Talk the talk but that's it...
UPDATE: Where's the no star option. On 5 August, the President of CPG, Barbara Adams, sent an email informing me she had taken over my file.
After a couple emails to set up a time for discussion, she informed me that she had just seen my review posted online. She then proceeded to convey only a half accurate account of the events that had occurred since I first made contact with them. My reply was justified with exact dates on my email communications with them and dates of phone call that were backed up by the emails I still had in possession. She also stated that my online review was inaccurate because they respond to all inquiries M-F within 24 hours.
Well if I sent questions on 27 July and you only responded on 5 August, that's not within 24 hours is it? As of 6 August, her email reply was thanking me for my "rendition" of the events (so in essence, my spin on the matter despite having the actual emails and proof of communication and phone bill with the date and time of calls). Then she proceeded to tell me that I had to have had a resume when I applied to go officer from enlisted to which I responded that no, my route was through college/ROTC and that was not part of the application; however, I did thank you for reminding me what went into my application given she was not part of the process 9 years ago (obviously sarcasm). What a joke.
After submitting an email to them to discuss their services, it was 3 straight days of getting calls and emails to set up a phone call.
After setting the call up and going over their services provided, it obviously turned towards the sales pitch on why CPG is the best out there. Don't have an issue with that because in the end, it is a business service. However, after I mentioned that I would be talking to other resume services before any final decision, the call ended with again a pitch on ensuring to ask questions of the other resume providers and how CPG is not a resume mill. However, since that conversation and receiving my quote for the jobs, I extensively read through their website, the profiles of all their writers, researched the questions I should be asking a company such as CPG.
Once I compiled a list of questions based on what I found on their website and other companies, I have since reached out to them by email 3 times with those questions.
No one has even bothered to return my emails or call to discuss my additional questions, despite being told on the phone that should I have additional questions, to get in contact. If you claim to be the best in the land and have all of this experience, I sure hope that a few in-depth pointed questions about the company and its writers wouldn't be hard to answer, especially at a quote of $1100.

This review seems to have been written about another company. We are CareerPro Resumes, not CPG, and our President is Jody N.
Gothard, an award-winning journalist, not Barbara Adams. In fact, there aren't even any females in our office. Please delete this review from our site, as this "pissed off" individual is someone else's client!
Thank you for addressing this matter. The CareerPro Team.
