Stay away from this place...
We bought a used car for our twins going to UF last summer and I looked for a place that I could feel comfortable taking it to. The car is a Saab, which many of you might not know much about and apparently neither does Carrmisth. I took it to them for the first oil change after being up there for a couple of months, they gave a price of $69.99 with Mobil 1 synthetic oil and filter, and said that since I was a new customer they would do a free check-up, to what I happily consented. Well, after waiting in the office for about 30 minutes while they printed their report, the bill came in at closer to $100.00 than the $69.99 or whatever it was but I did not complain since it seemed they were very thorough with the report they handed me (4 or 5 pages long). The person taking care of me went over the report with a fine tooth comb. I thought they had done an MRI, an EKG, and a full body X-ray o the car after listening to everything they had done and the recommendations they had to fix the "problems" they found. First problem: a little moisture in the brake fluid, $165.00 to flush and refill, did it myself for $20.00 in under an hour. Second problem: main oil seal has a small leak, nothing to worry about now, but it should be fixed, they estimated about $650.00. While the car was in Miami a couple months ago, I decided to do another oil change myself, put the car on ramps and when I get under it, I could not take the oil pan screw out because i was STRIPPED, now, with such a comprehensive test (and supposed oil change) didn't they see that? I truly and honestly believe they did not change the oil, or the oil filter (I don;t think they even know where it is). And get this, two weeks ago I took the car to a Saab mechanic in Hollywood to replace the serpentine belt (nothing wrong with it) just for preventative maintenance, so while the car was up on the lift, I commented the main oil seal issue to the mechanic, who proceeded to show me where the seal is which is clean as a whistle and NOT LEAKING. My advise is stay clear of this place, I rather push the car back to Miami for repair than go there again.

Carrsmith screwed me
I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. If you want poor customer service, charges for technician's mistakes, lies, & to get your car back in worse condition than you left it, take your vehicle to Carrsmith. I don't know about you, but when I take my car to be repaired, I expect prompt, timely communication and status updates, fair prices, and superior customer service. Where do I begin?! My Jaguar wouldn't start; Carrsmith came up online as a Jaguar repair shop & I had gotten the oil changed there before. Had the car towed to Carrsmith. They ran diagnostics for two days, couldn't figure anything out. When ever I wanted a status update I had to initiate the call. There were a couple times when I called that I got excuses, like we're so busy, blah, blah, blah. This may sound selfish, but if my car is being repaired, all I care about is MY CAR. You are a business; if you are a decent business, you should be used to be being busy while still being able to provide excellent customer service and helping ease the mind of the often frustrated and frazzled customer! I communicated primarily with Lisa. Ken is a true horror; he doesn't have a clue. He told me Jaguars are just complicated and expensive, when I asked him questions about the condition of my car after diagnostics, he didn't take responsibility for anything. What he should have been saying was that they did not have the expertise to fix my car and they would recommend I take it somewhere that can fix it. But, I digress . . . I was initially told diagnostics was $100, then told they had to do "extensive" diagnostics which would be $300; I refused to authorize $300 diagnostics at that dump! I went on justanswer.com to communicate with a live Jaguar technician. I forwarded that info to Ken and Lisa via email. They never responded to me, but I checked with the technician working on my car and he said they tried those suggestions, it didn't work, and he didn't know what was wrong with the car. Neither Ken nor Lisa has EVER admitted that they could not fix the car. They finally figured out what was wrong with the car and told me total repair would be $1176, which I couldn't afford. We were all set to fix the major issue for $804. The day I was going to pick the car up, I get a call that there was another issue found and the new price was $949, fine. It was a Friday and I was told parts would arrive on Monday and the car would be ready Monday afternoon. I get a call Monday that they ordered the wrong part and I had to pay for the mistake, to the tune of an extra $150 AND car wouldn't be ready until Tuesday (eight days after I had it towed there). As soon as I could, I returned the ant-infested loaner car they gave me (with no gas might I add) & had the car towed to another AAA-approved auto repair shop in town (read my review of Continental Imports). By the time my car left Carrsmith, all of the rear and trunk panels were misplaced and in a disarray, wires were hanging, sound wouldn't work, gas level was down by nearly half, and most importantly, it still wouldn't start! They charged me $75 for the diagnostics before I had it towed away. Beware!!
