I just received a letter in the mail from the County Courthouse; there was a judgment levied against me for approximately $16,000 from Capital Alliance Financial. I'm in the process of filing bankruptcy, and this bottom feeder collection agency had been informed of that fact.
The letter doesn't even have the name or address of the lawyer or collection agency on it. I called the Court to obtain some information on this default judgment. The clerk stated that this is a firm that is supposedly located in Michigan. The clerk also stated that I was served a warrant for this judgment, according to the file.
I was NEVER served with any kind of a warrant, and I informed the clerk of this. Needless to say, I'm furious. These bottom feeder collection agencies are ruthless and relentless, and will go to any means neccessary to collect on debt that has already been charged off by the credit card company. These @$$holes can actually go into your bank account, garnish your wages to obtain their money.
I immediately contacted my attorney, who stated that I should remove any money from my accounts.
To top it off, I'm unemployed, so the only income that I have is from my unemployment. Unbelievable...

This is a junk debt buyer associated with Stenger and Sternger law firm, and midwest recovery group, llc. They buy junk debt from credit card companies like Chase bank and double charges and take debtor to court hoping they won't show up, they are making millions on the fact that you don't show, don't fight them, or just don't get notified.
They buy these debts for pennies on the dollar and then collect. They have the same manager, Amanda McKendry a 38 yr old female who signs all there affidavits swearing to know the debt is valid and that they are the legal owner of the dept. They don't have enough information to usually win a suit if you show up and fight, they are praying off the economically hurting people of America and getting away with it through the court system because they are owned by a brilliantly evil genius who the SEC actually likes and uses to fight against securities fraud, when his company commits fraud daily. Go to court and fight them make them stop these "legal crimes".
The judge will rule for them even if they don't have a good case if you don't show or don't fight.
Look them up there are articles everywhere that can show you how to fight them. :(
My 78 yr old father had the same problem with the "Midwest Recovery Group, LLC. My father went to court because he was never served any notice whatsoever of the debt.
In court, Midwest Recovery Group, LLC, stated they had a sheriff serve my father, which was a bald face lie. Their was a sheriff that came to the court hearing and he lied under oath and stated that he served my father. Therefore, my father lost the case and a lien was put on his house-even though my father was working with an agency to help him pay the debt. Midwest Recovery Group, LLC doubled plus the amount my father originally owed.
I would like to know if there is any class action lawsuit against this debt collector. And yes, it is true, there is no way to contact this debt collection company (no phone numbers, etc).
These people are irritating as helll....now they *** are garnishing my check..i hope these people will get the

I recieved a letter stating that a trial has been set for February 17, 2011 in Barrow County, GA. I have not lived in GA for almost a year and this is the first notice I've received. I have no idea what this is about. Since I lost my Son and my home I am living with relatives and have no way of getting to GA. I am at this time unemployed with 0 income.
I am in the process of filing bankruptcy and need some time to address this, what ever it is.
