Ripped Off, Phishing Scam
- - Tried to sell an Alfa Romeo 166 to CarBuyers.
- - Received 5 Jan 2025 email about Geoff Florrimell contacting me to offer cash; SMS said they do not buy.
Contacted CarBuyers to sell me Alfa Romeo 166 car. I got a personalised email on Sunday the 5th, Jan, 2025 to tell me Geoff Florrimell of www.CarBuyers.com.au had been trying to contact me to offer cash for me car.
Elated, I replied to email, giving my details, and details of where car was located and times CarBuyers could collect. I was asked to ring a number provided by Geoff representing CarBuyers. I used my mobile to ring the number.
I then got 1x SMS reply stating, 'Unfortunately we do not want to buy your car.' from CarBuyers.com.au.
Car Buyers are a cohort of callous and capricious chauvinists. A cohort of Phishers, Spammers and Scammers.
