Carpet installed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I'm very pissed!!! I recently got carpet installed (9/29/23) and the measurements was taken by Mariann Ryan.

She arrived at my house and took measurements and stated that the cost is going to be 910.00 for my hallway and stairs. I agreed to have Carpet factory outlet come out and install the carpet for me. The guy came to install and soon as he look at my hallway and stairs he stated that he is not going to have enough carpet to finish the landing on my stairs which he didn't once he was finish. So now I'm left with nails and wood right at the landing on my stairs and I have a granddaughter that is two years old that just yesterday got a nail in her foot due to this stupid mistake.

Still today no one have called to schedule appointment to finish off my floor. I fill that I should be compensated due to this huge error. I want this message to be sent to the overall manager on the company and please have him or her give me a call and I have pictures of the nails that sticking out of my floor. I even called up to the store and complained and the guy just stated that the carpet have to be ordered, but do it take this long for carpet to come in???

When they took my deposit the carpet was installed the following week! This is unacceptable.

Poor quality of work

We were building a new home so we had them come out and put carpet in our guest room so that we can move into the house. They did a fair job on that, and they measure the house for the rest of the carpet, but did not check the floor for level.

So we finally got them back to do carpet. They charged us an extra because the floor was out of level and they had to float it. ($400) shouldve been considered on the first trip when they measure the house would not have been an extra charge. We were doing two types of flooring, our living room and kitchen area all one room so we had to have a divider between carpeting and hard floor.

We agreed on a particular divider when they came and installed. They couldnt install that particular divider so they did something different some type of role over edge, we did not like that so we had to have them come back to put the divider in which is a little metal strip between the carpet in the hard floor per the original agreement. Also, they did not install strips on the threshold between the rooms in the doorway threshold so we had to have them come back and do that also. each trip will take several weeks to get scheduled and get them out here which was pushing back my scheduling on furniture deliveries, and etc..

the living room, and it was a large enough room to where he has a seam in it with you can see very well, and we do not like that.

So when we contact them and complain, they got very aggressive and became hard to work with at that point, and did not consider helping us at all on their poor quality of work that we are very dis-satisfied with. I would not wish this on anyone.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
this is the second carpet installed by them in the same room in the same spot where the seam has let go. the carpet is 3 years old and was told that there's nothing they can do. It will be the last time I give them any business. Don't waste your money ,pay a little more and save yourself the grief.

Terrible customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Worst carpet store to deal with. First the person measuring doesnt show when scheduled after calling to say she was 10 minutes away. Then once scheduled for installation the installers cant seem to find us on the schedule and argued they were already at my house.

Owner is an absolute jerk

I’m a 68 yr old woman who wanted to put carpet in 2 rooms of my house. They came a few days later, measured and I had a date scheduled for installation. Day of, I get a call saying they would be there between 8-10 am, then a call saying between 11:30-1:30 pm. They show up and the people who cut the rugs to size, switched the rooms and cut incorrectly. So only 1 room got installed. I was told it happens all the time by the installers. Let me say, the installers were great! I calm down and call the owner and his response was, “I’m not gonna make any money off this now so what do you want me to do about this?” Never apologized, never offered any discount, never even acted remorseful. All he could say was I should be happy I got a few extra pieces of free carpet from their mistake and that should be my compensation. His customer service skills are pitiful. I really don’t know how this place stays in business with him at the wheel. I would highly discourage anyone from going there. I bought the rugs through him so anyone he deals with to cut and install is his issue, not mine. The customer does NOT come first at this West Seneca store, the dollar signs do!

Poor installers

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had carpet installed, and i complained about the seam. They also were supposed to put strip between kitchen and livingroom. First, seam is still bad, and it took 5 months to get strip put in. I had new floor and carpets installed. I will never use this company again.

