I have been going to Captain Keno's for over 35 years. I have never had a bad meal there!
You can always find a table or booth, and the food is served promptly and with a smile. You get a bit of local color, but nothing offensive ..... some of us enjoy relaxing with a cocktail or dining with family and friends. I love Captain Keno's and will continue to go there for the rest of my life.
I'm 72 now, so I hope to
celebrate my 80th birthday there (and more) ! Keep up the good work!!!

This Encinitas restaurant and bar off coast highway 101 has some very strange people that hang out there. Cheap drinks brings you in, but, not a place where a women will feel safe.
I had a lot of gross looking druggy dudes hitting on me and *** bartenders who kept looking at my *** all night. I will not be going back in here again.

Sleazy place

- The booth was ripped and sticky.
- There is mold in jelly; dishes are left on tables for hours; walls and the bathroom are dirty.
This is a sleazy grungy place. The first warning sign was they don't even take credit cards.
Cash only. The booth I sat in was ripped and I stuck to the seat. Jelly containers had mold when I open them up. Several tables had dishes left on them that must of been there for hours.
Walls were dirty and the bathroom was more filthy and nauseating.
Worse than a rest stop or a bathroom at the beach. This establishment sure does bring down the property value of this upscale community.
Homeless Country Club for Racist Patrons and Psycho's

Been in here a couple of times from my experience and opinion is, this places is a homeless country club. The derelicts that circulate in this town migrate here for the cheap tasteless food.
They are know for feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving which is not bad thing and also give out free pizza and muffins late at night bringing in this socially undesirable crowd. Most of the clientele who hang out here are very mentally unbalance and must of got a furlough from a mental hospital or poorly educated millennials with no sense of fashion. There was a guy in the bar making racist jokes about Jews and Mexicans and the wimpy skinny bartender did nothing about it let it him carry on. They have other bartenders who are rude like Devin and there is this 350 pound angry Samoan who has intense killer eyes you feel threaten by his demeanor.
It is a very scary place like a bar you would find you if you were taking a rafting trip in some backwoods area hearing the soundtrack to Deliverance. The restaurant is filthy. I wonder does the health department inspect outside the kitchen?
I've seen food under the table and the place never seen a vacuum cleaner. Food on the sidewalk and trashed scattered in the parking lot.
