of money. Take your time bidding despite the clock reset is under 1 minute.
I immediately called the seller and explained and he understood. I offered the $26,501 we meant to bid and seller told me that bid of $26,501 would not buy the car as reserve was $32,000. We agreed to unwind the deal. I offered to pay his entry but luckily there was no entry fee.
I contacted cars and bids and they basically told me to bad either we follow through with the deal or we are banned and our $1825 buy fee was non refundable. I explained we would call our credit card and fight it...They were quick to say to bad we have a team to fight that. This is a obvious mistake that anyone with decency would make right. You can see its an obvious mistake!

There is no Telephone number to call so they hide behind emails and play keyboard cowboy! *** Instead of doing the right thing Alexis the client support manager booted us and robbed $1825.01 .
I explained we buy a lot of cars and you would make thousands more from us on buy fees in the future. We have bought 2 cars on your site already and 26 cars on Bring a Trailer (same screen name as in here: elongo) who by the way have a telephone so you can talk to a person unlike this company that hides behind a keyboard telling customers TOO bad I tried and warned Alexis I would do everything I could to show your business practices on social media and was still told too bad! Now everyday on Instagram I post a new story from one of the many people you have treated unfairly showing my followers they should not do business with youAll this over $1825.15Shows your company cares more about money than customer service. Terrible business sense as if any real business person looked at the big picture they would have seen it was a mistake and realized they had more to gain/lose then the $1825.01.
I hope this letter gets to someone in upper management so they can see the bad decision making of their management team. Hope it was worth the $1825.01!