Absolute Nightmare!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have had the worst experience dealing with this place and my carpeting is still not even installed yet. Now that i've read others posts about their work i'm worried to even have it installed at all. When I walked in the store i was met by a man named Ron who has turned out to be an absolute nightmare. The whole time I was shopping I couldn't get two words in without him talking over me and just being plain rude. I decided to buy a runner for our staircase and came in the next day to make a $400 deposit. I dealt with a different guy, Joel, this time who was actually quite nice and listened to me. We were given an estimate around $800 for the staircase and landing. We decided a few days later before the carpet was ordered not to go with the landing, just the staircase. Ron let me know that the price would be the same anyway. I don't understand, less work, less carpet, but you're still charging me the same price? Weeks later Ron calls back again to set up a date for installation. Speaking to this man on the phone is near impossible, he talks over you constantly and has zero people skills. I was expecting a phone call the day before the install date. No phone call. The day of the planned install, Ron calls me to let me know the carpeting is not in yet and by the way, it is in no way his fault! He must have told me that at least three times. He says he'll call me when the carpeting does come in and then we can pick an install date. The next week I hear from him again, carpeting is in. Carpet is to be installed on thursday and he wants to know if i'd like a morning or afternoon install. I ask for morning. Last night, the day before scheduled install I get a phone call letting me know someone will call me between 8:30 and 10 to schedule a time to come out. I remind him that I asked for a morning delivery but he says, not the case, they will just call to schedule in the morning. Here we are today, date of install. I wait for a phone call until 10:00 and no one calls. I call and get Joel on the phone who apologizes to me and puts my salesman Ron on the phone and this is where things went south. Ron tells me that the carpet is not actually going to be installed today. Someone will come out to the house with the carpet, lay it out and then take it back to the store to cut and bind it and then come back some time next week to actually install it. Not once in this whole process was I told that this was a two day process. So now we're waiting another week for this carpeting. I went through the list of all the things that have occurred and why I'm not happy and Ron proceeds to tell me that he is not going to argue with me, this is not his fault and that his father is in hospice so he's having a hard week. I told him that we would almost rather lose our deposit and go with someone else because of the customer service and he says "fine". I couldn't believe that was the response given to me by a professional. I said "fine? you're not even going to try to smooth things over and keep my business?" He says, nope, i'll call them right now and cancel the install. At this point I ask for the owners name. Ron absolutely refuses to give it to me. I must have asked 10 times. Each time he refused and then finally hung up on me! The salesman that I've given $400 to and have yet to see anything for it, hung up the phone on me! I'm sitting here in shock at the way I was treated by this person we gave our business to. We will never even consider using this business again and discourage others from doing so.

Carpet Factory Outlet - Staff Review from New York, New York

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They have no customer service skills! No one returns any phone calls, when they say they are going to. They do not care how unsafe they leave your house for your children. I have a 10 month old and a 2 year old legally blind cancer child and they left all staples and tac boards in my house exposed. Was originally told that someone would be out tonight to fix this, however now i have to wait 24 hours. Jeff the owner does not care about his clients! He can sit collecting his big bucks, but he told us that he can not do anything an will not compensate us at all! The manager told us to keep our two young children confined in one room! What a joke.

An agreement was made to install 6 rooms,a hallway and a stairway in my home with carpet on may 21st.The manager called 3 days in advance to tell me the carpet was in and for me to clear out the rooms. We ordered brown for the downstairs 2 rooms and green for the upstairs, which is on the invoice. They arrived that morning. They ripped out all of the old carpet and cut it up as specified in the contract, but failed to cut it into 4ft sections, which the town requires.I did tell them beforehand as well. They began installing the wrong color carpet upstairs. The workers then tell me i'm wrong until they go look at the invoice and apologize. They only brought one color, which happened to be only for the 2 rooms downstairs. They installed that, cutting it short around the threshold, which needed to be changed to a larger one to cover the carpet. They tell me the manager should call me first thing monday morning. In the meantime i have furniture in the few rooms of my house packed to the ceiling and my family is forced to hire movers again to move it twice. They also left the nail strips in the stairway,i have 3 young children who sleep upstairs.I waited until 10:15 monday morning and called myself. The manager would not reimburse me for this major inconvenience. He tells me i already got a good deal on the carpet.I told him about the problems i am having and all he says is we will ship it up from Georgia asap and he would need to talk to a district manager to see if they could discount the price. Then he says, don't be discouraged if he doesn't call back today,he has meetings today.I found out the number for the corporate manager and finally got through to him,he sends someone to the house to take out the nails and pick up the carpet, then says he will make sure the carpet gets there asap and tells me he will follow this job through to make sure i am happy. The workers show up,finish the job,and tell me they were not instructed to discount the price and their bosses could care less about the customer,as long as they get their money. They left a huge mess we had to clean.

Was installed in my kitchen 3 years ago by a professional from Carpet Factory Outlet in Cheektowaga NY. It is not grouted so a sealant was applied between tiles. The sealant is starting to pull apart. Therefore dirt is trapped between tiles and looks very dirty. Also, the floor chips very easily. For what I paid I could have purchased hard wood flooring. I have ceramic tile that is 26 years old in my foyer and it's beautiful. I have pergo flooring in my dining and it's 12 years old and it's beautiful. I have hardwood in my den and it's beautiful. I wish I could post pictures so you could see for yourself.

Hun, I would look to see if you had a contract or something when you purchased the floor to be installed. For a fact tile floor needs to be grouted cermac or otherwise it is what keeps the tiles from moving.

As for using sealent to grout it big mistake floors and counters that are pourous need to be resealed during regular intervals to insure water damage does not occur especially if its a pourus tile. You may need to pay to have the floor redone. Best bet call a certified professional to take a look. You may be able to reuse the tile if there not damage to it.

So hun cross your fingers and call a professional contracter and see what can be done. Because if the floor stays like it is it will cost you much more in the long run with possible water damage. Hope everything goes well. P.S.

do research on who you hire ask to see work they have done before dont be afraid to do homework on people. It will save you in the end......
