Car Keys Express damaged by car and cost me $1200

I have a car with only 1 key but it worked fine. I met the Car Keys Express technician at the Nissan dealer near me to get additional keys. The technician worked on my vehicle. When he was done neither the original or replacement key he made would work in the vehicle. I had to leave the vehicle at the Nissan dealer for a week and cost me $1200. Car keys express would not respond until in sent them 2 certified letters and then they refused to reimburse me for damaging my car. Very unethical company and leadership. Kevin Leamy is the company representative that I dealt with. He is unethical and has no integrity and would not accept any responsibility for damaging my car.

Thank you writer!

I read in detail every word on how you and your family was treated, and the way you explained all that you encountered with car key express, I could really feel your frustration and this help me with my decision to look else for key service, thank you because it seems to me that a lot of companies are providing very poor Costermer service and don’t care anything about the costermer, I guess the customer is left out of costermer services.

Car Key Express Key Duplication Service Review from Baton Rouge, Louisiana

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My wife lost her keys, while she was on a run, on a Saturday. When she called the dealership they referred her to Car Keys Express. She called and left a message on Saturday and again on Monday, because they don't work on the weekends, she received a call back on Monday by Ron and was told that the keys would need to be ordered and would arrive Tuesday and he would come out Wednesday morning to unlock the vehicle and program the remote. Tuesday night we contacted Ron to see what time to meet the next day and we were told, the keys had not come in...not sure when he was going to let us know that. We were assured the keys would be in the next day and everything taken care of Wednesday evening. We contacted him again Wednesday evening and were told that he would have to do it on Thursday because of his schedule. We got the same excuse late Thursday and he promised to meet us with the keys Friday morning before his route. On Friday morning Ron texted us saying he couldn't do it unless we had the vehicle towed to the dealership and even then it wouldn't be done until the following Monday. At this point, having set aside time every day since Tuesday, I called and asked why we hadn't been told this sooner? Ron could have told my wife on Monday that he couldn't do it but instead he kept trying to make arrangements each day and requested a cash tip for "doing us a favor". Friday he said his supervisor told him not to come help us suggesting that it might not be our car, basically accused us of trying to use them to steal our own car! After arguing with him for a few minutes he said he would call me back...when he called back he told me he had convinced his supervisor to let him come help us as a "favor" to me, I'm assuming he wanted to extort a larger cash tip from us as he had already told us how much he wanted for a tip on Wednesday. I told Ron to forget he ever knew us because we would never use his company after everything we had been through. By this time I had lost all trust in Car Keys Express and was a little worried about the fact that they have my name and the vin number of my vehicle as well as keys for the same. The only reason we were using Car Keys Express is because the dealership told us that they were the only company who could get the keys because it was a newer model vehicle. This wasn't true, we found a local company on Friday that took care of everything within 6 hours of us contacting them. Car Keys Express wasted six days of our time on a matter that a much more efficient company resolved in six hours. We will never use Car Keys Express again and I hope this review keeps anyone else from experiencing what we did.

I was ready to do business with Car Keys Express but after reading the reviews I am glad I check first. Almost got caught.

Car Key Express doesn't do anything expressly!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Our sons girlfriend recently bought a car cheap without a remote. The remote (bob) needed to be purchased, but they did show her how to run the car without it. She was told they couldn't find even the bob she needed. The car eventually shut down and won't restart now without the bob. We called a couple Nissans and all said the car was no longer in their system. They said they use Car Key Express, who have companies county wide, and they should be able to help us. On Saturday morning my husband called and got a voice message asking for name and number saying they would get back to him. An hour later I also sent an e-mail to the help center on their web page. On Monday morning my husband recalled stating he would like to speak to someone about his disappointment in the company. They finally called back after noon and said "we don't work Saturday's and if you had called my number I would have told you that". He also explained that they only work for dealerships, not personal people. My husband explained that a dealership gave him their name in hopes of helping us, he said they were wrong and got angry at us. Rechecked web page, it says they work for dealers, but does not say they won't work with people not associated with a dealership.

I had the same experience. This company seems to be exclusively manned by jerks.

I'm going back to the dealership to complain.

I believe this relates to a US company and not any other company trading with a similar name in other countries

This appears to relate to Car 'Keys' Express which is a US company
