CARPORT TURNS OUT TO BE LEAK-PORT INSTEAD
- - Purchased a 30x27 carport; payment was prompt.
- - Panels were installed wrong and leaked along seams; warranty via Eagle Carports was 30 days.
Purchased a 30 by 27 carport in March 2018. Payment was prompt.
No rain for several months, then first rain found metal roof panels were installed overlapping the wrong way and roof leaking like a sieve along seams. Contacted Carport.com who transferred me to another company they sub-contracted (Eagle Carports) who in turn told me not under warranty any longer (only good for 30 days). I want the public to know of this company's deceptive practices and to be aware of them. First off the warranty should cover defects in workmanship that become obvious only when the weather produces rain to show the defect.
Second the company should be more forthcoming in regards to use of sub-contractors so that customer has knowledge of such arrangement beforehand. Third any entity that is this lacking in integrity should not be allowed to sell.
