Carol Temporaries

Carol herself doesn't even deserve the time of day, but I am writing because the girls in her office are amazing. I am not entirely sure how this woman is still in business but I am fairly certain that the girls in the office are the reason.

They are always pleasant and very helpful.

I almost feel bad for these girls because if the way the temporary employees are treated is any indication as to how these people in the office are treated, I could not imagine working closely with that old wench. If you ever want to be treated like complete crap for absolutely no reason, ask for Carol directly, that should do the trick.

I called to inquire about a position with this company. Spoke with Carol who owns the business.

This was not a pleasant experience whatsoever. Very negative and rude. I would not recommend contacting this agency if you are looking for job. I'm surprised they have been in business for as long as they have.

She did not seem professional at all in fact when I called she said 'this sounds like it is going to take awhile so let me take care of someone else and put me on hold. I was told unfortunately I've been doing this for 37 years.

That is not a positive statement or one that gives me a good feeling about my chances of her helping me. Such a shame and not way to treat a potential client.

worst place ever. they sit around and pretend to type and do paper work when really theyre on facebook, and answering phone calls denying people jobs. someone needs go check them tf out and correct their ***.

I went there a few years ago after being at home for a few years raising my kids. Not helpful, very rude. Found a great job on my own and gave been there 9 years...

That witch needs to come off her high horse because she seems to think she has it going on and all I can say is, she needs to recognize she is just another old miserable ***! I and a few people I know have gonna to see her and she is a very judgemental person, my friend who is overweight applied for a receptionist job and within 5 minutes she shot her down and was telling her about maybe warehouse work??

Give me a break, she called my other friend an outright liar, which my friend has never lied about anything to anyone!

She was so rude and disgusting! I think Carol needs to take her old *** out of the business, much better Temp places then dealing with that nasty ***!

I got a short contract through Carol a few years ago - it was a one-off for both of us, me being out of my usual geographic area and she not being specialized in my industry, but together we met her client's needs and made each other some money. She was great to work with, utterly professional and rather sweet-natured.

I'm sure Carol's no pushover, but she was very kind and attentive to me when I worked through her agency. Frankly, it was a tricky client but she was very supportive, and in most respects it was a good job.

If there was another contract in my line of work with Carol Temporaries, I wouldn't hesitate to take it.

Worst agency ever. They don't want to help anyone!

I found both the staff and Carol very professional and pleasant -- even though my medical restrictions and lack of computer skills prevented me from acquiring a job through Carol Temporaries. Perhaps a competitor is writing negative reviews about Carol Temporaries to try to put them out of business. Last week, I applied online for an administrative assistant. The ad did not state that it was a ''temp'' agency.

I received an email from the secretary stating that Carol would not be around until the next week. I told her I was open availability and we booked for a 9:30 appointment. I didn't even know the secretary's last name. She did not give me any contact information.

No last name, phone number, address or their website. I had to google them. I arrived early and filled out the paperwork. Very simple information.

I currently work at Mcdonald's overnights and I am looking for a better position. Carol seemed very angry that I had a ''job'' already and did not want to help me. I had to explain that working overnights means that I have total open availability during the day and I have worked a day job and my overnight job together with no issues. I went to leave and told her I did not like the vibes I received from the receptionist or herself and she tried to make things better.

She said I did not get a call because I applied at a job fair which was not true. As I stated to her, I applied online and she had to check through her applications online to make sure. She said she had a job for the following week and I would need to get my own background check for this. I said I could probably get it from my past job but I called them and they said no.The woman on the phone was quite rude and transferred me to another receptionist when I first called back to say my last job could not give me the background check.

I wonder why it would be a difficult thing for her if shes been in the industry for 30+ years?

I really would not recommend their services. Adecco is bad, but this company is worse.

All I am going to say is avoid this place. It will be a waste of time. Yeah, there are TONS of listings for this company but they will lure you in and spit you out. I went to "interview" for this place in the fall of 2012. I arrived sat for 30 mins to fill out the paper work. Then to find out that Carol wasn't even there yet for my appointment. So I had to wait more. When I finally went in she looked at my resume and complained about it. I told her I went to a professional source to get my resume done and she was complaining. No one else has complained about it and in fact I have been hired off of my resume before. Then she said nevermind that my resume was fine. She proceeded to say how I am qualified for the position I applied for BUT she has something even "better" for me. I took the offer up. I waited a week and haven't heard back after she said SHE would call ME. I called them and they gave me attitude saying that I should be the one calling and they had no positions for me. Whatever.

They will talk you up, get your hopes up and then nothing happens. They can be really rude over the phone too.

As a matter of fact avoid ALL temp agencies!

Do not use Carol Temporaries in Newburgh, NY - if you think she will find you a job, you are in for a shocker. She is nothing but talk and very rude to her "clients".

I was looking for a job as an Admin Assistant for 9 months and I find it hard that in 9 months there was absolutely nothing. She will tell you to take any job at any rate, knowing she will make profit on "selling" you, but you will be lucky to get a buck or two above minimum rate.

She is loud and obnoxious and very very rude and looks down on people.
