Capital Cooking Equipment support issues
- - Support line redirected to Adco; Capital no longer handles support.
- - Adco provided only parts drawings; no manual or troubleshooting info.
I called Capital Cooking Equipment's support number when the oven in my Capital model 366GCR gas range suddenly quit working. I purchased this range new about 3 and1/2 years ago.
Even though i called the support number i got off the Capital web sight the number i called was routed to a company located in Arizona called Adco. When i asked the Adco representative why they were answering the phone instead of Capital he told me Capital was tired of receiving support requests/phone calls. They were taking care of support for Capital now. He asked what my zip code was (90731).
He gave me the phone number of the nearest appliance repair shop that they had for the Capital range. I called Sunset appliance repair in Irvine, they are 37 miles south of me. They told me i was outside their service area. When I asked if they could recommend some in my area they recommended Carters Appliance Repair.
I know of Carters they are a reputable company that service a huge amount of appliance equipment in my area. When i asked them(Carters) about servicing a Capital range they said no. I called Adco back and told them about the issue. They gave me a phone number for Lerman appliance repair.
Same problem i am out side their service area. I called Adco again and asked them if they could supply me with a Service/Repair manual for the Capital range. They said all they had was a drawing for parts and could furnish parts.
No manual or technical information to troubleshoot and repair the range. It never was available according to them.
What kind of Company sells a $4000 plus range and neglects the customer support.
If your thinking of buying a high end appliance think about the company making and the support that will be there for it in the futurd
Such a disappointment
- - The price of the 36" Culinarian rangetop jumped by $800.
- - The customer service email was returned.
- - The reviewer had high expectations for Capital.
I was so looking forward to buying their 36" Culinarian rangetop until its price just jumped $800. Of course, I wanted to know why...So I used their customer service email address and sent them an email... but that address doesn't work- the email was returned.
I had such high expectations for Capital.
- Beautiful ranges
- Customer service
- Inflated cost
Capital Range
- - Purchased Capital range in 2015.
- - Extended warranties paid; oven glass shattered during cleaning.
- - First use of the feature.
- - Not covered and no reply.
We purchased a capital range in 2015. We paid additional funds for both extended warranties, our oven door the glass shattered an hour into the 3 hour cleaning cycle.
The first time we ever used this feature. We contacted both Godekers (where we purchased it) and capital. We were told without asking for a name or email that this was not covered by both companies. We were also told to complain.
I sent an email with all documentation and photos and have not heard yet.
$10,000 stove large oven unusable. We were then told it would be anywhere from $500 to $1000 to replace, but again never asked for any info at all to check and see if we had a warranty.
I’m not pissed. I couldn’t find the model number
I just didn’t bend down far enough!
Thanks for your help.
Defective grill. No customer service. One month to replace.
- - Electrics failed at install; lights, starter, and rotisserie didn't work, wires were not connected.
- - Replacement took a month; compensation denied.
I bought a Capital Cooking Equipment 40" gas grill. It was professionally installed but none of the electrics worked - lights, starter, rotisserie.
They sent out their own installer who discovered that most of the wires were not connected. After over an hour he was unable to get anything working so he said they would replace it. Despite numerous requests I still waited a month for a replacement. I requested some form of compensation for the inconvenience but they refuse.
They have been unresponsive and downright rude and I regret ever buying anything from them and never will again. The absolute worst example of customer service I have ever seen in my life.
