Fobbed off again according to carpetright and there supplier this carpet shades so this is what you call shading so in other words we have your money tough
After being a loyal customer of carpetright for years I find that now they have been taken over this company and its customer service couldn't care less about its customers,I find the bill they now print out ( not the contract you sign ) is different on the back in the terms and conditions it says if you order from the shop are binding so you can't cancel it the sales assistant doesn't say anything about shading to you they just tell you the size and name of the carpet before they fold it and put it in a wallet.
When you get home you find they have printed on the receipt about the carpet being prone to shading,you put a complaint into the manager after 6 weeks nothing done just being fobbed off so go to customer services they give you someone called Samuel who doesn't even keep you up to date on anything you have to keep chasing him for updates then he tells you it's shading, it's your fault for picking this carpet. I now see that this company doesn't care about its name, customers as soon as they have your money that's it.
I will never purchase anything from this firm again,don't use this firm I will make sure everyone I know doesn't either as there is no customer service instead of the customer being right its carpetright conning people

My ordered was delayed to delivery over 3 weeks now and still no sign. They told me they are not sure when the order can be delivered because they can not get my order details and can not get into the suppliers system.

- - Everything was moved from the room; it's hard for a disabled person.

They broke my door but never told me. They 3xpected EVERYTHING moved from the room, yet how is a disabled person meant to move sofas from a room?
The manager had the gift of the gab talking the talk twisting his words to place the ownship back on yourself. You call customer service but they're a waste of time because they just redirect the call to the store where you purchased the carpet, so you end up going back around in circles.
The door in the bedroom is so stiff I'm unable to open and close it with ease but carpetright will not resolve this.

Booked a day's holiday to have my carpet fitted and the fitter didn't turn up!!!! I even double checked at lunch time that the fitter was definitely coming that day and was assured that he was!!
Got a call at 6pm today he wasn't going to make it - I complained to the Store Manager and was told that the Fitter dates are only an estimated date?????!!!!!!
Really??!!! So I booked a day off for no reason, emptied my room of all furniture in prep for the fitter for absolutely no reason - it's only an estimated date???
Shocking service and this company don't offer any compensation for my loss of earnings that day!!

I recently bought carpet and vinyl for a whole house from Carpetright Norwich and was overall very disappointed with the level of service and attention to customer satisfaction. This company feels very outdated and due for major systems/staff training overhaul or buy out by PE private equity and upgrading.
The range of products is very extensive and pricing very competitive due to size and bulk buying no doubt and their is very little competition (did not find Topi range extensive enough, local traders overpriced or booked solid) and that makes them a dominate market player but apart from the that, the sales process, measuring and ordering, customer information and support, payment, help desk etc is appalling and feels like 1990's levels of customer service in modern day customer focused Britain. I am a property developer and will need flooring options for multiple properties in future but would seriously try to avoid using Carpetright unless I see a major overhaul of the brand or complete rebranding/buyout and would welcome a major new player in that space.
Interested to here any informed views on possible PE takeover or new competition in this market, is it just too difficult to compete in this market or the consumer is not savvy enough to demand more? Argos had to change to survive so I suspect Carpetright is not far behind.
