The one acting up and breaking rules was you and your friends. You need to get a life and knock that giant chip off your shoulder.

Would you please post an accurate accounting of that night. Why should you be allowed to lie and post any *** you want. I was there and that is not how it happened !

On December 19th, 2020 I experienced racial discrimination at Car-Vel Skate Leon Valley located at 6807 Bandera Road San Antonio, Texas 78238.

I was instructing a group of skaters, including some employees, on how to perform a skate move I put my phone down in the middle of the rink near a Christmas ornament where it was no people and out of the way to help everyone. Approximately, 45 minutes later a man who said he was a security guard for the facility walked onto the rink and began to threaten me he put up his hands up towards me as if to hit me.

I was afraid for my life and safety. I am a young women who is 5'5 and 150 pounds the security was about 6'2 and 300 pounds. Afraid that I was going to get attacked a Military Vet stepped in to protect me.

He told the guard that he should never threaten a woman in the manner that he did, he then began to verbally attack the Military Vet. Later on in the night a man was on the floor texting on his phone, he stayed on the floor in the way of all the skaters for about 30 minutes.

Then another man put his phone down to sit on the ground then began to skate with his phone in his hand having a conversation, to which he almost knocked down a group of people. The Military Vet walked to the guard and asked him why he did not say anything to the other skaters that are causing actual safety hazards? The guard told the Military Vet that he did not work at the skating rink.

The Military Vet went to the manager and reported our mistreatment. The manager assured us that he would talk to the guard he hired, another employee who witnessed everything also came to my defense and told the manager I did nothing wrong.

At the end of the night I asked the manager if he talked to the security he hired and the manager said I didnt see anything so I will not talk to him and we hired him to handle certain kinds of people sorry I wont help you". I want to take this moment to point out that I am African American and the other skaters causing actual safety hazards were not.

I pulled the security to the side to ask him why he treated me differently from the non-blacks customers and told him it felt like a racial attack but I wanted to verify instead of assume. He got in my face and put his arms up again as if to hit me and called his uncle over to chastise me and block me in against the glass door behind me. At this moment I knew they were going to hurt me.

The Military Vet came to my aid again and stepped beside me. Thats when the security started making racial references to us and began to be disrespectful also threatening to throw me out. I walked away and sat down with friends. The security walked behind me and stopped a distance away and made a phone call I was terrified that he was calling more people to try to threaten and attack us but to my relief he called the police instead.

I thought the police department would protect me but they didnt.

They racial profiled another skater who was not involved in what happened and didnt even know what was going on so they came and left.

As I was walking to my car the security called me a racist slur and then said "Dont want to see you next Thursdays cause if I do God bless you". I have attached a picture of the man who threatened my life.
