Hospice Largo Md

AI Highlights
  • - No hospice aide arrived in his final hours; staff said they couldn't send anyone.
  • - A staffer told her to call back at death and to give morphine.
Updated by user Jun 11, 2015

They apologized and said the employee was talked to and informed me this will never happen again. It is not the way it should have been handled. That doesn't help my Uncle.I hear wonderful things with Hopice and I believe that most Hospice Care facilities are wonderful unfortunately we didn't get one.

Original review May 11, 2015

My Uncle was in his last hours when the death rattle occurred. After 2 hrs my 76 yr old Aunt called the number Hospice Capital Caring of Largo Md had advised us to do.When she asked for someone she was told that they just couldn't send someone to be there because they may be needed elsewhere. My Aunt told her about the rattle and her response was Yes I could hear it.So call back when he EXPIRES! Just give him Morphine.I thought Hospice was suppose to be caring. My Uncle died at 5:24 am but his time of death was recorded at 9:45 because that's when the nurse came.It took another few hours for them to pick my Uncle up.
