Carpet Depot Flooring Installation Review from Brookhaven, Georgia
I had flooring installed by Carpet Depot and was promised an "A" job and a one year warrenty. After the company came out three times and kept running the floors even more, I wanted to ask questions to the manger. They have done nothing but go against there word. Now I'm stuck with floors that look like this: do yourself a favor and purchase and have an installer from a different company.
Reason of review
CarpetDepot low life thiefs!
As a subcontractor in the flooring business for over 30 years it has been my experience that once in a blue moon to run into a store owner who feels the need to take a percentage of the subcontractors paycheck as a retainer to use for repairs once the installer has moved on with the agreement of returning the money one year after the last completed job. Usually we are talking about $300.00 to $750.00 with a written agreement and with that money being held in a seperate escrow account. Not Carpet Depot of Tavares Florida, they want $2,500.00 from every installer with no written agreement and he is padding his own bank account with all the installers money. Must be nice ,tax free money that nobody ever sees again. That money is supposed to be in a seperate escrow account so that the installers can recieve a check for the intrest once a year. So after realizing that I was working for a crook I stopped when we reached around $1,000.00. But for the last 10 years I wonder how many installers have been screwed by this ***! I will chase this thief all the way to *** until he starts practicing fair business...Oh an by the way, consumer beware...80% of the material he sells there are of second quality and hs prices are sky high! People like this give the flooring industry a black eye for sure.
